  1. Feel like Manning is the last of guys with great class, I mean it was Manning vs. Lewis all night, and for him to wait for Lewis outside of the Ravens locker room to congratulate and wish him good luck is true class. I bet both of them know they're from their own era of football and are icons of a generation of football. They're the last of a lot of players they've known their entire career who have already called it quits.
  2. He doped, she doped, we all doped. I for one, choose to blame society. Hmphf.
  3. I'd just like to say that all this "politically correct" fuss over Brent Musberger's comments when AJ McCarron's girlfriend was on screen is some bullshit. He didn't say anything that should have offended anyone, made a societal joke about how quarterback's get all the good-looking woman, and moved on.... like seriously, what the hell is everyone's problem.
  4. Week 1 is underway in the Super Gridiron League! Everyone involved check out the Week 1 Preview!

  5. Thank god for that guy ^^ EDIT: http://www.ewwarehouse.info/mod-index/ew-mod-index/ You can download it there, the files should come with a .PDF called the NWA Handbook, which gives a great detail on the historical setting of the iDOMINATION scenario.
  6. I've always hated this idea. There's no point. ROH does not touch TNA in terms of exposure and popularity. The benefits of TNA going out of their way to merge with ROH would be slim to none, and would lead to every casual fan just asking themselves, "what the hell is ROH". If TNA wants guys that ROH has, they could sign them with ease, but only if the worker wants to put up with the backstage politics and situations in TNA. I like what the poster above mentioned about Heyman taking over in 2006 and becoming head booker then, giving the timeline six years to build TNA up as a real contender with the WWE. Given that situation, I could imagine ROH becoming completely irrelevant, given that the backstage climate of TNA would probably be much better, professional, well organized, and enjoyable than it is in real life, and the stars of ROH would love to join the company on the up and rise which also promotes great wrestling, instead of staying in the indies where they prefer to showcase their talents instead of becoming some scrub on the current TNA roster, where all those guys are really just trying to earn a decent paycheck.
  7. That ending was weak but I can't imagine what next episode's cliff hanger is gonna be for the mid-season finale...
  8. This is fuxin awesome. Can we please have a section of sorts for all games. Especially EWR...
  9. this song makes studying so much nicer :) --->

  10. I probably won't, not that it's a bad observation and objection, but the entire data of workers is under the premise of a worker's natural charismatic value and versatility in the long run. I think there are a few ways to look at it when dealing out a statistic like charisma, and I took one of them.
  11. Who is this man-beast btw? For FusionFX
  12. Yeah man go for it, I could use all the help I can get. I've also had a similar interest in diving into the history of Border City Wrestling as well so I can start on that.
  13. Those are some useful links, thanks man I too am looking for a useful pic pack for this era, but didn't wanna spend the time putting it together right after I finished the database. As you see the only other one I added with the AWF which was a shit ass 80's-old school promotion using nothing but 35+ year old wrestlers in 1996. Thought it was a fun edition to the database. As for other promotions, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna add some more, and already have a list compiled of what was around at this time which I can develop accurate rosters for, thanks to cagematch.net for now, but there are plenty of other sources waiting to be tapped. Here's a list in order of the first to open to the most recent... Slammers Wrestling Federation (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=315) Windy City Pro Wrestling (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=706) Century Wrestling Alliance (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=364) Pro Wrestling Federation (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=205) Power League Wrestling (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=353) Southern States Wrestling (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=204) Mid Eastern Wrestling Federation (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=105'>http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=105) Border Championship Wrestling (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=85) East Coast Wrestling Association (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=21) Insane Championship Wrestling (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=477) NWA Mid American Wrestling (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=108'>http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=108) Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=209) Steel City Wrestling (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=107'>http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=107) Canadian Wrestling Federation (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=958) Pro Wrestling eXpress (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=336) All Pro Wrestling (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=24) Confederate Wrestling Alliance (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=588) Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=134) IWA Mid-South (http://www.cagematch.net/?id=8&nr=10) Some promotions I know I want to put in are Border Championship Wrestling, ECWA, Cleveland All-Pro, All Pro Wrestling, ECCW, IWA Mid-South, Windy City Pro, and Century Wrestling Alliance...the rest will come after those which will take awhile to get into the data...
  14. Aight check the first post, I've added two links to start off, if any specific hosts are requested let me know. And yeah, I pretty much spent hours upon hours getting this bitch done. But there's still a bunch more work to be gone. Also you guys please critique the stats and everything else, so in future versions it's even better!
  15. So yeah, this is pretty much done. Just focusing on making sure things are consistent throughout when it comes to statistic numbers, contract salaries, ect. Also I'm working on a little handbook for the scenario, including a description of recent happenings in each company, and a quick snippet of each company's last show results. If you wanna write a description for any of the three companies heading into August 1996, feel free to send them to me via PM, I'd be happy to include and use the best one! Also almost complete with a skin for the scenario(s).
  16. I've added Curt Hennig in as a non-wrestler under a WWF contract. One thing I wish EWR always had was the ability to check a wrestler as injured when you start the data, but in any case, I'd consider him under WWF contract at this point. Should I make it written or open contract, 'cause for now I have it down as written... I've made some other adjustments as I'm going through the current rosters and non-contracted workers. So far as I make my way through my final set of workers to edit, I'm through A-G, and still have H-Z to go... As for now, I may look up a few workers I want to see if they should be added to the database if not already included, but I plan on sticking with the 430+ workers in the database right now, then continually releasing updates with workers added thanks to effort of my research and others posting in this thread. The way I see it, this will be sort of like a monthly updated thing, where new scenarios based on certain points in time, such as Wrestlemania's, start of Stone Cold 3:16, ECW becoming Extreme Championship Wrestling, Hulk Hogan's signing with the WCW, ect. will be created until an efficient timeline of important points in wrestling history with accurate rosters all on a consistent statistical and financial level, is accumulated creating a mastered set of EWR scenarios... I still have to finish creating the rest of the staff, as well as assigning workers to all three companies. I probably won't make any more companies until I start issuing out monthly, semi-weekly updates. Tag Teams still probably need some work, but Stables are all set. The Alter Egos already in the database are pretty solid so far, but as discussed before, Relationships have hardly been touched... I need to go through my current Sponsors database because I set the financial payouts way to high, and need to lower the average pay from like $300k down to $70k-$100k, that way smaller companies like ECW and created companies don't start making ridiculous amounts of money every month because the average worker salary is between $5,000-$15,000. TV Networks, TV Shows, Belts, and Events all finished. I say I could have this puppy finished with the 430+ worker foundation within a week.
  17. Pertaining to The Sultan, I think him being put in there as The Sultan and not Fatu is okay because according to Obsessed With Wrestling.com The Sultan debuted on RAW September 16th, 96, while his latest appearance as Fatu was May 6th... As for Crush, I'll change it thanks it was tough to find anything on him in 1996 and took some vague information from Wikipedia. As for relationships, I agree that is a good way to do it, but I haven't really touched them recently. I'm more focused on the roster right now, and staff as well, while I'll certainly get to the relationships at some point. That's why I hope people post a bunch in here so when I do get to it I can run through the posts quickly and already have a great start to them. Meanwhile, I'm back to work!
  18. Aight here they are let me know if anyone can do anything http://www.sharebeast.com/d8mladjnmi3d
  19. Some of these guys you've mentioned are all those I was questioning as well, so I'm glad you guys addressed them. Looking a little deeper into Christian, I now don't think he was signed by the WWF in August '96, so I'll put him back on the open market... I should probably take Mark Henry off as well, because Wikipedia says he was signed by the WWF after the 96 Summer Olympics, which were finished on August 4th, 1996, which is after when this data is supposed to begin... Matt Bloom (A-Train/Giant Bernardo) should probably also be taken off and into the indies, considering he wouldn't debut in the sport until 1997... My bad on those. As for Darren Drozdov, Wikipedia says he didn't debut until 1997 as well, so he should remain un-signed. Same goes for Andrew Martin. I'll try to figure out this large event announcers business... Didn't work for me... Any suggestions on how to solve this? Also, is my data corrupt forever? Anyone want the data to fuck with it and try to fix it?
  20. What do you mean? EDIT: Re-installed EWR then re-pasted DATA, still get the same error. Tried re-installing the original promo.dat from the database I began with, and still get the same error, so it must be something to do with the workers? Staff? Announcers?
  21. Uh Oh. I just got the Run Time Error '383' everytime I click the promotions button in the editor. Any suggestions?

  23. I agree on the contract salaries for ECW, so I lowered them severly, and figure that pay scales for promotions that may be regional or small wont have much discrepancy between cards and pay, which will only be for global promotions who would swone popular independent workers with the exposure and money they can offer. I also forgot to write down a few wrestlers for the promotion, like Jericho and D-Von Dudley... 24. Well I've made serious progress on this project...but still have aways to go... As for WCW, I think I'm nearly complete with it. I've got all the wrestlers that were with the company at this time, and at this point, need to go through each wrestler and compare stats with one another so that the right people are better than others are brawling, speed, ect. Moving on to the staff I have a realistic roster of staff members, but still need a decent sized list of real road agents who were with the company at this time. Next I moved on to ECW, and are pretty sure I've got a realistic roster for August 1996 as well. The only person I know I'm missing, but seriously cannot find any information about, is The Dirtbike Kid. If you have any real information available on him, I will gladly throw him into the mix. Below is the roster... Extreme Championship Wrestling Main Eventers Raven (H/Loner) ($70,000) Sabu (F/Daredevil) ($75,000) Shane Douglas (H/Franchise Player) ($80,000) The Sandman (F/Fun Drunk) ($66,000) Tommy Dreamer (F/Extremist) ($73,000) Upper Midcarders Brian Lee (H/Bad Ass) ($42,000) Rob Van Dam (F/Show Stealer) ($52,000) Steve Williams (H/Machine) ($57,000) Taz (H/Machine) ($48,000) Terry Gordy (F/Extremist) ($55,000) Midcarders Buh Buh Ray Dudley (H/Extremist) ($37,000) Don Harris (H/Monster) ($25,000) Doug Furnas (H/Monster) ($26,000) Fatu (H/Evil Foreigner) ($38,000) John Kronus (H/Machine) ($25,000) Mustafa Saed (F/Gangsta) ($30,000) New Jack (F/Gangsta) ($33,000) Phil LaFon (H/Old School Heel) ($26,000) Pitbull #1 (F/Bad Ass) ($32,000) Pitbull #2 (F/Bad Ass) ($32,000) Sal Bellomo (F/Old School Face) ($30,000) Samu (H/Evil Foreigner) ($38,000) Stevie Richards (H/Lackey) ($28,000) Too Cold Scorpio (F/Cool) ($40,000) Lower Midcarders Axl Rotten (F/Extremist) ($20,000) Bad Crew #1 (H/Bad Ass) ($15,000) Bad Crew #2 (H/Bad Ass) ($15,000) Big Dick Dudley (H/Putz) ($16,000) Hack Meyers (F/Old School Face) ($16,000) Johnny Smith (F/Foreign Star) ($24,000) JT Smith (H/Old School Heel) ($23,000) Louie Spicolli (F/Fun Babyface) ($21,000) Mikey Whipwreck (F/Underdog) ($21,000) Mr. Hughes (H/Enforcer) ($ The Blue Meanie (H/Comedy Character) ($16,000) Openers Devon Storm (H/Cool) ($7,000) Juventud Guerrera (H/Luchadore) ($10,000) Little Guido (H/Fiery Italian) ($12,000) Matt E. Graziano (H/Fiery Italian) ($9,000) (Manages: Little Guido) Sign Guy Dudley (H/Weirdo) ($8,000) (Manages: Buh Buh Ray Dudley, D-Von Dudley) Non-Wrestlers Joel Gertner (H/Obnoxious) ($17,000) Paul Heyman (H/Evil Boss) ($0) Rick Rude (H/Ravishing) ($60,000) Tag Teams Active Doug Furnas & Dan Kroffat (Exp: 90) The Eliminators (Exp: 80) The Bruise Brothers (Exp: 77) The Pitbulls (Exp: 35) The Gangstas (Exp: 30) The Bad Crew (Exp: 25) The Dudley Boyz (Exp: 17) The Samoan Gangsta Party (Exp: 13) - Take a look at face/heel disposition and gimmicks for each wrestler. What seems wrong? - Those in developmental deal at this point were training in ECW House of Hardcore, and most of them would debut in real life a short time after August 1996. - Did the same thing for staff as I did with WCW. Researched and tried to make as realistic as possible. Also relating to staff, I've come up with a system of staff members for each position, with a tier order of talent, instead of just random names with random talent abilities. I've gone down with two of each from 100, 96, 92, 88, 85, 82, ect. They are all in order alphabetically, and have implemented this system with the Production staff members (with different sets of workers such as "Camera Crews", "TV Producers" ect., used the system on Medics, and will be doing so for Writers, most likely Road Agents (along with real ones), and Trainers (along with real ones). As for TV Networks, they are pretty much complete. I've done research on what was around, and appropriately created what was existing and would have been probable (even with the slimest chance) of hosting a wrestling show. All the max ratings are set, and I've dropped the idea of "Local Network" with the generic setting checked, and instead created four seperate, each corresponding with the big networks, hence there are four generic networks called "Local NBC Affiliate", "Local ABC Affiliate", ect. Also, I want to make it impossible on these networks to have a show on Early Evening, because at this time the local news would be running, and there is no way some small wrestling company would take over the timeslot 8-6. So for each local affiliate network, I've put the TV Rating possibility to 0.00 and Risk at 0%. Speaking of risk, I've appropriated for each network the appropriate risk level for each time slot corresponding with the risk levels in the game that set the bar for what types of matches you can hold. So instead of random risk levels, it all makes sense. Sponsors are nearly complete. I think I went from like 40 sponsors to 193 so far. Everything you can think of, while I'm still trying to think of more. And the morality system I've created maybe a little different, but it works for sure. Let's say you're risk level is at 66%, which is what WCW and WWF will be because that is the highest risk level neccessary to perform matches such as War Games and TLC, but is the level under 71% which just lets you do High Incident matches, which these promotions wouldn't do. So these promotions would be able to get sponsors with a morality of 33% or lower, because the formula for deciding what sponsors are interested in you is RISK % + SPONSOR MORALITY < 100. So at 66% + 33% from the sponsor, is 99%, which is a sponsor which is interested in you. But with a company like ECW, they wouldn't be able to get 33% sponsors, and no company can get Disney, the highest paying sponsor, with a morality in the very high 90%'s. So yeah throw your comments out. I'm working on WWF at this moment, then when that's done, I'll be searching for smaller promotions around during this time and will try to compile accurate rosters, so it's not just those three promotions in the game.
