  1. My one gripe is when Clay Matthews nailed Big Ben and the Packers recovered the ball, only for it to be overturned when the Steelers challenged. NO WAY IN HELL that was an incomplete pass!
  2. Ditto, if the league I was in wasn't already over. (Why the hell do some leagues do their playoffs before the actual season is done?)
  3. Slightly pissed after playing quite a few matches online yesterday though. I won about four or five matches, got quite a few stats up for my CAW. Turned the game off after a while, returned a few hours later to find out the stats had returned to what they previously were, meaning the game clearly hadn't saved The CAW RTWM only bothered me much when it came to Wrestlemania, though I didn't like the part where But that's a LOT easier than the Wrestlemania match in HBK's RTWM, in my opinion. I swear the opponent (not going to spoil who it is) has to have a Tech higher than 100 for that match, because he was reversing and countering a LOT more than he did in other matches. Are there any unlockable storylines for playing, other than the Santino one?
  4. Oh, I know Romo didn't choke - the defense is pretty much why they lost their last game, too - but I'm pretty much tired of Romo. Any word on how bad Ware's injury is? Glad you finally went to a game, Hajj. You haven't really watched football until you've been to an actual game....even if the team you're for sucks. Sadly, the only game I've ever been to was an exhibition game...when Heath Shuler was the Redskins' QB. (But I was for the other team, the Oilers, anyway) I want to go to games in Nashville and Dallas eventually.
  5. Okay, I know there are other problems - and Ware got injured - but from now on I am referring to Tony Romo as "Chokenstein's Monster".
  6. Can you not set TB Exploder attacks? I gave a CAW that ability but there was nothing for it in the Create-A-Moveset listings.
  7. Well, BBC America finally started airing the specials here - apparently they're going to do that on Saturday evenings - airing The Next Doctor and Planet of the Dead last night. The Waters of Mars will be on next week. The Next Doctor I thought was pretty good. Really liked the bit about the other Doctor's "sonic" screwdriver, but I sincerely hope this is the last we see of the Cybermen for a while. They're being overused as much as the Daleks are, and I'd assume it would be much easier to renew the rights to use them than it would be with the Daleks. Planet of the Dead I thought was a bit so-so, but am glad they used UNIT again. (So far the only other thing I've watched on BBC America besides Doctor Who since I got the cable package its part of back is a few episodes of Robin Hood, and the ending to it sucked)
  8. Whoever thought those jerseys were a good idea in the first place obviously never saw the jerseys the Orlando Thunder wore in the WLAF.
  9. I bought the PS2 version a few days ago, and I understand why it doesn't have some features (for obvious reasons), but I hate that they left out the training facility. Also wish there were more alternate attires. So far, I've just done the Brand Warfare and CAW RTWMs. I've mostly been doing Career mode with some CAWs (all original creations) and playing around with the Create A Finisher. Love the changes they made to the Royal Rumble. Its a LOT more fun playing it now. My favorite change, controls-wise, is only having one reversal button now. That's something they should have done a long time ago. Only complaint, gameplay-wise, is that sometimes opponents get up from moves way faster than they should. Its a real pain in the ass when you've done a match for 15 minutes and hit an opponent with multiple specials and finishers yet they keep getting up like the match had just started when you're trying to hit a high flying move. (Had one match against Regal where that happened, and I finally got fed up and made him tap to a Sharpshooter when I was trying to pin him with a Moonsault but he wouldn't stay down) Is there any way to put an opponent through stacked tables in the ring other than the Superplex?
  10. I'm not happy with where Boise State ended up for one reason. As they pointed out on one of the sports shows on ESPN (may have been Colin Cowherd on SportsNation; either that, or it was someone on Mike and Mike In The Morning), Boise State is somewhat overrated. They play a handful of fairly good teams and a bunch of lame teams, and it would have been nice to see them put into a "Put up or shut up" situation against a top tier team. Then either they pull an upset and win, proving they're underrated, or they get crushed and people quit bitching about Boise State not getting any respect and tell the Broncos and their fans to shut the fuck up. (I think Florida would absolutely annihilate them) I'll tell you two reasons why I think the BCS should either be reworked or just done away with and a playoff system replacing it: 1. The BCS was supposed to solve the problem of co-national champions, yet we've had it happen 2 or 3 times since the BCS started. 2. It doesn't matter how good a team is when they play a few games that are forgone conclusions before they even happen because their opponents are a joke. The idea that Florida could have played for the National Championship if they had beaten Alabama, when a quarter of their schedule was against jobber teams (Charleston Southern, Troy and Florida International), makes me sick. (And I'd say that about ANY team, not just Florida)
  11. The Vols will have to replace two coaches after the bowls are over. Wide Receivers coach is going to LSU, and the Special Teams coach is headed to Florida State.
  12. The game was just bad. One of the Cowboys' early drives was killed by two bad plays in a row by one player: gets the ball then stumbles, and next play can't even catch an easy pass. I expect Romo's post-November choking to kick in next game, and if it does, he needs to be gone by next season. And if Jerry Jones does fire Wade Phillips, I hope he has the good sense to not make Jason Garrett the next head coach. *sigh* At least the Colts and Saints are still undefeated, and the Pats and Steelers lost....
  13. Notre Dame still has to pay Weis the rest of his contract, so he wouldn't necessarily have to take another job right away if he didn't want to. And apparently 6 different NFL teams have contacted him about being their offensive coordinator next year.
  14. Yuck. I liked the helmets (the regular orange ones that say Gators I've always thought were fugly), but those pants were horrible. Looked more like crotchless panty hose than chaps, though.
  15. I'm going to have to get the PS2 version for Christmas (bought by myself; I get more cash than actual presents), most likely. So I hope there are some decent CAWs for the PS2 version out. Mainly hoping for good Yoshitatsu, Muta, and Raven (ECW or WWF eras) CAWs. (I'm trying to convince someone who doesn't game to go halfsies with me on a PS3 since it can be used as a Blu Ray player, but its not working)
  16. I want Cowher or Brian Billick in Dallas. Jason Garrett is probably not going to be the next head coach - or won't last long, if he is - and Wade Phillips is probably gone after this year unless the `Boys make a deep playoff run. If anyone could afford to spend the cash Cowher would ask for, its Jerry Jones. (Jones being a rich mfer is the only thing I like about him; the Cowboys may be my favorite team, but I can't stand Jones - though, at least he's not an idiot when it comes to football like Dan Snyder, or batshit nuts like Al Davis) And if he chokes late in the season or during the playoffs this year, Tony Romo needs to be gone from the team, too. Doesn't matter how good a QB you are if you can't get it done in the end.
  17. If anyone's being a twat, its France for saying they wouldn't allow a rematch even though everyone and their brother knows how they won was illegal. I don't know who France will play next, but I hope they get crushed. Question: If FIFA had ruled in favor of a rematch but France refused, could FIFA have just stripped France of the win for being assholes, or would their hands have been tied? I don't follow the sport enough to know how that would work.
  18. I'm pretty sure you're probably the only person here who likes rpgs involving make-up. (Sorry, but its one of my pet peeves when people spell "rogue" incorrectly) Zombland looks interesting.

    Fuck Miley Cyrus

I'm waiting for her to release a bubblegum pop cover of Achy Breaky Heart.
  20. Not surprised to hear Tito is whining or making excuses again. Its one of the reasons I don't like the guy. I'm not a fan of Koscheck either, but he was on the giving end of one of my favorite knockouts ever (Standing KO of Yasuda, who he put on the mat with a second hit).
  21. Probably best known in the U.S. for the tv series The Equalizer. R.I.P. (I have seen him in Breaker Morant, but have never seen The Wicker Man)
  22. At this point, I almost think the Browns would be better off if Randy Lerner fired Mangini and just let the coordinators call plays, with the team captains handling everything else. Because I don't see anyone in their right mind being willing to take the Browns' head coaching job at this point. At least not with a shit ton of cash and a guarantee they can't be fired without a full season under their belt thrown in, and you can pretty much forget about any big name coaches going there. And maybe they should pull a trade with the Redskins and get Hunter Smith to be their QB..... Eric Mangini should never be allowed to be a head coach again....unless its with the Raiders.
  23. I'll say what I said at another board: I think Cutler may have come into contact with some stuff left behind in the locker room at Soldier Field and has been infected, giving him a bad case of Rex Grossman's Disease. Also known as Interception Fever.
