  1. Pro Evolution Soccer & Football Manager 2006.
  2. If you just tap the through ball button for a lob, it shouldn't go too hard. You also need a very quick forward in a good position otherwise it's impossible. I've scored some good goals like that, with it bouncing once then hitting it on the volley from around 20-25 yards.
  3. The Bill (police/cop show) has done it a couple of times here in the Uk. Haven't wacthed them though because I hate The Bill.
  4. I would have liked to have seen Bent given a chance for this, but Sven opts for the goal less Crouch. And Phil f'n Neville?
  5. Yeah I played it. Call of Duty was/is my favourite game, especially the multiplayer. The demo was awesome, carrying on where United Offensive left off. I'd have bought the PC version, but it's one of the launch titles I'm getting with the 360. Can't wait to play the beach landing and scale the walls with machine gun fire reigning down.
  6. I went a bit mad on Century of Flight last year, I bought COF for around £39.99 and this joystick for £89.99 at the time. That's £129.98. I did also buy a new laptop for £1450 to play HL2, but I would have probably bought the laptop anyway and it was really to play upcoming game aswell.
  7. All for the 360, COD 2, Resident Evil 5, Tom Clancy's Advanced Warfighter & Gun.
  8. For things that come out Friday's, which this does, I usually get it the day before release, sometimes even two days before release. I usually pre-order stuff when they're first announced on the site though, so if you'ev only just ordered, depending on how many other people have ordered it, you'll get it the day of release or Saturday at the latest.
  9. So what's everyones predictions for the match this Saturday? I'm going 26-24 to Great Britain. I'm glad they've dropped Burrows (I f'n hate him) and Fozzard and brought in Iestyn Harris and Richard Horne. I'm not sure about Carney keeping his place but he's said to have been good in training so hopefully he can recover from his lapse last week. Squads:- Australia: A Minichiello (Sydney Roosters); M King (Melbourne), M Gasnier (St George Illawarra), M Cooper (St George Illawarra), B Tate (Brisbane); D Lockyer (Brisbane, capt), S Prince (Wests Tigers); S Price (NZ Warriors), D Buderus (Newcastle), P Civoniceva (Brisbane), L O'Donnell (North Queensland), C Fitzgibbon (Sydney Roosters), B Kennedy (Manly). Substitutes (from): T Barrett (St George Illawarra), J Ryles (St George Illawarra), M O'Meley (Canterbury), W Mason (Canterbury), N Hindmarsh (Parramatta). Great Britain 19-man squad: Paul Wellens (St Helens); Brian Carney (Wigan), Martin Gleeson Warrington), Keith Senior (Leeds), Chev Walker (Leeds), Leon Pryce (Bradford), Iestyn Harris (Bradford), Kevin Sinfield (Leeds), Paul Deacon (Bradford), Richard Horne (Hull), Adrian Morley (Sydney Roosters, Keiron Cunningham (St Helens), Micky Higham (St Helens), Stuart Fielden (Bradford), Jamie Thackray (Hull), Paul Johnson (Bradford), Jamie Peacock (Bradford, capt), Lee Gilmour (St Helens), Gareth Ellis (Leeds).
  10. I'm currently writing a screenplay and have written a few for shorts so I'd be willing to read it and give you some opinions on it. You know my email, just hit me up on MSN.
  11. You should still be allowed to loan players from overseas in the Premiership during the transfer window.
  12. I'm pretty evenly split between Sports (Pro Evo, Madden), FPS/Shooters (Call Of Duty, MGS), stuff like GTA and then sim games (Rise of Nations/Age of Empires etc.)
  13. Yeah, you don't actually get anything from them, do anything, you just get notified via email that your endorsing something.
  14. Football Manager Series (2) Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (4) Grand Theft Auto: SA (4)
  15. Anyone been playing as Real Madrid? I was playing on Live last night with them and I scored some wonder free kicks with Roberto Carlos. The best being about a 35-40 yard screamer curling right outside the goal, back in, hitting the crossbar and then bouncing just behind the line.
  16. Most of my games have been 1-0, 2-0, 2-1 etc. so I'd say it's your tactics. Playing as Fulham at the moment, 1 win, 1 draw and 2 losses, one thing I've noticed in this game, if you have a good target man, they seem to win a lot of penalties, I've had 3 in 4 games.
  17. Matrix Revolutions 9/10 Final part of the Matrix trilogy. Comes close to beating the first one for me and is a good conclusion to the series. I won't go into detail as everyone should pretty much knows what happens. Life or Something Like It 4.5/10 It was on TV last night so I watched it. The story is that Lanie Kerigan (Angelina Jolie) is told by a homeless man who can see the future that she will die next Thursday, she continues to lead her busy and hectic life, wondering whether the prophecy the homeless man gave her will come true. It all comes together with not much effort, with an ending that feels rushed and anti-climatic as everything is solved pretty easily. It was a good performance from Jolie, who's a better actress than most give her credit for, the platinum blonde look suited her. The only other good performance was from Tony Shalhoub as the homeless prophet. Overall it wasn't very good and I wouldn't recommend unless you haven't got anything else to do. If it wasn't for Jolie's performance I'd have rated this at least 2 points lower.
  18. Console companies always take a massive loss in the first year of a console release, I think with the PS2 they lost around $500million as the main aim for the company is to get market share, and then make money the following years as production will become cheaper (mass production, better developed) and off licence fees. I think Sony have predicted a $1 Billion loss in the first year of the PS3, which is something they might not recover because when the PS3 comes out, Microsoft will probably reduce the cost of the 360 by a considerable amount. One figure that amazed me a while ago was that Sony had spent $1.83million on developing the Cell processor alone. Just the processor alone, nothing else, I'd love to see the figure on what they've actually spent developing the whole thing. I still think it'll be a massive hit, but will be a loser for it's first two years instead of just one, but after that it should be huge as they're aiming for a shelf life of 10-12 years.
  19. Yeah it was a disapointing game, although we did have some bright spells, but I didn't expect them to do much, they haven't been together as a unit for long as the season only finished two weeks ago. We'll pick up two wins against the Aussies though and then beat New Zealand again, Brian Carney though was fucking horrendous, at least a Bulls player (Johnson) came out of it with a hat trick.
  20. It'll just support HDTV, there is no way it'll require HDT because they'll more thank likely be alienating 80% of their target audience, plus throughout Europe, especially here in the UK, HDTV isn't all that popular yet.
  21. 'Flagpole Sitta' by Harvey Danger is the theme tune for the second series which is the one I think you're after. The theme tune was different for the first series I think.
