  1. Notre Dame, if their hand is forced, are thinking ACC, definitely not Big-12. I've heard and read that from more than a few sources. Obviously, they won't leave Independence unless absolutely necessary. And I wonder how many more schools have to leave the Big East for the BCS to revoke their auto-bid. You'd think it'd be here soon. Is Pitt and Syracuse out after this year? Or the year after?
  2. I don't think Montero is going anywhere. I agree A-Rod will more than likely move to DH, if not this upcoming year than definitely after that. But they'll have Montero starting behind the plate before getting rid of his bat.
  3. Yeah, I was using "dominated" more in a broad sense of "Texas and OU have ten conference titles in fourteen years" than a breakdown of each individual championship game.
  4. "You did. His name was Stampy. You loved him very much." I'm sitting here laughing just thinking about it. I can't say much that hasn't already been said. I haven't watched it in years, but this WAS my childhood. One of my earliest music video memories was the Bartman. It was easily my favorite show growing up, and I still quote it several times throughout the day, everyday. Whether it be "Look in the tunk" or "What's a gym?" or "La grille? What the hell is that?!" I always find something in my daily life that allows me to quote this brilliant show. An end was inevitable, though it sucks it's going to end like this.
  5. Your numbers are mixed up. The South has beaten the North 10 out of 14 times. Texas and Oklahoma have pretty much dominated the Big-12 championship over the years.
  6. The show is older than I am. American Idol is older than you.
  7. The North is insanely weak compared to the South. The third best team in the South will consistently be ranked higher than the top team in the North. Anyone see Gary Patterson have a tissy-fit over what June Jones said last week? Jones said that TCU "doesn't change. They do what they do, because that's what good teams do." Meaning that TCU is good enough that they don't have to alter their plans against different opponents. Patterson took it to mean they were predictable and had a cow.
  8. Now I'm in my "Anyone But Philly" mode.
  9. I need to stop coming into this damn thread. After I bought 11, I decided I was just going to get this every other year. It's becoming more difficult. :/
  10. A-Rod didn't do dick, but neither did the rest of our line-up. Aside from Game Four's onslaught, the Tigers pitching made the Yanks their bitches.
  11. And I even posted that when Cano was at bat.
  12. Bah. We had a good year. After the way Texas went through Tampa, I think we would have fallen to them in the ALCS, anyway. So at least this way saves me from stressing out for another week or two. I predicted A-Rod to strike out to end it back in the sixth inning.
  13. I would say two innings for CC and two for Robertson, but who the fuck knows the way he's pulling 'em tonight.
  14. Think he pulled Nova too soon. Just Joe is looking rather desperate with all these changes. I know it's an elimination game, but geez.
  15. My first memory of Ventura is not getting pummeled by Ryan, but his ankle breaking, with his foot facing the opposite direction. That still gives me the heebey jeebeys when I see it.
  16. http://espn.go.com/dallas/ncf/story/_/id/7066994/sources-tcu-horned-frogs-meeting-discuss-big-12-invite So, looks like TCU is Big-12 bound. Them going to the Big East never made sense to me, but I'd imagine that was the only BCS conference going after them at the time. Hearing rumblings that Louisville, Cincy, and West Virginia are all looking to get out of the Big East, as well. If that's the case, they'll be done for football. No way they'd keep their BCS invite, and with that, any reason for other teams to join.
  17. Really enjoying the Wednesday line-up of Suburgatory, Modern Family, and Happy Endings.
  18. I, on the other hand, am stressing. I hate that I get this way about sports. Nova has done so well for us all season, I can't but feel this may be the night where he blows it. I'm trying to be positive, but I'm just really not feeling it. At least they're home. If the Yanks get ahead early, they should be alright.
  19. Back-to-back jacks kick things off for Arizona, one of them being a grand slam.
  20. I'm not going to celebrate an Eagle downfall until the season is over. Everytime I think Philadelphia is down in whatever sport, I open my mouth too soon and they make me look a-fool. So this year, I'm just going to smile, nod, and stand by my prediction of them going 11-5.

    WWE '12

    Respect your elders, youngin'.
  22. Glad the Yanks remembered how to score runs. Hope they didn't use up their quota for the series, though.
  23. There is no circle jerk. Any Yankee fan is going to comment on their biggest rival having one of the biggest collapses in the game, though. Kind of comes with the territory of the rivalry.
  24. Quite a pitcher's duel going on in St. Louis. And Lowerdeck. You'd more than likely be laying it on thicker if the shoe were on the other foot.
