  1. Well, I hope you make a nice sum when the Seahawks beat the Giants. #AnyoneButHue
  2. I have Cousins as my backup on the fantasy team he's on. I actually considered starting him today, and am most definitely glad that I did not. I am also glad that I did start Lamar Jackson on the fantasy team I have him on. The haters who say he's a has-been are so full of shit.
  3. RIP, Tim Wakefield. Just saw it posted by the Red Sox on Facebook.
  4. @Gabriel @Busch Wyatt https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/buck-showalter-fired-five-candidates-for-mets-manager-including-craig-counsell-reuniting-with-david-stearns/ - Which one of these would you most AND least want, if it is one of them?
  5. Scream!, Helena, and Dig Up Her Bones are my 3 of my top 5 favorite Misfits songs that aren't instrumentals or covers. And I prefer a couple of Halloween covers over their version. So I somewhat agree. Danzig is much better with his own band. Any thoughts on Wednesday 13, and his various projects/bands?
  6. Ours are Hair Nation, Classic Rewind, 80's on 8, Pop2k, Pop Rocks, Rockbar, and The 10's Spot. But I'm thinking of dropping Rockbar (rarely listen to it), and *maybe* adding Octane. No Country, because Heidi does all the driving and can't stand Country music, or I'd have Y2Kountry and Red White and Booze on there. She's also why Ozzy's Boneyard isn't on there. As for artist stations, they need a Def Leppard one. Heidi said that, and I'm a bigger Def Leppard fan than she is. (Her favorite band is ACDC) My stepson and future daughter-in-law occasionally use the car, so we have Tiktok Radio and Pandora Now on there for them. They're hip-hop fans, but don't like the Hip Hop Nation channel, for some reason. I do listen to Pandora Now from time to time. The Chris Gaines album is very underrated. And he's apparently mulling over doing another one. Garth also does some damn good rock covers (Life In The Fast Lane, Hard Luck Woman - with KISS in full makeup backing him up when he did it on THE TONIGHT SHOW back in the day!), and the Sevens album is one of my favorite country albums. Strongly disagree about Billy Joel and Johnny Cash, though. Glass Houses is Joel's second best album, after An Innocent Man.
  7. Two of my all-time favorite pitchers were (fuck both of them) Clemens * and Schilling, and one turned out to be a cheater, while the other is a discrace to humanity. What's even worse? The player he outed as having cancer (who I won't name out of respect) is also one of my all-time favorites. *Hated Clemens as a Yankee.
  8. I cannot wait until Angel Hernandez retires, because if they haven't fired the incompetent fool yet, they're not gonna.
  9. I have Jordan Love and AJ Dillon on one of my 5 fantasy teams. Thankfully they're both backups, but I'm already considering dumping Love. Unfortunately, GB is my starting defense this week..... Fortunately, I have Amon-Ra St, Brown starting on one of my other teams, and he's looking to surpass projections.
  10. Listened to an 8th Doctor Big Finish called Horror Of Glam Rock (nothing to do with the 4th Doctor serial Horror Of Fang Rock), and didn't realize until almost halfway through that one of the actors was Bernard Cribbins.
  11. I'll see that, and raise you a I concur, but only because I watch court shows. Judge Judy (now Judy Justice *) would probably side with her, but others would have a field day with this, when the guy in the song sues her in court. Carving her name into hs leather seats = smoking gun. *The Judy Justice show is better than the Judge Judy was. Byrd is now on Tribunal Justice, where one of the judges is Judy's son. I probably have more covers of that song (and two or three versions by Kate Bush) than any other. The Placebo version is not among those, as I do not care for it.
  12. He's done a handful of good ones, but most have been good due to other cast members. Ben-Hur (he won an Academy Award!) The Greatest Show On Earth Major Dundee The Omega Man (I actually have an idea, if someone is willing to do it: Go watch The Last Man On Earth, The Omega Man, and I Am Legend, and report back what you think after each movie, then what you thought of all 3 overall once done. They're all based on Richard Matheson's I Am Legend. No major spoilers, but the movie I Am Legend has a somewhat important change from the book.)
  13. The season premiere of Dancing With The Stars was last night, and in a touching tribute, they've renamed the trophy after Len Goodman. It has his name on it now.
  14. We've lost another one of the greats, people. He passed away at age 90. They can cancel NCIS now.
  15. They're kind of like Internal Affairs, but with an undercover component and more field work. But the title sounds more like a show about cops who get injured or killed or perform acts of heroism while on the job. Though it more or less comes from something that happens in the last episode of season one. We're currently on the 4th episode of season three. If you've watched the show
  16. Watching the British show Line of Duty, via Peacock. Sadly, they only have the first three or four seasons, I believe, and BritBox (which I don't have or plan on getting) has exclusive rights to the others. The show should be called "Cops Investigating Cops".....
  17. Oh, they did deserve *some* of the hype. They finally broke the team's losing streak, and Travis Hunter looks like a bonafide stud on the field. But everyone's acting like Prime is already a coaching legend and that his son is locked in as a top 3 (not 5. 3.) pick in the draft when he goes to the NFL. The former is bullshit, and the latter isn't a sure thing. As I've already said, they need a completely retooled defense and a new Defensive Coordinator to go with it. If Deion doesn't go heavy on defense when recruiting, then he's out of his mind. Hell, the Saturday Down South and one of the other SEC groups have had articles about Colorado on Facebook, and there's no good reason why. Some of us who read those have been questioning them even being mentioned, unless someone wants to bring them up as an easy win if they ever play most SEC teams. (ie, just about every team except Vanderbuilt.) Last year's Georgia team would score 90+ on this year's Colorado team.
  18. Can someone please explain what I'm not getting from some of the stupid shit Marvel has done, because I quit reading comics regularly years ago, but keep up on things frm time to time, and read about all this recently, despite some of it probably being old:
  19. Like I said, their defense is Swiss cheese. Last year, TCU barely managed to score against Georgia and got stomped in the National Championship game. But Colorado barely scraped out a win against a depleted TCU team that was ranked 17th at the time, AND let that team score 42 on them. And they had to go to two OTs to defeat a team that they were favored to beat by 14.5.
  20. And speaking of Colorado State, Henry Blackburn, the player who put the dirty hit on Travis Hunter, is receiving death threats AND had his home address posted. Fans who would do something like that are trash. Seriously. HOWEVER, I think he should be suspended as many games as Hunter is out, +1. That should be the punishment for ANY dirty hit that results in injury. (1 and a half game suspension if there's no injury.) As an aside, I'm sick of people hyping Sanders and the Buffaloes. Yes, he quickly turned that program around, but their defense is pathetic and they had to go to two OTs to beat a team they were heavily favored over. They beat a depleted TCU, yes, but it was a close game, and last year's Georgia would score 90 on this year's Colorado. They *might* beat USC (I wouldn't bet on it, either way), but Oregon will end their undefeated streak. I hope Prime is heavily recruiting defense. And Hunter will be a stud in the NFL if he keeps playing like he does.
  21. The first half, the Vols beat themselves. The second half, the Gators and the refs did. ie, that substitution. I'll be surprised if Mixon isn't benched within the next game or two, if he doesn't step it up. The good news is, after this week's performance, Alabama being on the downslope is probably true. They didn't slaughter their "who the fuck are they?!" opponent. I'm not worried about Georgia and South Carolina's game, because the Gamecocks usually play tough. Unranked and underrated. I've also seen a few Ohio State fans act like their team actually accomplished something because they wiped the floor with Western Kentucky. Save that noise for when they actually do that to a good, ranked team. Which won't happen.
  22. Actually, I left the word `almost' out. The Eagles only won 34-28, and I was expecting them to win by 14+. But I still wish I had started Cousins over Hurts. Had a few more fantasy points. I'm debating which one to start next week, but am leaning toward leaving Hurts in play.
  23. Before he was injured, a lot of people were acting like it was a given that the Jets would make the playoffs. Me personally, I thought the odds were more likely than not, but not an absolute fact. Playoffs, maybe. Super Bowl, no. I had the Jets losing to the Chiefs, Dolphins and *maybe* one more loss prior to Rodgers being hurt. That is no longer the case, and I have them at 5 losses possibly with Wilson. And I also had them beating the Cowboys. That is also no longer the case. And no one I from the board we do weekly picks for fun on, or anyone I know personally is picking the Jets.
  24. That's just begging to get re-injured. Possibly even worse. He should either take his time - like anyone who isn't an egomaniac and has common sense - or retire. I'm still surprised that the Vikings almost beat the Eagles. And wishing I hadn't started Hurts the fantasy teams that I have him on. My other QB on that team? Kirk Cousins.
  25. And their cover of I'm A Believer, is outstanding, as well. Just out of curiosity, I listened to a song the band released with his replacement after he was forced to retire. I'll pass.
