Ba ha ha. I know what you're referring to, and I wish, but no. I am also not a semi-famous pastor/Christian author, nor a semi-famous street artist.

  2. Basically, it wasn't realistic from the start, so I've never asked that of the show.
  3. DO NOT FALSELY GET MY HOPES UP.
  4. That precedes "And The Warriors From Hell", right? I bet it's tremendous. You know what's sad and I need to rectify? I have never seen The Room, Troll 2, nor Birdemic. I hear Thankskilling is great too.
  5. In the vein of MST3K, there's a lot of laughter-inducing shit-on-film out there, and many of us here on EWB love to watch that shit. Recommend/comment/discuss here! I recently came across a bizarre . . . family film? I think that's what it was meant to be. It's called Meet The Hollowheads. It's a late 80's futuristic gross-out-pseudo-sitcom movie starring John Glover (Daniel Clamp of Gremlins 2), Juliette Lewis, her brother Lightfield (they play siblings, yet have at least one sexually charged scene), some others, and features an appearance by Anne Ramsey (of The Goonies and Throw Momma From the Train.) It was co-written and directed by a guy who has written and directed nothing else, and primarily made his career in makeup effects - and every bit of that shows. Basically, take a movie inspired by that Nickelodeon Gak and Garbage Pail Kids era, combine it with a family story and several metric tons of implied (and sometimes direct) sexual situations, and add some of the best terrible acting you've ever seen. That is this movie.
  6. Hm. I do like Modern Family . . . .
  7. I've not watched Up All Night, but it strikes me as a great cast in a terrible show.
  8. 1. Superintendent Chalmers 2. Hank Scorpio 3. Homer Simpson 4. Lisa Simpson 5. Moe Szyslak 6. Gil Gunderson 7. Frank Grimes 8. Troy McClure 9. Lindsey Naegle 10. Milhouse Van Houten EDIT: Has to get Lisa in there.
  9. Disagreed on The Office. I dug that they immediately showed that there can be conflict between Boss Andy and the rest of the staff. Moreover, something about the whole office kicking into super-serious work mode struck me as hysterical. Plus, the episode ended on a great line: "There's something about an underdog that really inspires the unexceptional." Community was indeed different, and I still enjoyed it. I especially liked the Britta/Chang dynamic with "Hello" being played. I did miss John Goodman though. It looks like we'll have that story throughout the season, but not in every episode. Parks and Rec won the night though, through the combined strength of Ron's story and Ben (J-Shot!) visiting Entertainment 720. I nearly applauded when Ron chugged the corn liquor.
  10. Major credit to CSAMH for going with the original Mr. Cooper theme.
  11. Darkwing Duck is an honorable mention? Hell, the whole Disney Afternoon could basically have its own wing in the Theme Song Hall of Fame.* *KISS will not be allowed in.
  12. Why did they have to screw up a perfectly serviceable wagon story with all that fruity singing?

      Gonna paint your wagon!

      Gonna paint it fine!

      Gonna use an oil-based paint

  13. There's a tragic lack of the 1970's up in here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znrjbo9QRLk It just sets up the premise perfectly and in a very fun way. Hell, even without the show this Quincy Jones song is ridiculously good. But it does fit the show like a second-hand glove. Why no Jeffersons theme? Because the song is apparently fiercely protected on YouTube. So enjoy
  14. More 80's nostalgia! Comedy edition! Not-so-little-known fact: the theme was co-written by Alan Thicke. I have long harbored a dream of leading a TV theme song cover band. This song would be an automatic inclusion in every set list. Plus, a saccharine Jif commercial! I could do 80's comedies all damn day long.
  15. I'm glad someone mentioned The A-Team, but I wish I had gotten to it first. Speaking of 80's action shows . . . I'm probably alone on this one, but I just fucking love hearing Lee Majors sing his own theme song. To me, this song is second only to The A-Team theme in personifying the "Too Much Testosterone" 80's Action Theme genre. And, of course,
  16. Here's a couple of my initial contributions. Let's start with the more obscure stuff. Underrated show, and therefore an all-but-forgotten theme, but it's one of the catchiest damn things I've heard. Trivia: It's called "The Skrewy St. Louis Blues" and is performed by David Cassidy. Another underrated show, and the concept was simple but brilliant: Gary knows he's on a sitcom. That's basically it. The theme song just follows that lead.
  17. Love this thread. I've been thinking about doing an "EWB's ___ Favorite TV Theme Songs" list thread for a while, but perhaps there's no need now.
  18. The 2001 bit was the best thing all night. The Office deserves some major credit too. I felt it did a fantastic job of answering questions and moving things in a new direction in the most interesting way possible. And I cannot get enough Robert California.
