  1. OLLIE GIMME YOUR PSN NAME THE SECOND YOU GET IT WE CAN PLAY GAMES TOGETHER YAYYYYYY
  2. My fault there. I assumed I would have spelled it the proper British way. It's news to me that there's no "o" in it either. Also, I am of the opinion that the dude who wins the penalty/free kicks takes them, even if they're shit. They earned it. Also also, I found some awesome new kits I hadn't seen before. The Saudi Arabia league has some great kits. My new favourites would be, I think, Blackburn Rovers in the FL Championship, Carlisle United in Football League 2, Wycombe in FL2, Dijon FCO and Clermont Foot in Ligue 2, Bordeaux in Ligue 1, Toluca and Tijuana in LIGA Bancomer MX (Mexico), Hajer, Al-Taawoun, and Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.
  3. I haven't really seen many issues with keepers just standing around. I'm nearly an entire season into My Career (got injured for three months :/) and I've scored a few from distance, but never was it because a keeper just stood around and did nothing. Also, if you're that concerned, just bump the CPU goaltender ability up a bit in the sliders.
  4. ornatemustache most certainly exists. :/
  5. I don't know where else to put this, really. And no one will care. But oh well. The PES 2015 demo is out on European PSN (and I assume XBox's Marketplace) and holy god damn does the Fox Engine look good. The player faces and the lighting/shadows is just absolutely amazing. But... well, it plays like PES 2014 (which played like PES 2013 to be honest, and so on) and after playing FIFA 15, the ball physics just do not stack up at all. It just feels so pre-canned. And though the idea behind the skills in PES is similar to FIFA, I just cannot pull that shit off and it doesn't feel natural at all. I eventually end up liking PES for its own reasons, but I don't think I can get into it this year despite the awesome graphics. There's just details in the player faces that are just absolutely mind-blowing, though. It's encouraging for Metal Gear, at least.
  6. I played No Mercy, like, last week. While it's still a fine game, it is dated as fuck now. It's still fun with friends, but it's by no means a great representation of wrestling anymore. And I think some models look fucking fantastic. Wyatt and Triple H especially look incredible, but some dudes, their facial scans just kinda seemed... blurry and shit. I hope/assume that's just Youtube compression, though. And I'm still kinda worried about hair tech. I know that's weird, and like, really, most wrestlers have shitty Triple H hair, but, like, for example, Daniel Bryan's hair kinda looks like ass and Kane and Roman Reigns' hair seemed to clip sometimes. But it was weirdly satisfying/cool to see someone like Xavier Woods and Rusev. I dunno how I feel yet, because of the push. This is coming out the same day as both GTA V and FarCry 4. Spending like, $200 on games in a day is insane, and I don't know what game(s) to wait for yet.
  7. Yeah this sounds about right. It might be best to wait for a review though because I do think the lotr game looks like an amazing story (I will kill all the demons for killing my family!) it could be a bad game and there is one thing I hate worse than needlessly hard games and it's bad ones! With Diablo I would want to play it with Christopher if at all and if I remember right you guys said I couldn't do that? Uh, what? Who said that? You can definitely play local multiplayer. You're just tethered to each other and have to stay on the same screen.
  8. Quick Looks ain't reviews, though. They often supplant reviews. And that, along with podcasts are more than enough coverage, because Giant Bomb knows its audiences. They still do reviews, but they most definitely do not do the amount of reviews that, say, Gamespot, or IGN do. And I'm discussing it because I made a joke that you aren't being ahead of the curve and warning us by buying day one. You're just telling us on time. That's it.
  9. Absolutely, because they realize they don't give a fuck about Final Fantasy and aren't gonna do it any justice one way or the other. And they focus on video content. Basically, Giant Bomb is the only site I go to on the regular. It's wonderful. Joystiq and Gamasutra to a degree, too, but I don't read their reviews all that often because they can feel forced, like many a review.
  10. It's a good "background" game. It's also at its best in multiplayer. It's a rad game to just pass some time and get some loot and fuck around in, but unless you're deliberately making it incredibly hard for yourself, it isn't that hard or demanding. I played quite a bit of it whilst sick over Christmas break last year and really enjoyed it for what it was. I also really enjoyed playing multiplayer. But to be reductive, it's just a really well-designed loot grinding game. And LOTR looks interesting, but who knows if it's gonna actually be good. I'd wait on reviews of it. To be reductive of LOTR: it's Batman combat in LOTR with a maybe hopefully good nemesis system that could also be shallow as fuck and/or broken.
  11. If anything, to be honest, they just kinda don't get reviewed—at least by sites I actually follow and care about.
  12. These are all of the licensed stadiums. The BPL being fully licensed is rad since I'll probably be playing exclusively there in my Career, but damn would I love to see the lower leagues get some love. And the MLS, too. The MLS has some really, really cool stadiums. Argentina La Bombonera - Boca Juniors Canada BC Place Stadium - Vancouver Whitecaps England Anfield - Liverpool FC Boleyn Ground - West Ham United Britannia Stadium - Stoke City Emirates Stadium - Arsenal Etihad Stadium - Manchester City Goodison Park - Everton King Power Stadium - Leicester City Liberty Stadium - Swansea City Loftus Road - Queens Park Rangers Old Trafford - Manchester United Selhurst Park - Crystal Palace St. James' Park - Newcastle United St. Mary's Stadium - Southampton Stadium of Light - Sunderland Stamford Bridge - Chelsea FC The Hawthorns - West Bromwich Albion The KC Stadium - Hull City Turf Moor - Burnley Villa Park - Aston Villa Wembley Stadium - England White Hart Lane - Tottenham Hotspur France Parc des Princes - Paris Saint-Germain Stade Gerland - Olympique Lyonnais Germany Allianz Arena - Bayern München, TSV 1860 München Imtech Arena - Hamburger SV Olympiastadion - Hertha BSC Signal Iduna Park - Borussia Dortmund Veltins-Arena - FC Schalke 04 Italy Juventus Stadium - Juventus San Siro/Stadio Giuseppe Meazza - AC Milan, Inter Stadio Olimpico - Lazio, Roma Mexico Estadio Azteca - Club América, Mexico The Netherlands Amsterdam ArenA - Ajax, The Netherlands Saudi Arabia King Fahd International Stadium - Al Hial, Al Nassr, Al Shabab Spain Camp Nou - FC Barcelona Estadio Vicente Calderon - Atlético de Madrid Mestalla - Valencia Santiago Bernabéu - Real Madrid Ukraine Donbass Arena - Shakhtar Donetsk Generic Stadiums Available in Kick-Off, FIFA Ultimate Team, Career Mode and during skill games.
  13. Well, if you're buying it on day one, you're just letting us know right on time that they're terrible. Reviewers and such are generally letting us know ahead of time that shit like this is terrible.
  14. I would say they're both completely different games and it would depend on what you want out of them. Lord of the Rings looks like a pretty game set in the Lord of the Rings universe with Batman combat (which isn't necessarily bad, but just done before) and an interesting-looking nemesis system. I fucking haaaaaaaaate Lord of the Rings, but I think it looks interesting. Diablo is some Diablo-ass Diablo that can be an awesome multiplayer experience if you want that. It's just a very well-designed, fun, BREAK SOME SHIT AND GET LOOT game. Again, two entirely different games. If you want a multiplayer game, I'd say Diablo. If you want a more demanding and engaging single player game or really love LOTR, I'd see what the general reviewer opinions are on it, then maybe get that instead.
  15. Boooooooooooo. Busy kits are wicked for Pro Clubs because no one uses them. It's all a bunch of obnoxious asshats with Barca/Man U kits. Might as well combat that with some unique, lesser known teams. At the very least, I would also propose cycling through kits every few weeks/every month or so. [/proclubshipster] I'd be all for a lesser known one (my own suggestion was from the K-League), but some of those ARE AMAZING. Fixed. But actually, I'm fine to concede, to a degree. I just don't much like the idea of using another top flight kit—or, at least not at first. I also don't much like the idea of just ONE kit throughout the entire year. I'm down with a colour scheme, but just one kit? Gets boring, no matter how crazy the kit looks. As for my favourites, keeping "busy" in mind, I'd say Jeju United, ADO Den Haang, and Club Léon are my favourite. Tijuana in the Mexican league and 1860 München are both rad, too. 1860 are simple and classy and cool. And I hope they have the Oktoberfest kits in the game, but I wouldn't be too surprised if they didn't. Anddddd Oktoberfest kit:
  16. I would say we narrow it down to, like, five kits or so we seem to generally like and rotate through them until we're done, then find some new ones.

  18. That looks like the FFXIII team really liked GTA and DmC. O___o Like, it is some Final Fantasy ass-shit, and it looks gorgeous, but it just... doesn't look like Final Fantasy to me in its tone. I know each Final Fantasy is its own self-contained thing, but each game in the series has the same kinda tonality to it and very similar themes, to me. This just... huh. It doesn't look bad, just different—but still suuuuuuuupeerr Final Fantasy-ish 'cause it's just goofy as shit with its scope and self-seriousness.
  19. Welp, this teaser trailer is fucked. I really do hope they balance the scares/atmosphere and the tedious, boring "pixel hunt" gameplay in the final release. The teaser at some point just got tedious and boring because .
  20. Well, I do like claiming zebras.
  21. FC Shakhtar and Jeju United are the only right choices. Edit: Scratch that. Ipswich are amazing too.
  22. Boring kits are boring. And holy shit, I love Jeju United and ADO Den Haang.
