  1. Tim Tebow is changing how he holds the football and practicing 3 and 5 step drops to try and improve his chances in the draft. Somehow I don't think that will work. I'll be surprised if he lands anywhere other than Jacksonville, and absolutely stunned if a non-Florida team takes him. About damn time. I think his days as a starter are probably behind him.
  2. The Rumble does sort of have screwy moments. I was doing one with an original CAW whose stats except for Tech and Hardcore were maxxed out, got thrown into the ropes and eliminated by someone who didn't have a finisher available despite me mashing the buttons in proper order and having hardly taken any damage so far (there had only been 3-4 more wrestlers who entered the match after my guy). And earlier in that same match I couldn't eliminate someone despite having beat the living hell out of them AND hitting a finisher on them in the middle of the ring. (They countered when I went to eliminate them) I forget who eliminated me (this particular match was last month), but I got revenge in an Extreme Rules match where I KO'd them. Also had one Rumble I lost despite me having a finisher available and using it to counter the elimination but the game ignored it. I actually reset that one, because that was a blatant case of bullshit.
  3. Yep, plus the fact that they're saying there may be no football in 2011. (Yeah, right. If there's not anything keeping the NFL from doing it, I bet there will be some football with scrubs, like there was in 1987 when they used replacement players for a few games.)
  4. Getting back to the skating controversy for a second, I read that the reason Plushenko lost was because he front loaded his program and some of his landings weren't that great. I also think the Russians bitching because Lysacek didn't do a quadruple jump is a load of crap. On the other hand, I also think the U.S. and Canada bitching about Amy Williams' helmet in the women's skeleton was a load of crap. (Really wish the Olympics had some sort of `sour grapes' rule to keep people from whining about losing with feeble excuses)
  5. Definitely recommend playing ME before ME2, because you miss out on a lot of stuff if you don't and the default (non-imported) decisions are all slanted toward Renegade otherwise. And in most cases, that's not a good thing. I think it goes without saying that if you even go through the Omega 4 relay without the shields, guns and armor mods for the Normandy-2, you're an idiot. But here's how to do the suicide mission without anyone dying - though it may not work out that way every time, but it should:
  6. Ah. Well, frankly, I lost any interest in figure skating years ago with all the obvious corruption and bs going on in the voting. Like the year they awarded Oxsana Baiul gold despite the fact she fell on her butt THREE times yet Michelle Kwan and others skated flawlessly. That, and the aforementioned incident with the Canadians and Russians in pairs skating. Still haven't figured out why the Russians weren't stripped of the gold. (I don't watch men's figure skating at all, just the women and pairs. And I haven't watched any of the Olympics at all this year; just haven't been in the mood)
  7. The Russians are bitching because an American won men's figure skating (for the first time since Brian Boitanno did it in 1988) and a Russian who had won gold before came in second. Well, BOO frickin' HOO! I doubt the voting was fixed, but considering that Russia has benefitted from the fix being in a few times in the past *, I frankly wouldn't care if it was. (I generally hate Olympic judging in the first place, btw) * The `72 Men's Basketball final game that the U.S. won then lost after some communist judge put time on the clock that shouldn't have been added, and the year that they awarded the Russians gold in pairs figure skating then awarded the Canadians gold also after there was a huge outcry rather than stripping the Russians and giving the gold to the Canadians after a French judge admitted there was some vote trading going on. May be other incidents, but those are the two I think of straight off the bat.
  8. I wish they'd bring back something like the old version of Create An Entrance (where you actually made their entrance moves, rather than picking a bunch of pre-mades) and Create A Taunt. I've got one wrestler I'd love to make if I ever get a next gen system whose actual entrance would be dancing on his way to the ring to Daft Punk's "Around The World", after doing Hulk Hogan's ramp poses.
  9. 1. Sinfest 2. CTRL+Alt+Del 3. PvP 4. Evil, Inc. 5. Penny Arcade Honorable mention: The Night Owls.
  10. I hope Stevie Wonder performs a lot of his classics, because frankly a lot of his most recent stuff has sucked. And speaking of sucking....Kings of Leon. Bah.
  11. Daniel Dae Kim has already found a new job. He's staying in Hawaii as part of the Hawaii 5-O remake series that's going to be on CBS. One thing about last night's episode:
  12. According to Jericho and JR's twitter, Who Dat was thought up by The Junkyard Dog And according to another message board and 2 or 3 different sites, that's wrong. JYD just popularized it. But its still damned stupid, all the same.
  13. Thank you for sparing us from that argument, Chase, because then I'd have to get involved on the opposing side. I was pulling for the Colts, because: 1. I'm a Peyton Manning fan. That's the ONLY reason I give a damn about the Colts. 2. Gregg Williams' comments about going after Peyton ticked me off. I don't think anyone should hint or blatantly say that they're going to try and hurt an opposing QB.....even if its Tom Brady, who I can't stand. 3. The way the Saints beat the Vikings. The Vikings and refs handed the Saints that game, with all the turnovers and blown calls. (That call the NFL called the refs on wasn't the only bad call; that catch that Brad Childress challenged that the refs didn't overturn was NOT a catch) 4. Jim Caldwell is a rookie head coach. 5. (Playing Jeopardy here) Who Dat. Answer: "What is a stupid phrase probably thought up by someone mentally retarded, Alex!" Though if the Saints had been facing any AFC team except the Titans or one led by Peyton Manning AND Williams had kept his mouth shut, I'd probably have been for the Saints. I can live with the Saints win as long as I don't have to hear "Who Dat" much, since the team had never even been to the Super Bowl before and there are 3 former Vols on the team. Don't think the Saints will repeat as NFC champs next season, though. The Colts *might* repeat as AFC champs, but I wouldn't count out the Chargers, or the Jets if their defense is as good or better next season. And I think I'm through watching football with my father. We were both for the Colts, but I had to put up with him making excuses left and right, which he does all the time - college or pro - when the team he's for is losing. (ie, accusing the Saints of pass interference when there wasn't any, saying they had an illegal block in the back on the play where Peyton through the interception. The only penalty the entire game I had a problem with was the false start on the Colts, because it looked to me - and to the announcers, too, apparently - that it should have been an offsides on the Saints)
  14. Deaths during the final mission can happen due to bad luck, I guess.
  15. Waiting for Gorillaz's "Plastic Beach" and thinking about pre-ordering a Michael Buble EP that comes out soon off iTunes. (Its got "Mack the Knife" and "These Foolish Things" on it)
  16. Jerry Springer is so obviously fake and staged. I wish it and Cops were off the air. I refer to Cops as "America's Greatest White Trash Home Movies"
  17. Regarding the final mission....
  18. I've got a new game going (plan on replaying my main game over to max out levels eventually), using a non-imported female Infiltrator. The plan is to get and to be more Renegade. Anyway, I did Grunt's loyalty mission earlier, and I'm still cracking up a bit over this:
  19. *GhostMachine channelling the spirit of a grumpy old man* "You kids get the hell out of my state!"
  20. Zaeed only fits in really if you're going mostly Renegade, I think. Oh, and use him during the Archangel mission if you talk to all of the mercs before going into battle. He knows the Blue Suns leader on that mission, so there's some interaction between them. I'm running a new game (ie, non-imported) with a female Shepard using a face I copied from http://www.masseffect2.com and modified it slightly (made the skintone a shade or two lighter -that's it!). Made her an Infiltrator and took Reave as the bonus power. This game I'm going to try and get and am going to be more Renegade. I plan on getting AI Hacking to at least lvl 3 (may max it), because in my previous game (using my imported male Shepard Vanguard) I found myself taking Tali along on missions just because she has AI Hacking when other team members would have worked better for parts of the mission. Oh, and as for Conrad.....
  21. Besides Mordin singing, I believe I read somewhere that its possible to get Legion to either beatbox or dance. I forget which; maybe even both. And the non-import game defaults suck. Not too thrilled that . They need to make Kelly an actual romance option in ME3. You sort of can romance her in ME2 (and no, its not the dinner in your cabin scene), but there's no sex and you don't get the Paramour achievement unlocked.
  22. Well, I decided to do the final mission over again, and this time I only had one casualty: Decided to start over afterward, and picked Energy Drain for the bonus power. (I almost went for Neural Shock instead)
  23. I've heard its just luck, but loyalty makes it more likely people will survive. I finished the game, and....
  24. Well, I've done all the loyalty missions now, and I was wrong in my last post. So Jack is the only one not loyal, and I'm about ready to do the final mission. Really wish I had taken a screenshot of Joker's face after EDI was joking with him during the
  25. I'm probably going to have two who don't make it, if the Loyalty thing is the major factor: About Samara's loyalty mission:
