  1. Atletico Nacional in Colombia. Porto. Arsenal Tula in Russia. Jeonbuk from the K-League. Club Léon in Mexico. Moreirense from Portugal. Whatever this team is in Mexico. These are my favourite so far.
  2. ornatemoustache. Dat Eastern time zone in Canada. Also, I suggest a ridiculous kit like Porto or Arsenal Tula in Russia. Or Club Léon in Mexico. Ligue 2 always has some of the raddest kits in the game. Same with the K League. Jeonbuk FC is amazing. Moreirense in Portugal is also amazing. And FC Grogingen in Holland. THERE'S SO MANY GOOD KITS OUTSIDE OF THE BIG TEAMS.
  3. I'd be up for the PS4 club, but I am Canadian, sooooooo time zones and such. And I'm shit at the game, 'cause I'm Canadian.
  4. It seems that in general, ratings have gone down, and players are rated a bit more fairly. I think that's rad. For example, Xavi only has, like, 61 shot power, but has amazing passing. Gerrard has 95 shot power, but can't run all that fast just because, well, he hasn't needed to run fast since, like, 2005 or 2006. He's adjusted his game because he's getting up in age. And FIFA reflects that. It goes back to the point about player's playing like they should, to me. And it's good to see ratings reflect that. There's no point in looking at overalls, really. It's more important that player's important stats are correct. For example, Neymar's only an 86, which seems very, very low at first. But you factor in the fact that he's pure offense, and it makes sense, really. All his vital stats are pretty much dead-on, and he plays like he ought to.
  5. OMFG THAT WAS SO COOL. Just finished a game at Rogers Centre, and the announcer was giving advice for transit—and he, like, legit used street names and subway stops in Toronto. That was so fucking incredible. Also, the game got out of hand, and had to be stopped for a minute to deal with a beach ball in left field. The game cut away from me pitching to Joey Bats dealing with the ball. Little details are so god-damned cool.
  6. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, this game is so rad. I am beyond pumped for the full game. Something I think they've really nailed, at least from what I can see, is player likenesses. I don't just mean in appearance, either. I think a lot of players play amazingly like their real-life counterparts, and when you've figured out how to utilize a player's strengths, it feels fucking incredible. I wouldn't expect EVERYONE IN FIFA to be accurate to real-life because that's just asking far too much considering how many players and leagues are in the game, but I think this is a great use of the new-gen's tech to utilize more power to get players to where they ought to be. For example, guys like Neymar and Reus are just absolute wizards with their feet. They're fun to play with and they're just so, so dangerous dribbling the ball. Ibrahimovic is a threat every time he's got the ball, and he uses his size incredibly well. Messi is deceptive as shit and surprisingly strong, and guys like Gerrard and Xavi can just spray the ball all over the pitch with ease. And hot damn, can Gerrard bomb a shot. My favourite player to play with has honestly been Sven Bender on Dortmund. I admittedly don't really know much about him, but in one game, I discovered just how incredible of a long-distance shot he has, and any time I've played with him, he's had multiple amazing long-distances chances/goals in a game. Almost every one of his shots just dips and curves like crazy, and it's insanely fun to shoot the ball with him. It's just really, really cool to feel like once you've got someone figured out, you can utilize them really well. And playing against the AI, especially on World Class, you can really see players' playing styles come into play. It's awesome. Also, dem ball physics, man. They're incredible. They really help to make every shot feel unique, and some of the bounces I've seen off defenders, off keepers, off 50/50 balls has been awesome. It's also opened a subtle, but incredible amount of new-found depth to the passing and shooting that I love. I really feel like when you score a bending/curving shot, it was because of the most subtle little flick of the controller. It feels awesome.
  7. I always enjoy a good baseball game, but my general knowledge on the rules of baseball (both on field and off) is pretty sketchy. Would that take away from my enjoyment of the game do you think? The game itself looks great but I don't want to spend hours working out what the hell is going on with the drafts and salary caps etc etc. I hate baseball in real life, but thoroughly enjoy The Show. It's baseball. It's pretty simple, really (sacrilege, I know). And there's not really anything out of the ordinary when it comes to drafts or salaries in baseball, at least that I know of. But if you really are that concerned, I'd just play Road to the Show, like Srar recommended. It's what I always end up sinking the most time into. And I've personally found used copies of The Show for about $40, which is pretty rad.
  8. I picked up the Legendary Edition from Steam like a week or so before the sale. Maaaaaan, that sucks. I got the Legendary Edition for, like, $13 about a month ago—maybe two.
  9. I WOULD TOTALLY BE UP FOR SOME MULTIPLAYER MARIO KART 8 OH MAN I'D LOSE SO BADLY IT WOULD BE GREAT
  10. You might get to play online heists! Lolonlineheists. ...
  11. $40? What kinda asshole still charges $40 for Skyrim?
  12. The new ball physics are taking some getting used to, but it's some really awesome, subtle stuff. I love it. Also, hooooooooly crap the atmosphere and presentation. I scored with Sterling in the 77th, and Anfield just went absolutely bonkers. It felt great. And it just felt liked the game naturally built to that point. It was rad.
  13. Yeah, if anything, from playing the PC demo, I felt that keepers were a loooooooooooooooooottt better this year. Aside from the much-improved presentation, they felt like the best thing in the game. They're actually a challenge to beat, and they have a lot of great animations.
  14. To be fair, neither has most of Canada.
  15. I didn't know that Football Manager was around in 1950s America.
  16. WELL SHIT I SHOULD PROBABLY PUT STUFF HERE PSN: ornatemustache MiiVerse/WiiU: ornatemustache Steam: pandasarerad
  17. Oh, I know. I just have NOTHING for the PS4 right now aside from Guacamelee. And Ground Zeroes, for, like, $10 seems fine to me. I don't give a fuck about MGS at all. I haven't played one since MGS2 and barely remember it. I just like the idea of fucking around and attaching balloons to random shit. I consider it like a Dead Rising 2: Case Zero type situation, but for MGS. I'd get it for $10-$15, but definitely not $30. But now that you mention it, Infamous will probably go hella on sale during Christmas, so I'll look into it then, I think. And I'm quite busy until about FIFA's release date, so that'll get me over until, like, FarCry. >_> Also, I've been really meaning to play PT, but I made a deal to play it with my friend whom I watch every horror movie ever with. But she's been hella busy/sick lately.
  18. Looooooving Guacamelee. Also, this is a weird question, but what should I do with Infamous? I've read enough reviews to put me off paying full or even full-ish (like $45) price for Second Son. It looks beautiful and I've heard the gameplay in the story is solid, but it just kinda wears thin, the side stuff sucks, and it's pretty short. And I've also seen that First Light, the standalone thing, really, really has some shitty characterization. So I'm kinda torn, because I'd love to play some Infamous, but the full game just doesn't seem worth it, and First Light seems like more of the same, just shorter. That sounds good, but the characterization of the main character, even if I don't hafta be attached puts me off. So I'm leaning towards First Light, but I'm not exactly sold on it. I also may or may not get Ground Zeroes if I can find it for like $15-$20 (with a trade-in, so a bit less) because even though it's only an hour or two, it looks really dumb and fun. Anyone fuck around with it?
  19. So, I don't really LIKE football in the least bit or get it, but I enjoyed Madden 2005 and from what I've seen of Madden 15, it's done quite a bit of good for the series. I have no intention of playing online, but I like the idea of Connected Franchise and I like that it seems to have tutorials to teach people a bit about football. Sooooooooooooooooooo, might this be worth it, say, for a reduced price around Christmas? Again, I don't like football, but if the tutorial mode will teach me a bit to get into the game and have a kinda okay grasp of the minutia of football, that'd be rad.
  20. So just... don't get it tomorrow. If you're really adamant about getting it, wait until the patches come out in October. I guarantee you can grab a used copy for, like, $40. And though it still won't be half as feature-complete as it should be, it'll be much better post-patch. The lack of timeline for Edit Player/no sim a shift in BAP being patched in is MIND-BLOWING. And I love how the post about patches has actually, in fact, revealed MORE missing features like no 3 Star Selections.
  21. Also, double post, but whatever. I'm considering a racing wheel in the near-ish future. I don't plan on playing competitively online, but I don't feel like ruining my thumbs with analog sticks. I just wanna make driving games more immersive/fun. So, any mid-ish level racing wheels that are PS4/PC compatible that people can recommend?
  22. I am always partial to The Randy Savages/Randy Savage FC. But that's just me. Also, I would totally be cool with being on the PS4 club if y'all would have me, butttttt the time difference between the UK and Canada is kind of a bitch.
  23. Yeah. I would pay $35 or so for this post-patch(es), even with all the horrible omissions because the gameplay and presentation are still solid, but I most definitely am not buying this for full-price without seeing the results of multiple patches. And yeah, the NHL team is kinda notorious for not patching shit. I can't remember what year it was (it may have even been NHL 14), but there was some pretty God-awful exploits in EASHL that just legit never got patched despite the development team knowing the exploits existed. I have faith that eventually, say, OTP will be patched in considering they promised to do so, but I'm not gonna hold my breath for stuff like simming shifts to be patched this year. It should be/hopefully will be, but I won't be overly-surprised if it isn't.
