Does anyone know if the wireless GH3 controllers are gonna be backwards compatible with the older games? I don't see why they wouldn't be but you never know. Also, that GH3 lineup is starting to give me a boner. I'm hoping they go the GH2 route and get some more underground-yet-more-known songs for the bonus lineup like they did with Shadows Fall, All That Remains and such.

Dammit dammit, basically all us PS2 owners just get is Phantasy Star (which my friends will be pumped about but not so much me), Sega Classics 2 and the standard Olympics tie-in. I'm gonna have to consider getting a 360 just for Jet Set and Shenmue 3. Reminds me of the days when I was seriously considering buying an XBox for the sole reason that it was bundled with Jet Set Radio Future. By the way, when did they decide that Shenmue was going to be an XBox exclusive franchise? Also, any word when Yakuza 2 is supposed to come out in the states? I was really interested in getting Yakuza when it came out but when I heard that the sequel was already out in Japan, I held off hoping for a $20 price tag for the first one.

The Venom spin-off makes sense as the only people who really want to do Spider-Man 4 is the studio.

This news has gotten me back to playing FPW2 on GBA and reminded me how absurd you could get with the matches. Last night, I played a four-man battle royale as Chuck Norris against Ken Shamrock, The Ultimate Warrior and The Great Sasuke and won by last eliminating Sasuke by rolling him under the bottom rope on accident. Also, I played a Dusty Rhodes vs Sting matchup but I turned Managers On so apparently, that means a random guy comes out and helps you for about a minute without being disqualified. For some reason, my manager was Atsushi Onita while Sting's manager was Sabu.

I'm not big on mashups but I freakin' love remixes. There's a 2-CD set by a guy named Tommie Sunshine who does a whole bunch of remixes for Fall Out Boy, Panic At The Disco and such. I don't even like those bands all that much but he makes them listenable.

Didn't the whole zombie thing start with black people in the Caribbean and Jamaican areas? Why aren't they proud of that?

I never used to watch Scrubs because I always thought it was a vanity project for Zach Braff. It seemed like every commercial I saw, it was practically advertising "See which hot famous chick Zach Braff is going to make out with tonight!!" But my friend has gotten me hooked on them. Best of all, he's been getting the DVD sets and my roommates and I have been watching them more than him, to the point where he gets pissed off because he doesn't want anything spoiled. I think I was more impressed with Downey's portrayal of Tony Stark than Iron Man itself. But I'm kinda afraid that they'll overkill it and then hardly show Iron Man at all (ie not having more than two Transformers until at least halfway through the movie). By the way, was I the only one that was reminded of The Rocketeer when Iron Man flew through the sky?

I don't dislike The Beatles but they seemed kinda overrated to me. Not because of their musical influence, which has stretched multiple genres, but the fact that people saw them as a threat to decency. How big of a pussy was the world back then to think that The Beatles were such bad guys? "Oh my god, their hair is slightly longer than ours and they're singing about love. Won't someone please think about the children?"

Just about mainstream anything I don't like. Mainstream country and hip-hop are the worst. Though I've never been a fan of country, to me, country music died with Johnny Cash. People like Toby Keith and Big & Rich are pissing on his grave. Mainstream hip-hop/rap is atrocious too though I do know that there's a lot of decent underground hip-hop if you just look. Most pop, by definition, is automatically shit...with maybe the exception of Justin Timberlake. Mainstream rock right now is...alright. I actually like My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy and Panic At The Disco are tolerable in small doses (though you still can't convince me that they're not the exact same band). But I think their fans give them a bad name. If I was in a band and I had whiny, self-important fans like that, I'd ask for new fans. And "mainstream indie" sucks, just for the oxymoroniness of it all. If you're on a major label, guess what, you're not indie!

For the first half of the trailer, I thought the lead was Cary Elwes. Either way, that movie has the potential to be either horribly awesome or awesomely horrible.

Are you serious? I loved Destroy The Opposition and their previous album (which I need to torrent as I can't find shit for copies around here) but have held off on buying their last album. Same goes for Misery Index, though. Please tell me that Misery Index are still alright.
