  1. Yeah, IGN has today listed as the release date as well but I didn't see it at Gamestop either.
  2. Hinder + car crash = happy Ryno
  3. I have it for Wii & PS2, and I definately like the Wii controller better. If the controller's the issue, though, and you want a new one, buy it at Wal-Mart because it comes with the red guitar from GH2.
  4. Really, it's hard to narrow down pop rock anymore. Either everyone sounds like Nickelback or Fall Out Boy nowadays.
  5. Really, I can't hardly remember 2007 metal aside from the past few months. But it seems like releases from a bunch of my favorite bands seemed to drop all at once. The new HIM album, despite it not being TROO metal, is pretty class. Horse The Band's new one is great if you're into that sort of thing, though they might have gone a bit "artsy" at times. Himsa's new album is straight up awesome. And I'm probably going to pick up the new Dillinger Escape Plan album tomorrow, so there's a surefire late entry into my Best Of list. Oh yeah, muthafuckin' Dethklok.
  6. 1 - Patton Oswalt 2 - David Cross 3 - Mitch Hedberg 4 - Brian Posehn 5 - Dave Chappelle 6 - Jim Gaffigan 7 - Dane Cook 8 - Dave Attell 9 - Gabriel Iglesias 10 - Lewis Black Yeah, I know I'm missing some pretty big names like George Carlin (who I've never been a huge fan of, sorry), Richard Pryor or Eddie Murphy (both of which I enjoy) but there's some different names I want to get on the list. Seriously, if you're not listening to any Patton Oswalt, something is wrong with you.
  7. Anyone here have the PS2 version and can vouch for the quality of the guitar? Because I just read IGN's review and they said that the PS2 wireless guitar is so bad, you might as well either get a different wireless or just use the old controller.
  8. I've only listened to a handful of songs from them but their video for "True Faith" has been my favorite ever since I was a little kid.
  9. Bushmeister's entry made me think of this, Mayhem's "Grand Declaration of War". Also, I was going to post the cover to the Cannibal Corpse EP "Worm Infested"...but I just ate. EDIT - Another favorite I just remembered was Glassjaw's "Worship And Tribute". Technically, there wasn't even a cover as the slip where the CD cover/booklet went was nothing but a clear piece of plastic with just the record player's needle and bar that holds the record in place. The actual CD was made to look like a record and the tray and back of the case were made to look like the record player's base. Pretty cool if you ask me, but that meant you had to go online for lyrics and credits and such.

    Beowulf

I want to like it, I really do, but whenever I see the ads on TV, I can't help but thinking that Beowulf is the fucked up flipper baby of 300 and Shrek.
  11. I tried out GH3 at Best Buy today and I can't tell if I'm out of practice or they made the game harder. After clearing a song on Easy I can't remember, I biffed Knights of Cydonia at 65%. So I went to Raining Blood on Easy and had more trouble than I thought I would.
  12. I just broke out GH2 to get myself psyched up for GH3 (once I get my next paycheck). Ah carpal tunnel, how I missed thee.
  13. I remember hearing about The Dillinger Escape Plan doing a Justin Timberlake cover but damn it if I can't remember which song.
  14. I don't think I ever got past the first level in Manhunt. However, I have it for the PC and I can hardly get anywhere in a game where I can't use a control pad.
  15. I broke out my Dreamcast (and N64) from storage at my parents' house and brought it up to our apartment. I think one of my roommates has been playing it more than I have due to him having had one and being addicted to it. He even went on EBay and bought Jedi Power Battles, a platformer with the Episode 1 Jedi. But other than that, I have Fire Pro D, Crazy Taxi 1 and 2, Shenmue 1 and 2, Tony Hawk 1 and 2, Capcom vs SNK 1 and 2, Dave Mirra BMX, UFC, Soul Calibur, Jet Grind Radio, Maken X, Sword of the Beserk, Smash Pack 1, Nightmare Creatures 2 and ECW Hardcore Revolution. I loved Jet Grind Radio so much but never finished it. I almost went out and bought an XBox years later for the sole reason of it being packaged with Jet Set Radio Future.

    HIM

Here's my rankings of the albums: 1) Razorblade Romance - It's almost like a "Best Of" album in the sense that its filled with most of their best and well-known songs. 2) Venus Doom - Awesome album all around. I'd put it in my "Best Of 2007" list too. If this doesn't get them more stateside fame without the aid of Bam, I don't know what will. 3) Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights - Their best "slow" album. I didn't like it a whole lot at first until I really listened to it. 4) Dark Light - Not a whole lot in the way of new sound but the songs are solid. By the way, download "The Cage" if you can. It's the bonus track on the special edition and it's my favorite song on the entire album which confuses me as to why they would leave it off the original. 5) Love Metal - I was disappointed in it, to be honest. Their rock songs were kinda half-assed and their emotive songs fell short of Deep Shadows or even Dark Light. 6) Greatest Lovesongs Vol. 666 - Only worth it if you're a completist like me. Songs like "Wicked Game" or "Your Sweet Six Six Six" were done better on Razorblade Romance but its kinda fun to see what they sounded like before finetuning. Again, if you're a big HIM fan, check out the recently released Uneasy Listening discs. Volume 1 is full of live stuff, demos and remixes of their slower songs while Volume 2 is the same done with their rock songs. If I had to pick one, I'd definitely pick Volume 2 as it has the demo version of Buried Alive By Love from CKY4 that I wish was on Love Metal. Plus, Ville Valo sounds a little too much like Tiny Tim on some of the tracks from Volume 1.
  18. I know I'm way behind on the times but I just picked up The Movies for $10 at Gamestop today. I'm doing fine so far. In an odd note, after seeing a picture of a toilet as one of the studio logos, I named my studio Toilet Rice Studios. And in one of the reviews, I was credited for having the cleanest lavatories. Imagine that.
