  1. Steph Curry's 3-point streak is over. He went 0 for 8.
  2. Haven't watched it but 007: Road To A Million, on Prime, was pretty good. Brian Cox is the host.
  3. The one thing I thought was brilliant about the Saw franchise? Haven't seen X yet, but Spiral was great. XI is coming out next year, but I wonder if "Jigsaw" is going to be the one from Jigsaw, the one from Spiral, John (another prequel like X), Gordon, or someone else?
  4. I expected the Raiders to win by 17 or 20, not that asskicking. DMN must be really happy right now....
  5. Colorado might be ass again next year. Prime is recruiting players to fix the team's O-Line, when their D is a much bigger problem.
  6. I'd rather not be in the prescence of Gene Simmons at all. I read about it, and the first two things I thought of were a. What a joke/way to rip off fans down the road, and b. Most likely Gene's idea. Their `shows' will probably just be a pre-recorded show with clips mentioning the city its in edited in, so that everyone watching is seeing the exact same show. Might as well just do a concert film. They must've paid ILM cheap or had it done as a rush job, because the avatars are kind of shitty. I've seen the video clip and a picture, and Paul's face doesn't look right. On the other hand, this could lead to a way for artists who are injured or just too physically unable to perform on stage (old age, or illness that doesn't affect their voice or ability to play instruments) to still do shows: Sit somewhere comfortable in the back and peform whle the avatar does all the work. (Sadly, and morbidly, this could also be a way to have shows with deceased musicians, like when they had that Tupac hologram at Coachella.)
  7. "Spark" must've been code for "Piss off the rest of the team"......
  8. Any thoughts on KISS' virtual avatar reveal at the end of their last concert?
  9. If it wasn't for his age, I'd say take a flyer on Joey Votto, and convert him from 1st to 3rd. He actually is from Toronto, and I really don't see anyone signing him as a starter at 1st.
  10. I just want to know how Boyle ever got in the NFL to begin with. Its hard to believe he's been on 4 different teams, instead of asking people if they want fries with that, with the stats he had in college. Related to someone or has blackmail material? Really do not see any incentive for Zack Wilson to play, unless its to possibly get other teams interested in him next season.
  11. I know I'm avoiding all College Football related posts on Facebook for a while. They're all mainly either about Colorado/Deion Sanders (fuck that), Florida State being left out, or Alabama (either whining that they're in, or claiming the other teams are afraid of them). One whack ass fool made a post about how all SEC fans hate Alabama, until its the playoffs and we all root for them. That's bullshit. I hate Alabama, period. But not as much as I hate Ohio State. I pulled for Alabama against Ohio State when they played for the Natty not only because my hatred for them is deeper, but because a team that only played 4 regular season games and still made the playoffs was absolute bullshit.
  12. I'm kind of pulling for Washington, but will be fine as long as the Crimson Turd don't win.
  13. Beyond digusting. And if someone killed the longhorn just to do this, hopefully bad karma takes a bite out of them, if they're not identified and caught. I'm waiting to see Saban and whiny Tide fans try to argue that Alabama should get a playoff spot after they play Georgia. Georgia should still be in even if Alabama wins, anyway. (Alabama won the National Championship in a year they lose to SEC Championship to Georgia.)
  14. As long as he doesn't go to the Braves or Yankees I'm fine. He's one of my favorite players, but if he goes to either, I hope he has a BA around .200, and an ERA around 7.80. (If he goes to the Giants, though, I hope those are his stats vs. the Dodgers.)
  15. Sports Illustrated named Deion Sanders their Sportsperson of the Year.
  16. Pretty much concur with all of that.
  17. Yes, its the color version. This is it: https://tardis.fandom.com/wiki/Doctor_Who_Classics_Volume_1 I bought my copy a little over 3 years ago, in New condition, for less than what it sells for in Used condition from Amazon and a few other places now. And it came out in 2008. Used bookstores are your friend for these kinds of things.
  18. I own one of the IDW TPBs, but its reprints of Fourth Doctor stories from the 70's. Including the Star Beast one. I'd say that would be fine for an 8 year old, except possibly for one story where the Doctor becomes a werewolf. If you ever want to introduce the kid to Classic Era DW, that would be a good choice. (I got mine at a used bookstore. Was pretty much in new, pristine condition but cost a LOT less than I'd have paid in a bookstore or comics shop.)
  19. I'm kind of torn whether or not to watch it, because I'm just not a fan of that version of the character. I preferred Ted Kord, and used to own a copy of the old Captain Atom comic that had his first appearance.
  20. Sue being the focus isn't the problem, so much as the part about Reed is.
  21. Not bad casting by any means. But... Rumors are: 1. Vanessa Kirby might be playing Sue. Excellent choice if true, except for one thing: She's 35. This better be a FF that's been around for a while, if they go with her. 2. What's NOT excellent is that Sue is going to be the focus of the movie, with Reed portrayed negatively. 3. FUCK THIS!, if true: The Silver Surfer is going to be a woman. 4. Anya-Taylor Joy as a villain. Possibly the aforementioned Silver Surfer. (Personally, I'd cast her as either Alicia Masters or Crystal.)
  22. It sucks Tennant is only back for a few episodes, though. I marked out like a motherfucker when Jodi Whittaker regenerated into Tennant instead of Gatwa. I know this is Fourteen, but Ten is my second favorite Doctor after Four *, and its mainly due to Tennant's acting and facial reactions. He is the best Doctor actor so far when it comes to going from goofy or light-hearted to deadly serious in a split second. (I thought Matt Smith was great at it, as well, but Eleven was too goofball at times.) *And its a close race.
  23. With his college stats, I'm still trying to figure out how Boyle got in the NFL in the first place. Or why other teams after the Packers even gave him a shot. With his stats, he shouldn't even be holding the ball for extra points, let alone throwing it. And Hackett needs to be fired ASAP.
