  1. It looks awesome, but Blazing Angels and Battlefield 2 are top of my list at the moment as I don't really have the time to get into something as deep as Oblivion. Although I should be picking it up around the end of April.
  2. The graphics aren't anything special but I enjoyed the gameplay. Reviews weren't overly kind but I'm a huge Matrix fan so that's probably the main reason why I liked it, getting to play as Neo and all.
  3. It's worth it. Callof Duty 2 is an awesome game and looks great on the 360 and is my favourite out of the launch titles. GRAW and Fight Night both come out today here in the UK (I'll be picking both up after work) and are both out in the US, Burnout Revenge is also out. Both Gamespot and IGN have said that GRAW is the most visually impressive game on the 360 so far and the other Ghost Recons have been great games. Gears Of War should be out around May/June time and looks superb. A 14 minute gameplay video of it is around. As for other games, Oblivion is out at the end of the month (20th in the US, 31st in the UK) as is Blazing Angels, Rumble Roses XX, Farcry Instincts and Dynasty Warriors 5. Then in April there's Battlefield 2, the new Tomb Raider and Top Spin 2 which will all be worht picking up. Then past that there's stuff like Chromehounds, Splinter Cell: Double Agent and a whole host of games that all look v.good.
  4. It comes out Friday here along with Fight Night 3. I'll be picking both up. Can't wait to get online with GRAW.
  5. 5/10. You've just stuck three random pictures together and not really tried to blend them at all. The middle picture of Shelley for example has both his arms cut off.

  7. I got it yesterday. Didn't spend much time on it though because I've just got back into Hearts Of Iron II. It seems pretty decent. The space battles are awesome. I had a massive battle and it came down to me with one capital ship and a two squadrons of TIE fighters against the Rebels with two damaged capital ships and a squadron of X-Wings who were defending their space station. Luckily I'd managed to take out the Space stations cannons earlier. I sent my two squadrons of TIE fighters against the two capital ships and took out their engines whilst my capital ship hung back, fending off the many X-Wing attacks managing to survive by killing engine power and converting it to the guns. With the two Rebel ships incapacitated the TIE fighters, down to around 4 or 5, were able to take out their guns and leave them pretty much worthless. The TIE fighters then rejoined my ship and finished off the remaining X-Wings before I moved my capital ship in to finish the two Rebel ships and the Space station. It was pretty awesome.

  9. I'm glad I purchased it at launch. COD2 is excellent and Madden, despite not having the features of the other platforms is head and shoulders above the others in terms of gameplay and graphics. It's just a little over a month away until the second wave, and even shorter for some (Resident Evil 5 in particular). The second wave of games looks awesome IMO with RE5, Elder Scrolls, Fight Night, the beefed up Battlefield 2, Gears Of War, Ghost Recon 3, theres almost too many to name that look good to spectacular. The launch may have been bad, but that's the price when you try to launch in every major market at pretty much the same time and I think the figures came in at 1.5 to 2 million consoles sold worldwide which is still a hefty figure and of that arouynd 2.5% have been defective, which is a pretty decent figure considering the type of hardware.
  10. The finances should be sorted as one of the new additions to the game is the ability to negociate a contract for yourself from which you can select a number of different transfer budget and wage structures. I've just started a new game as Sunderland. I'm 10 games in at the moment and am just outside the drop zone. Out of the ten games I've only managed to win once but thanks to a very solid defense we've managed to draw more than we've lost which is amazing as we've only managed to score 6 goals and four of those came in our only victory of the season over Blackburn (4-0). I tried to sign a striker before the season but couldn't get anyone I wanted so I'm stuck with Jonathan Stead, Andy Gray, Stephen Elliot and Chris Brown and then Anthony Le Tallac on occassion but he's playing on the right wing at the moment. Anyway, my current first team. GK - Kelvin Davis DR - Christian Gyan (Bought from Feyenord for 1.8mil) DL - Justin Hoyte (On loan from Arsenal) DC - Stephen Caldwell DC - Gary Breen / Alan Stubbs MR - Anthony Le Tallac / Liam Lawrence ML - Julio Arca MC - Steve Sidwell (Bought from Reading for 2.2mil and is the heart of the team) MC - Carl Robinson / Dean Whitehead FC - Jonathan Stead FC - Andy Gray / Stephen Elliot
  11. Have you heard the rumours that Fielden and Sydney's Adrian Morley may be 'traded'? For Bradford's sake, I hope it never happens. Fielden is one of the top props in the world. Morley's just a glorified swinging arm.
  12. I'm a Bulls fan and go to every home game. We've been slated for a lot of our signings this season along with letting Robbie Paul, Jamie Peacock and others go. I don't see the problem, we've got a better squad overall this year IMO, just as long as Fielden goes nowhere we're fine.
  13. The date I heard for the start date was February 5th which is just under 3 weeks away. Sky is going into overdrive with all the new series lately. Stargate, Atlantis, Threshold, Battlestar Gallactica, Bones, Cold Case all on at the moment and Over There starting on Tuesday and 24 coming soon. I'm not going to have time to watch them all.
  14. If you're going to be getting either you'll need to get a HDTV first, one that supports up to 720p. I've got the 360 and I tested it on an old television I have kicking about and it didn't look too great (like a beefed up Xbox game) but on my HDTV at 720p it looks freaking amazing. Call Of Duty and Kameo look stunning (especially some of the environments in Kameo). So I'd suggest buying a HD ready TV before actually considering buying a console if you haven't got one already. Dead or Alive 4 is the next game to be released sometime in January for the Uk, think it's late December in the US and that looks stunning. EDIT: Also, I made a profit on my 360. I ordered one with Amazon the first day it was available but due to a fuck up they sent out the later orders first. So I picked one up from Ebay at the weekend with an extra wireless controller and Kameo for £430. Now the one I ordered from Amazon has just dispatched and someone has agreed to buy it off me for £520 so I've made a £90 profit.
  15. Whilst they have actually patented the software, I doubt they'll implement. Sony Patent One of Sony Europe's spokepersons issued a response back in November.
  16. It depends what you do with it really I think. I've gone through four PS2's but still have my original Xbox that I got on launch but my PS2's have gone through so much more than my Xbox. They used to get bagged up and chucked around in a rucksack every weekend when I was going back and forth from Bradford to Liverpool a lot, so I put the problems with my PS2 down to travel. As it stands, I haven't had one problem with my 360 yet, but I'm not going to risk standing it up any time soon.
  17. Motson 'I don't think anyone wanted to get Ukraine.' Even though Pele 5 minutes ago said he wanted Ukraine in Brazil's group. EDIT: England v. T&T is the match I most wanted and we got it.
