  1. It's not as though he blamed the loss entirely on one call. In my mind, it was questionable, so the criticism is entirely valid. It doesn't take away from the fact that the Leafs were outplayed, but it's still worth raising an eyebrow at. I called your post unnecessary because it wasn't an issue of Team A vs. Team B. The call was questionable, especially when the ref is vacillating on whether or not he wants to make it. I don't know, maybe it's the skeptic in me, but after Colliacavo took an admittedly cheap shot at Spezza a while back, it doesn't seem so far fetched that an Ottawa player might want to straighten him out for it. I couldn't tell you if it was intentional or not, but I don't think you can just brush it off immediately as an accident, all things considered.
  2. I've heard a few tracks from the Hypnotize album and wasn't feeling it at all. The vocals are grating at times and it seems like they're trying to hard to be "trippy" or "outside the box" or whatever. I just didn't enjoy what Idid hear of the album, though I haven't really liked anything from SOAD since Toxicity anyway.
  3. My friend turned me on to this show two weeks ago on Showtime, and I've got to say that it's one of my new favourites. Anybody else seen it?
  4. If that's true, his demeanor in front of a camera is more than likely posturing to try and throw his opponents off. It's like when every single fighter predicts victory before their fight, because they need to be confident going in.
  5. This is in terms of stuff that I never or rarely miss(ed) on TV. 1. The Simpsons 2. Trailer Park Boys 3. Dead Like Me 4. Kids in the Hall 5. Saturday Night Live 6. Family Guy 7. King of the Hill 8. That 70's Show 9. Chappelle's Show 10. Fillmore! Basically, there's not a whole hell of a lot that I'll make a conscious effort not to miss.
  6. http://www.tutorialoutpost.com/count/2150 Found this one a few days back, trying to figure out the same thing. This one makes it pretty clear, as it's really not as complicated as I thought it would be.
  7. Jimmy Fallon hosting? I wonder if he'll manage to get through the night without laughing out of character like he did every week on SNL. I still laugh every time I see him jumping around like a kid with Downs' Syndrome when he introduced the new Guns 'N' Roses a few years back.
  8. When i click to see your image i get a message saying i don't have permission to use this feature ← Thanks for letting me know, I've fixed it (hopefully).
  9. The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again (Keith Moon) I'd say that's more than likely my favourite drumwork on any track, because it's so fluid, but the solos come off as really frenetic and off the cuff at the same time.
  10. Sorry, but any top 100 list with Guns N Roses on it (besides maybe "Biggest Overrated Pieces of Crap"), and in the top 10 no less, completely negates any and all validity the list may have. I daresay that pretty much anything on that list made in the last 5 years (maybe 3 at a stretch) has no business there. The true test of a 'great' album is how it withstands the test of time. So as popular as albums by Coldplay, Radiohead and Outkast are now, you really can't predict how great they'll be remembered as, or if, because of their current popularity, they're able to trump older releases that have withstood a period of time and are still great.
  11. I know there's a sportsbar in town showing this tonight, so if I'm not doing anything else I might have to go check it out. Hughes/Trigg and Couture/Liddell are two fights I'd definitely like to see.
  12. That statement is ridiculous, because the general population is stupid enough to buy/believe/like pretty much anything they're told to. Saying Avril is good because she has fans is like saying DDT wasn't harmful because everyone used it.
  13. I can't say that I'm a fan, partly because the music doesn't appeal to me at all, and partly because she's tragically overexposed here in Canada. By the way she's represented, you'd think Canada is starved for talent, and that she's some kind of shining beacon for Canadian music, neither of which is true. I won't crucify people for liking it, but it's just not my cup of tea and I'll never understand the popularity.
  14. Final Four Britney Spears Jaime Pressley Jennifer Love Hewitt Katie Holmes Winner Katie Holmes I'm a sucker for the teen starlets of my younger years, I must confess.
  15. I don't see why Jackson would off himself, by all appearances, I'd say he's going to get off the hook here and be declared not guilty. Whether he really is guilty or not, who knows? Well, let your old man beat the shit out of you for your entire childhood, face the immense pressure he faced as young as around 10 years old, and then tell me that you won't be "just plain weak" as well.
  16. No, maybe it's because you're holding a grudge and letting it carry over to pretty much every thread you and Drags both post in. Let it die and and quit being an ass by trying to point out his angst. You're really not doing yourself any favours, becasue with each new post it seems that you either annoy, irritate, piss off, ormake enemies with someone new. I guess I'm totally against the grain here, because I like the Used and am underwhelmed with MCR. Still, no one should be trying to cover Queen and Bowie, because they're just going to fall flat on their faces. The fact that it's for a charity of some sort is a bright spot though.
  17. These days I really feeling the Beach Boys (particularly Pet Sounds stuff), Bobby Darin, and anything Neil Young. No clue why, it's just all good stuff.
  18. No worries, I'll move it to Ent.
  19. Please don't snip The Fibonacci Sequence, I've finally figured out how to play the game with some rate of success.
  20. Cheers, Kids in the Hall, and the original Saturday Night Live them by the Saturday Night Live Band.
  21. We watched a little of the show yesterday in one of my classes, and everyone in the room was firmly behind Willard for no apparent reason. And I must say that schoolteacher appeared to be mildly insane.
  22. No Bright Eyes allowed I'll go in on this too. Don't care where.
  23. It had a few funny jokes, but overall I wasn't over the moon for it. I think people were expecting Family GUy with new characters, and that's just not what they're going to be getting with American Dad.
