  1. Early rumours as always; "A couple of wingers also very much in the news this morning with Adam Hammill looking set to opt for Wolves, whilst Shaun Wright-Phillips is being strongly linked with a loan switch to Fulham." "Another one that looks set to go through today is Cardiff signing Blackpool defender Dekel Keinan, according to the Daily Mail." "The Daily Express claims that Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp wants to add Roma's Mirko Vucinic to his squad, whilst they also report that Branislav Ivanovic is ready to pen a new contract at Chelsea." "Kenny Miller looks set to leave Rangers for Bursaspor after agreeing terms but Walter Smith claims both clubs have yet to agree a fee." "Skysports.com understands Victor Anichebe is set to end speculation over his future by signing a new deal at Everton." "Thierry Henry is not heading for a shock loan move to Leicester City insists Sven-Goran Eriksson." "Manchester United chief executive David Gill has confirmed the club plan to address Ryan Giggs' contract situation in the coming months." "Celtic defender Jos Hooiveld has joined FC Copenhagen on loan for the remainder of the season." "Skysports.com understands Barnsley are closing in on the signing of Bristol City striker Danny Haynes."
  2. I was looking forward to atleast one 'upset' last night, quite fancied Donny Rovers over Wolves but 5-0?! Also Cardiff looked as if they took Stoke to the limit, but having not seen the game I can't really say. Leeds vs Arsenal tonight at Elland Road, honestly can't wait for this one. I'm gonna predict Leeds to win 2-1.
  3. Group C is now complete, South Korea thrashed India 4-1 whilst Australia beat Bahrain 1-0. The results mean Australia finish top of the group with 7pts and a goal difference of +5 whilst South Korea finish second also on 7pts with a goal difference of +4. Bahrain came third on 3pts whilst India finished bottom of the group with 0pts. South Korea will play Iran in the Quarter Finals, Iran have already sealed top spot in Group D. Australia will play the runners-up in Group D, which could be either Iraq/UAE/North Korea. Group D concludes tomorrow, Iraq plays North Korea and Iran take on UAE.
  4. All the day's transfers according to BBC; Also just my take on the Darren Bent transfer, I do think Villa over paid by about £7-8million-ish, but I'm gonna predict right now that he score something like 10-12 Premier League goals for Villa this season. He's a quality finisher and his movement is brilliant, also his willingness to run the channels is something any club will need. You put him up-front with Heskey or Carew to play off, and the likes of Downing/Young/Albrighton will provide the service for Bent to score. Aslong as he doesn't score against United in a couple of weeks though, then I'll be happy!
  5. Another day in the Window then, lets see whats being said in the morning press; "Zoltan Gera has admitted he would like to leave Fulham after becoming frustrated with his lack of opportunities under Mark Hughes." "West Ham are being linked with a shock move for former player Joe Cole from Liverpool, according to The Sun." "Widespread reports suggest Aston Villa are closing in on a £24million move for Darren Bent with Sunderland boss Steve Bruce ready to use the funds to bring in three new signings." "Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of Schalke midfielder Jermaine Jones on a six-month loan." "Sunderland have been linked with Jay Bothroyd after Cardiff manager Dave Jones revealed that an approach for the striker from an unnamed club has been rejected." "According to reports in the Leicester Mercury, Championship club Leicester have made an audacious bid to sign Thierry Henry on loan. Henry is currently training at former club Arsenal as he prepares for the start of the new MLS season with the New York Red Bulls in March." "Blackburn Rovers defender Christopher Samba claims Aston Villa have made contact with his club regarding a possible transfer. Samba is unsettled at Ewood Park after expressing his disappointment at the decision of new owners Venky's to sack Sam Allardyce as manager."
  6. Andy Murray beat that jabroni Kavrol Beck 6-3 6-1 4-2, Beck retired as Murray broke him in the third set, too easy this one for Murray.
  7. Nah Cue Club can't touch iSnooker, I've never played a snooker game like it. The realistic aspects on spin, stun, side and difficult cueing shots is amazing, it has actually helped me with my positional play in real life. Sorry didn't see this before else I would have been up for a game, PM me on here if you fancy a game another time, I'm more likely to see that.
  8. A bit of a turn around, don't like how the West Ham board are treating Grant though, I think he should resign. He deserves better.
  9. "Everton have agreed a fee with Tottenham over the possible sale of South Africa midfielder Steven Pienaar." Looks like he's on his way then, but whether Chelsea or Spurs? As for Darren Bent, £18million sounds alot to me, but you can guarantee the lad will score goals and that is something Villa are lacking at the moment. If they have the money to splash out then it will be a good signing for them.
  10. 1,500 people in a pub? Christ. For the USA vs England game at the World Cup I had to turn up for the match 5 hours before kick-off just to get seats. It's a hell of a sight when it jam packed and every one's a bit merry, especially when England (if England ) score!
  11. I don't mind it's all a bit of fun anyways. I've just tried PM you and I get "The member Beagle2 cannot receive any new messages" Just set my username as Jordan and update me via PM if thats ok.
  12. Today's reaults; Jordan 2-1 Syria Saudi Arabia 0-5 Japan This completes Gorup B, Japan finish top with 7pts and Jordan qualify second also with 7pts but with an inferior goal difference. Syria finish third in the group with 3pts whilst Saudi Arabia finish bottom after failing to score a single point. Japan play Qatar in the Quarter-Finals whilst Jordan play Uzbekistan, both games take place on the 21st.
  13. I'll be catching the Murray match tonight and all his other games, and I always like to watch Nadal and Federer. But that's where my interest ends really
  14. I'll join if that place is still up for grabs?
  15. 10 on Acca - Liverpool, Everton, Man City 5 on Blackpool 5 on Stoke Man United 5-0 Birmingham
  16. It has to be the World Cup easy for me, it's just something that brings a whole country together, and there's nothing better than being in a pub with 1500 other people all supporting England, even though they always let us down! But we'll be back in 2014 and we'll win it!!
  17. Right ok, I think I get it, seems simple enough. I'll make my bets in the week sometime then
  18. Cool so how do I join, I've had a quick read of the rules so I know what's going on. How many credits do I get to start??
  19. Is this something I can join in with now, or is it too late?
  20. Today's results; China 2 – 2 Uzbekistan Qatar 3 – 0 Kuwait That means Group A is complete, Uzbekistan top the group with 7pts and Qatar come second with 6pts. China just missed out of qualification on 4pts whilst Kuwait finished bottom failing to score a point in the three group games. Uzbekistan plays the runners-up of Group B in the Quarter Finals, whilst Qatar take on the winners of Group B.
  21. I think it was a freekick because the coming together did stop the Tottenham player's advantage, but it was never a second yellow you're right. Bad officiating again, but this week it went against United whereas last week it went for us, win some lose some I suppose (or in this case draw!).
  22. Never a red card, but I would have took a 0-0 before the game so I'm happy. 12 points out of 12 in the next 4 games and I'll be even happier. United 'til I Die!
