  1. Anyone been watching the Ravens/Bengals game? I forgot about it for the first hour...
  2. The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack?
  3. I might be wearing a "Yo Gabba Gabba" teeshirt right now... I also enjoy The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Chowder, and I'll sit down and watch some Disney channel with my little sister.
  4. The problem that I have with Robot Chicken is that I watch a lot of Adult Swim. When I'm on late at night, I'll have Cartoon Network on and when I'm not talking to people I'll watch it. Now, Robot Chicken is on every night but Saturday, if I remember correctly. The show has only had a couple of seasons, definitely not enough for daily showings. Because of this, it gets old quickly.
  5. I've had "Time Warp" stuck in my head since, well, the time warp. Good times, breaking out in that at work...
  6. Shit. I'm seeing them in September, and I was hoping they wouldn't play so much new stuff. I need my Frances the Mute fix.
  7. ...who lived with Courtney Love of Hole...
  8. Thanks a lot, I plan on getting a new one, just to be safe. But first, I need to make the switch from dial-up to broadband so I can use Live.
  9. I have an update made by Steriogramidiot from the forums. If I can't find it there, I'll upload it if anyone is interested. Hell, I could just upload it anyway, since I cleaned it up a bit(ie I fixed most the errors such as some venues having duplicates).
  10. So, I'm looking into getting a 360. Someone explain to me why I should shill out $300 for a new Pro when I could get a used regular 360 for $180(these prices are going by the Gamestop website, which doesn't include a used 360 Pro). Also, while I have your attention, are all XBox games compatible with the 360?
  11. I disagree with MDK, I prefer "Personal Journals" by Sage Francis, but both are good albums. As for my recommendation, I'm going to go with Regina Spektor. I recently got her "Soviet Kitsch" album, and have been playing it a lot. A lot. For songs to check out before getting the album, I'd go with "Ghost of Corporate Future" and "Chemo Limo." Warning, if you don't like piano, you won't like this. But who could ever hate piano? She recently got some playtime on MTV for her song "Fidelity"(not on "Soviet Kitsch"), and she's classified as anti-folk and alternative pop.
  12. My favorite "punk" song would probably be "Pumpkin Time" by The World/Inferno Friendship Society. It's half ska-punk, half gospel, all about the Great Pumpkin from The Peanuts. As for the bands talked about in this thread, I've never heard of DI. I have three NOFX albums but I only play one regularly(Punk in Drublic). Rancid's "And Out Come the Wolves" is a pretty good CD, and it brings me nostalgic joy every time I hear "Maxwell Murder" because I loved Dave Mirra's videogame when I was younger, and that song was used in one of the first levels. Pennywise's "Bro Hymn" is a great song, but that's about all I know from them besides "Fuck Authority" which is sort of fun to sing along to. I've always meant to check out the Misfits, and I've never heard of any of the bands in Gabriel's post, but I plan on soon enough, especially The Serpenteens, as I love foreign bands. An example of that would be my love for the songs I have from Fokofpolisiekar, a South African punk band that sings in Afrikaans. Edit: After checking it out, it looks like the Serpenteens are actually from New York City, not South America.
  13. Comedy/tv shows, always. I love them, they're great. But for stuff like thrillers and dramas, it's more hit or miss. I will say this, I absolutely love the Evil Dead II commentary, since it's basically the guys making fun of the whole movie. For example, they point out exactly when you can see the high school gym that they shot the cabin scenes in. Also, I think it's important that the people giving the commentary actually enjoy being around each other, or most of them do. An example of this is Clerk II(the only View Askew movie I have on DVD), where the guys genuinely like each other, and it makes it much funnier as they have more to talk about.
  14. I've had "A Mili" stuck in my head, on and off, since I first heard it a month or two ago. I'm willing to check out some of his stuff, and now I'll probably check out what DeeJam said, but it will most likely be a while.
  15. I own an electric guitar, but I suck. I've only been playing for less than a year, but that's no excuse for how much I suck. I used to play the drums, first in school, then on a shitty little set that I picked up for $25 on the side of the road, but I ended up quitting that after the set basically fell apart(the low tom and snare only stood up some of the time, all of the drumheads were about to break, and the damn thing didn't even have basic cymbals). I did get to record one song, though, so that's pretty cool. I recorded a cover version of the Violent Femme's "Blister in the Sun" with two other guys. I sang and played rhythm guitar. I should mention that we had to record something, it was for guitar class, but it was still pretty cool nonetheless. Now, if only the other two guys would've agreed to actually write an original song...
  16. Alright, but it had better have another Andrew Jackson Jihad song that I don't already have.
  17. Damn, I never got around to downloading the fishy playlist... YI?
  18. I've been a rap mood all night, so I'm listen to Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquors. Really feeling "Hurt Me Soul" and "Daydreamin.'" I had been feeling the latter in the AT&T commercials, but didn't realize where it was from until tonight.
  19. Judging by my one friend's reaction, he doesn't think I seem like the type of person to sing along to a hip hop song, much less Eminem. And, judging by my other friend's action, she doesn't like being told to "TOUCH MY BODY~!" As for my personal opinion, I've been listening to the song "Show Me Love" by t.a.t.u. lately. I bought an iPod off this guy, and it was on there; ended up being on of the few songs that I kept from his music. It'll probably be buried in iTunes to make room for more of my stuff soon though, fucking one gigabyte...
  20. I'm going to go stew in the corner for a while... Also, grumblegrumble.
  21. Motion sensors? "Throw the DS as if you were throwing a rock! Then, replace DS if you want to keep playing!"
  22. So, how 'bout those Orioles? Seriously, I don't pay attention to baseball, except for when I plan on going. And when the team gets about 8,000 fans. That was cool too.
  23. Figured I'd ask this here instead of making a new thread: Anyone seen REM live? Modest Mouse are supporting them, might end up going for that. Now I'm trying to decide if I'm going to stick around for the main act. Not a big fan of REM, but some of their singles are good. End of the World, etc. The National are playing too, but I can't say I've ever heard of them, and my computer doesn't have a soundcard so I can't just listen to them online. So yeah, are REM any good live?
  24. Fokofpolisiekar. It's a South African punk band. They sing in Afrikaans, but it's close enough to English. Honestly, if you can't figure out what their names means, you fail.
