  1. Yeah good job by Dan Wheldon, he's gonna win the series for sure. I was still hoping for Danica to do it though, but there you go. Provided an interesting end to the race.
  2. Well it's today, the Indianapolis 500. I'm not sure how many motor racing fans we have around here but I can't personally wait to see how this years Indy pans out. Here's the grid: 1 Tony Kanaan (11) Dallara Automobili/Honda -- 2 Sam Hornish Jr (6) Dallara Automobili/Toyota -- 3 Scott Sharp (8) Panoz G-Force/Honda -- 4 ® Danica Patrick (16) Panoz G-Force/Honda -- 5 Helio Castroneves (3) Dallara Automobili/Toyota -- 6 Dario Franchitti (27) Dallara Automobili/Honda -- 7 Vitor Meira (17) Panoz G-Force/Honda -- 8 Kosuke Matsuura (55) Panoz G-Force/Honda -- 9 Buddy Lazier (95) Dallara Automobili/Chevrolet -- 10 ® Tomas Enge (2) Dallara Automobili/Chevrolet -- 11 Tomas Scheckter (4) Dallara Automobili/Chevrolet -- 12 Bruno Junqueira (36) Panoz G-Force/Honda -- 13 Scott Dixon (9) Panoz G-Force/Toyota -- 14 Adrian Fernandez (5) Panoz G-Force/Honda -- 15 ® Sebastien Bourdais (37) Panoz G-Force/Honda -- 16 Dan Wheldon (26) Dallara Automobili/Honda -- 17 Roger Yasukawa (24) Dallara Automobili/Honda -- 18 Bryan Herta (7) Dallara Automobili/Honda -- 19 Darren Manning (10) Panoz G-Force/Toyota -- 20 Richie Hearn (70) Panoz G-Force/Chevrolet -- 21 ® Jeff Bucknum (44) Dallara Automobili/Honda -- 22 Alex Barron (51) Dallara Automobili/Toyota -- 23 Kenny Brack (15) Panoz G-Force/Honda -- 24 ® Ryan Briscoe (33) Panoz G-Force/Toyota -- 25 Patrick Carpentier (83) Dallara Automobili/Toyota -- 26 Ed Carpenter (20) Dallara Automobili/Toyota -- 27 Jaques Lazier (21) Panoz G-Force/Toyota -- 28 A.J. Foyt IV (14) Dallara Automobili/Toyota -- 29 Marty Roth (25) Dallara Automobili/Chevrolet -- 30 Larry Foyt (41) Dallara Automobili/Toyota -- 31 Jeff Ward (22) Dallara Automobili/Toyota -- 32 Jimmy Kite (91) Dallara Automobili/Toyota -- 33 Felipe Giaffone (48) Panoz G-Force/Toyota -- I'll be looking out for Danica Patrick today, she could be the first woman to win the Indy 500. Personally though this for me is a three horse race. Tony Kaanan the poleman, Helio Castroneves (my namesake) and Kenny Brack - who was the fastest of everyone, including the poleman - if it wasnt for the fact he didnt do the first session he would have been on the pole. But overall I'm going for Helio today. What about you guys?
  3. Blue - Have heard this is a rare System of a Down track, but haven't heard it myself. Dam - A live musical track played by System on some old tours and sets. Basically an interval of music. Descrate - Not a clue Feel Good - By Hed(pe) with Serj as a guest vocalist. Fortress - Not a clue Friik - Not a clue Honey - Yes indeed, a rare System song. Bad recording quality but it's out there. Johnny - Was recorded for Toxicity, but didn't make the cut. Bonus song off the Chop Suey single K.I.T.T. - Not a clue Kill Rock 'n' Roll - As said this is off Hypnotize. Legend of Zelda - Sounds like its done by System, but isn't as mentioned. Marmalade - Recorded for the first self-entitled album, but didn't make it into the CD itself. Not sure if it was used on a soundtrack, but it was on the Toxicity single. Mushroom Cult - Not a clue Patterns - Not a clue Power Struggle - I'm pretty sure this was the original name for Bubbles, or at least a song off Steal This Album. Snowblind - Very good System cover. I believe its a Sabbath cover from what my friend said, and it's very good. Starlight Eyes - Make that Starlit Eyes. Reasonably poor quality, but it is a rare System track, and I like it. Storaged - Like Marmalade was recorded for the self entitled album. Ended up on a soundtrack. Temper - Meant to be a System rare track, but haven't heard it myself. The Metro - Recorded for Toxicity like Johnny. Made it onto a single I'm pretty sure, and I think it was also on a soundtrack. And I'm also pretty sure its just called Metro. Virgin Tea - Not a clue Waiting For You - Not a clue Want Me To Try - Not a clue Will The Die For You? - Not a clue Hope that answers some questions, and if you can I would definatly check out Kill Rock n' Roll, Snowblind, Marmalade and Metro. Great tracks. Oh and Johnny is good for comedic value as well.
  4. Yeah JJB have gone into manufacturing kits now. So basically you should be able to get your hands on the new City shirt all over the country lads...although I still doubt that! I personally like the away kit, our home kit is a bit meh really. But our one before then was absolutly awesome so it always was going to be. Anyone here out of interest seen the Bradford 'keeper Henderson in action? He's set to sign with us and it would be nice to hear what you guys think about him.
  5. I knew Leicester would be up there somewhere. The Martin O'Neill era of course being the thing that took us there. Our worst finish this season as well. But things can only get better.
  6. Why everyone laughed at me when I said Milan were gonna hump them I donno. Sure I'd like Liverpool to win, but Milan just are another league i'm afraid. Two guys are needed upfront for a second half assault now, and that's what is gotta be for there to be any chance of getting anything. Let alone coming from behind and winning it.
  7. This is the greatest thing I have ever seen... I don't know why but I fucking love this kit, I'll be buying mine tonight!
  8. As long as System of a Down get to number one I can let this slide. Although the Crazy Frog should rot in hell.
  9. Best news I've heard today. Give me death now.
  10. Yeah I bought him for my West Brom game, he done pretty good the lad. Sold him for 1.5 million more than I bought him for in the end. He also managed to bag a few more goals, although was behind Earnshaw in starting in my 4-1-4-1 formation.
  11. wow Germany is doing worse than us >_>
  12. Yeah I signed Steed Malbranque in my West Brom game, he was really bad and was shipped off very quickly. Didn't care at all.
  13. I'm only watching it for Wogan. Class guy
  14. Great cup final. I am always sceptical of watching them because on occasion they don't live up to the hype, but this one sure did. Man Utd were very unlucky, and should have won the game in normal time. But credit has to go to Arsenal, and especially Jens Lehmann. I have never been a fan of his but today he was outstanding. Congratulations Arsenal.
  15. Leicester one year had the loudest supporters when some recordings were done around Premiership grounds. Not any more though. "Premiership your 'avin a laugh!" is always a good one if your relegated and hammering a Prem team though.
  16. After watching Hartlepool/Tranmere I want Leicester to sign Konstantopolis - sorry if I spelt it wrong >_> Great performance from him to keep you guys in the game at some points.
  17. I agree with you Jam, he does sound like an idoit. What football clubs in the lower leagues need is to build a young squad that can stay the same for a few years. That way progression is possible. Getting rid of all the young talent and replacing with the old is just a short-term solution. It's all well and good having a few elder players to stabilise your teams (like how we have Dion Dublin) but to have a squad full of those players will mean you will need to rebuild your team entirely from stratch each season. They may be quality (although Short?! WTF) but they aren't going to be around for three years. Or are unlikely to be. The only true way of getting out of the Championship and managing to survive in the Premiership in my view is to build a young squad that can develop further - like Ipswich and Leicester did in their last lengthy spells in the top division. Under Martin O'Neill we took a group of players who were young, didn't have dignified backgrounds and made them into superstars. Muzzy Izzet, Matt Elliott and Theo Zagorakis being some of the many examples of that. These players became big, Izzet is now a top Premiership midfielder, Zagorakis won Euro 2004 with Greece. I feel sorry for all Leeds fans after hearing that. Not to mention Marlon King has completly lost any skill he might have had when I first started hearing of him.
  18. And just to follow on with that... Don't expect you will go waltzing back into the Premiership, it's a lot harder than you'd think. Trust me.
  19. That was possibly the most horrible program I have seen, it's up there with celebrity wrestling. FAQU on the other hand, that's a good show.
  20. Thats pretty damn funny But seeing as it's the end of the season what would your say about your team's season? Good/Bad? The Future? Etc... I'll get the ball rolling: Leicester City - 15th in the Championship We were the bookies favourites to be heading back into the Premiership with Automatic promotion come the end of the season, instead it was an undeserved relegation battle we had. Micky Adams left the club following being unable to adapt his Long Ball strategy without names like Les Ferdinand and Paul Dickov. Craig Levein came in and hasn't had immediate success, but has shown a lot more potential than Adams ever did for us. Transfers out of the club over the season have seen the average age drop sharply, out with experience and in with youth. Players who have left us over the season have been: Martin Keown, Chris Makin, Trevor Benjamin, Kevin Pressman and James Scowcroft amongst others. These players never really did much for us over the season and so I was personally glad to see them go, although if it wasn't for Trevor Benjamin of all people we wouldn't have been mid-table when Adam's left. Transfers into the club have been overall a big success. Levein has got an eye for good young talent, and out of his four signings - three have already become top parts of our team. Alan Maybury, Stephen Hughes and Patrick McCarthy all have potential to be the best players in the Championship next season judging by their performances so far. Mark De Vries has been a donkey so far, but if Levein sticks with him he might be able to return to the form he had with Hearts over the past few years. 15th place wasn't a great finish for us, and throughout Levein's time here we played well above that position. We lost games we should have won (Ipswich, Stoke etc) and drew games we should have won (Wolves). The major worry over the season however came with the HOME losses to Rotherham and Nottingham Forest, we didn't perform in those games while we always managed to raise our game for the top teams. We should have halted Sunderland's promotion party being one example - but like last season we let ourselves down with our finishing rate and goals conceeded. Now the season is over we have seen more players leave the club in the form of: Ian Walker, Nikos Dabizas, Keith Gillespie, Lilian Nalis, Scot Gemmill and Nathan Blake. Sadly a few of those players I would have loved to have stayed - especially Ian Walker who has given his all, and is one of the top keepers in the Championship. Gillespie was a reformed player under Levein also, and Nalis gave some effort to the cause. Unfortunatly their wages being too high seems to have been the main factor in their departures. However with those guys gone there is now people to come in. Patrick Kisnorbo - an Australian International being the first of those, while Jani Sturm's transfer was cancelled after he failed a medical. Rab Douglas looks like he could be joining us from Celtic - and the Celtic fans are already celebrating of being rid of him... Moma Sylla is another one who at this moment looks set to come in, multi-position player. Next season we have to pick ourselfs back up and go for a playoff position. Levein has had his time to settle in now, the potential is there. Although I am slightly more concerned than a few weeks ago about our chances for next year due to the departures of Walker, Nalis and Gillespie. So I really expect a top 6 finish next year, and it really is possible, as long as the team reaches their potential we should be there.
  21. I'm afraid to say guys there is only one way your club can head now, and that's down. Glazier will need to find money from somewhere to pay off the debt and there just isn't currently that much profit from the club to do this. Glazier in reality is a fucking idoit for thinking he can make a massive profit out of Manchester United. Sure he can increase the money they are currently making but football generally isn't that much of a money maker anymore. Not to mention he thinks the club is set in London >_>
  22. Ipswich have got the quality to go up from the Championship on paper, so it really doesnt surprise me West Ham couldn't hold on.
  23. Final Fantasy VII > All Well the intro was ok, but the rest of the in-game movie sequences were absolutly amazing as well.
