  1. Apparently its also in Diesel's contracts that Dom can't ever lose a fight. That's why Dom is frickin' unbeatable and escapes in situations where he should either get his ass kicked or die. Nothing shows that more than the street fight with Deckard Shaw. Shaw is a martial artist who should have fucked him up quick. Momoa is great, but in a couple of scenes, he might as well have been playing The Joker.
  2. Completely agree. Of the Reeve movies, Superman II is the one I've watched the most, and I've only watched the Donner cut once. Have two things I do not like about the film, though:
  3. WHY?!?! Worst companion the Doctor has ever had......
  4. His version of the Skye Boat Song is also the drizzling shits. Tarja's version of Alice Cooper's Poison is also awful.
  5. I have several NASCAR drivers autographs from the 80s and 90s, including Richard Petty. Kyle Petty's is on a Racing Champions die-cast Mello Yello car, which is the one Tom Cruise's character drove in "Days of Thunder" with a different #. I also have quite a bit of Racing Champions die-cast cars, including a Dale Earnhardt one that is worth quite a bit of money if I ever choose to sell it. And I also have a few items commemorating Mark McGwire breaking Roger Maris' single season home run record, but I hid that crap away a long time ago.
  6. I'd rather they adopt the CFL's "Get the ball out of the end zone, or its worth 1 point to the other team" rule.
  7. Not gonna lie. I was out earlier doing Doordash and about to stop for gas when I heard about this on the radio. I almost cried. There have only been a handful of celebrity deaths I have cried over. The station played Private Dancer shortly after making the announcement. (Surprised, because when they play anything by her, its What's Love Got To Do With It 95% of the time, We Don't Need Another Hero the other 5%.) Heidi wonders if she had cancer, since she lived in Switzerland, and one thing they're known for (besides neutrality, knives, watches, clocks, chocolate and cheese) is their cancer treatment centers.

And Ian Hunter's band Mott The Hoople covered The Velvet Underground: Mott The Hoople is Def Leppard lead singer Joe Elliot's favorite band, but I can only name two of their songs: All The Young Dudes, and All The Way From Memphis. I'm more of a fan of Hunter's solo work.
  9. Just got back from Fast X. If you've seen the other movies, you pretty much already know what to expect. It does have a mid-credits cutscene that fans will love. Other than that, I'm not posting any spoilers, except one criticism:
  10. Karl Urban wants to play Johnny Cage in the sequel, apparently.
  11. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, via Paramount +. I thought it was the best D&D movie so far, and was extremely happy that it used the Forgotten Realms setting. But, I'll mention a few disappointments: Ed Greenwood did a video on his Youtube channel regarding some things the movie got wrong, but as he says in the video, most are minor nitpicks: For those of you who are unaware, Ed Greenwood is THE expert on Forgotten Realms, because he CREATED the Forgotten Realms. Basically, he is Elminster.
  12. The Masked Singer season 9 finale aired last night, and the commercials promoted it as "The most celebrated Masked Singer finale". I think someone from Fox News is writing the commercials, because they should have said "reviled" instead of "celebrated". Online reactions have not been good. More people mad at who won than those who are happy.
  13. I know its not canon...though Night of The Doctor sort of made Eight's (at that point) canon.
  14. My bad. I meant one of them, not two. The funny thing is, Big Finish already did an audio adaptation of it, with Tom Baker.
  15. Looks like one of the three specials are based on old Tom Baker era comic story......?
  16. As long as its not one of my two favorite teams (Lakers, Mavs), I don't care where he ends up.
  17. Suspend him for at least half of next season.
  18. Don Denkinger, the referee who infamously ruined the 1985 World Series with one of the most notorious blown calls ever, has passed away at the age of 86. Cardinals fans may think differently, but I always felt sorry for him because of this.
  19. I haven't gone on Facebook yet to see how the sore loser Warriors fans are reacting to the Lakers advancing. But you can bet it'll be more bs whining about flopping and referee bias.
  20. Either way, I want whoever wins that matchup to win it all. The Sixers are the only Philadelphia sports team I can actually stand, but I don't want Rivers anywhere near another championship. He's probably already Hall of Fame bound, and will be the least deserving person inducted.
  21. My stepson Riley, who watches the NBA far more than I do, believes the Lakers will lose to the Nuggets. I'm not so sure, but I hope the Celtics beat the Sixers to advance. Fuck Doc Rivers.
  22. Fields. The problem is thinking he'll be contending for MVP. MVPs don't come from teams with losing records.
  23. Not sure about other shows yet, but Call Me Kat, East New York, True Lies, Kung Fu, Walker: Independence, The Winchesters, Yellowstone and Fantasy Island have been cancelled. (The ones in bold are the shows I watched.) CBS did cancel S.W.A.T., but backlash caused them to un-cancel it for a final season. 911 was cancelled by FOX, but picked up by ABC. I'm expecting Alaska Daily and The Company You Keep to get the ax, but hope I'm wrong. Gotham Knights needs to go bye-bye.
