Troll Hunter If you're lucky enough to have this playing near you, go see it. I live in Chicago, and only one theater here has it. It's a Norwegian comedy/horror/documentary film that's about exactly what it sounds like. It has a fantastic sense of pacing, impressive visuals, an heart-warming level of detail and realism for such an odd subject, and an admirable blend of laughs, scares, and human drama. "TROLL!!!"

They're mostly from one uploader, it seems. Hopefully it continues. As for the new edition of Manos, I wish to hell I had the dispensable income (or just income) to buy it. Or any of the DVD releases. Shout Factory's apparently been doing a bang-up job.

It's fantastic. Biggest thing to keep in mind is that every episode can be drastically different from the one before, and the genre of the show is easily bent. One week may be along the lines of a simple single-camera sitcom revolving around Louie's love life, and the next may be a dramatic remembrance of his struggle with religion. Basically, the episodes are best described as short films that stand alone.

So, remember how I said Google Videos was taking down all user-uploaded videos? Well, two things: 1) They've been kinda slack on that. Some have disappeared, some haven't. 2) I have a suspicion that that move by Google has resulted in awesome YouTube uploads like these! FULL EPISODES in good quality!

I will likely be House's lone defender to the bitter end. I loved the finale. My only concern is how the off-camera news about Cuddy leaving the show will have an effect on next season, particularly the premiere. I think it can be easily and logically done, but until I see what happens I'm just not sure.

James Spader is a fucking god. Also I was happy with The Office finale in general, though I can see how the final moment may have left some wanting more. Parks and Rec was funny as always, but TAMMY NUMBER ONE. That's the meat of the cliffhanger, right there.

It just today occurred to me that I only watched one of Thursday's Parks and Rec episodes (The Fight.) So I watched the road trip episode today. Ron giving the little girl a claymore mine may have been my favorite.
