  1. I don't know if I'd call it metal. I'd say its a mix of metalcore and straight-up RAWK. I'm pretty low on money right now, which is unfortunate because just about every album I've been waiting for has come out this month. I bought the new Horse The Band and the new HIM and still have to get the new albums from Himsa, Between The Buried and Me, ETID and a few others. So it might be a while until I get around to hearing it.
  2. Oh god, I only saw the first 3 seconds before shutting it off. It reminds me of Jay doing the Buffalo Bill dance in Clerks 2. But I did finally catch the performance on YouTube.. I'm convinced she was literally sleepwalking or so drunk/high that she thought she was underwater. Her body is looking alright but not alright enough to walk around in public in her underwear.
  3. ... holy shit. That may be the most pathetic thing I have ever seen.
  4. If Indiana Jones fights the Cysquatch, I'll shit my pants and call it the best movie ever.
  5. Some news sites are saying that Britney broke down after her performance because even she knew how badly she sucked. Wow. Must've been bad. Did Mastodon appear with the Foo Fighters like I heard they were supposed to?
  6. I think the only song I've ever been truly creeped out by was "Daddy" by Korn. Hearing that for the first time in my early teen years with headphones was damn uncomfortable and I still refuse to listen to it. Also, around the same time period, just about Manson's entire "Smells Like Children" album creeped me out as well but I've since come to terms with it.
  7. Horse The Band > Band of Horses
  8. You need to listen to more Sigh, seriously. "Gallows Gallery" is one of the most innovative metal albums of the 21st century, and their other stuff isn't much further behind. How you can arrive at 7/10 for such an excellent band is beyond my comprehension - they are the most accessible "black metal" act out there. This is correct, except it should say Imaginary Sonicscape instead of Gallows Gallery. >_>
  9. The only horror movies that get any sort of reaction out of me are from the 70's, particularly Italian gore. For that, I'd suggest some Lucio Fulci films, particularly Zombi 2.

    The Used

I've always written The Used off as standard emo-pop-rock after their first few albums but after listening to the Transformers soundtrack, I've grown pretty fond of "Pretty Handsome Awkward" as well. By the way, I was reading Revolver magazine a few months ago where Bert was talking about his favorite tracks from the new album and talked about a track with a melody influenced by Mike Tyson's Punch-Out. Since I don't have that issue on me right now, anyone mind helping me out and telling me what the track is called?
  11. David Schwimmer directed The Godfather.
  12. I caught his Comedy Central special and thought it was pretty good, though I'm hesitant of picking up his CD because I'm not sure how his comedy would translate audio-only.
  13. I thought the whole package was pretty interesting and I would go just to see two of my favorite bands, MSI and HIM. Plus, though I'm not a huge fan, I would go see the likes of Linkin Park and MCR to fill things out.
  14. The only movie I can think of that I liked the first time and didn't like as much every other time was Bubba Ho-Tep. The first time, I thought it was great. The second time, I thought there was so much more they could've done with Elvis and Black JFK in a nursing home fighting a cowboy mummy that sucks souls out of people's anuses (anii?). And yes, I do realize its an adaptation from a story and they probably wanted to remain as faithful as possible to it but I was just kinda bored with it the second go-round.
  15. Carlos Mencia is the half-Polish Mo'Nique.
