Screaming is an acquired taste, some people like it and some people don't. I've actually had people cover their ears while I listen to bands like alexisonfire on my headphones. It's just a matter of loving it or hating it I guess.

Something nice and repetitive and recycled, to reflect nicely with the GTA series as a whole.

I was a bit skeptical at first, as the Smackdown series is notorious for its massive letdowns. But I'm really starting to buy all the hype that's going into this game. Online play, face and heel meters, manager interference, create a belt, and create a PPV are all thuings that I can get excited about.

I fondly remember watching the show here in Canada on TVO, though it's seemingly disappeared as of late. Good to see that more kids will grow up with the ridiculous awesomness of Postman Pat and his black and white cat.

Gasp! Trash talking Windsor, eh? I'll admit, we had a few murders last year. And I'll admit, one was right near my house. And yes, I'll admit that I was heavily involved, but let me tell you.... and I've said too much. Ugh, this "Michael Moore spreads lies/no he doesn't" point/counterpoint thing has been way over done around here lately. Yes, he spins facts, it's what good filmmakers do. You use the evidence you've got to support your argument. This was somewhere up above, and it made me laugh. How difficult can it be to properly mark a ballot? And how convenient is it that a multitude of Gore ballots were found to be improperly marked, and that the amount was substantial enough to lose him the election? Vote tampering has never seemed so blatantly obvious.

I'd go with the Mars Volta's Deloused in the Comatorium. Absolutely brilliant stuff.

it's not as though they went after him on bended knee to provide assistance for the game. He applied for a grant, he was excepted. More power to him.

Ugh, bad move on WB's part. The role desperately needs recasting. Jack Black is hilarious, but that's the problem. This movie should be a serious thrill-ride, not slapstick comedy. And I can guranatee that petitioning/boycotting won't do jack shit, because 1) the entertainment business pays no attention to fan petitions, 2) the boycott won't be big enough to do any signifcant detriment to whoever goes to see the movie and 3) this movie is going to tank anyway.

I always hated Superman. Like Godfatha said, he was too fucking perfect. Hero's have to have faults as well, and that was something Superman never had. Batman had no powers, but managed to kick all kinds of ass without being utterly ridiculous. That said, my favourite would have to be Spawn. He embodied everything a comic book hero shouldn't be; a vengeful, hate-filled bastard with little regard for the life or feelings of others, and did a damn fine job of it.

That doesn't take much effort Meh, I used to like KoRn circa "Follow the Leader" but their latest efforts haven't done much for me. I'd still check it out though.

To be honest, I didn't even know the draft was this weekend, there's been very little of the usual buz surrounding it. Looking more closely at it, it does look like Ovechkin will probably go first but that seems to be the only certainty as far as placement at this point.

I'm beginning to think I'll do pretty much anything in my power to get this game. My sole gripe is that they should include an 'Indy' group for guys like Togo, Hidaka and Sasuke that I'd like to play as

Strays didn't really strike my fancy, it just didn't compare to some of Jane's older stuff. I don't think they can really function as Jane's Addiction without Perry, mainly because his vocals are what set their sound apart from a lot of others. I could see this taking more of a RATM/Audioslave path, where the three other guys form a new band with a new vocalist.

The screens are pretty ugly compared to other stuff I've seen (namely KOC 2 and Network Pro Wrestling, both for PS2). I hate that this happens every time a new Smackdown game comes out, where everyone gets pumped up about it having new features and wrestlers and all that crap, and none of it comes to fruition. I'd rather play VPW2 on N64, truthfully.

Well, there's this crazy thing going around called appreciating good music. Weird huh? Alright, all joking aside, alexis isn't for everyone. Most people just see it as a bunch of noise, but if you get past it, it's actually really awesome to listen to. Besides that, chances are the only songs you've heard are the ones they play on MuchMusic, so you haven't heard it all. I can't make you like it, but I can ask you to give it a try. Track downa copy of the CD and listen to it all the way through unbiased. Then tell me what you think of it. You might not like it, but I assure you that you won't call it pure crap.

You've got two good songs on there, and one of them you're using "to laugh at". That CD is pretty brutal, there's no other way of looking at it.

Yeah, I had figured. Can't get that many bands in in one day. Fortunately, I've looked into it, and all the bands I want to see (save for Thursday) are playing Detroit, so I'm happy. Even without Thursday, it's still going to kick ass.
