  1. The Alpine BWT sponsorship is very frustrating. I really like the colour palette but it annoys me they dropped the yellow/black scheme to move to a tricolour scheme and embrace being a French team and then immediately whack pink all over it.
  2. In a neck brace and oxygen mask apparently? Hopefully he’s okay.
  3. So after I had that title race fuck up with Villa the Boro job came back up and I made my triumphant return. And fuck me, was it triumphant. Finally won the Premier League (with four games to go). Liverpool were second and we faced them. Win and it was ours. Convinced (based on above experience) that we’d lose and lose all subsequent games. We won 8-1. And we also won the Carabao and FA Cup. Now a Legend at Boro which might be the first time I’ve actually managed that in game. So that’s 4 Carabao, 2 FA Cups, the Championship twice, the UEFA Conference League, a community shield and finally the Premier League. Boro also became the 7th unique PL winner in a row along with City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle, Man United and Chelsea. And English teams continue to suck in the Champion’s League, still only 2 finalists now in 13 years and no winners. However, they have won 12 of 13 Europa Leagues. Including this year where Brighton won and got relegated, so they will be playing in the Champion’s League as a Championship club. Meanwhile, South Shields have made it to League One.
  4. I always suffer the last 1/2 months. I’ve thrown away leads in the league twice now. First with Middlesbrough, then with Villa. With Villa I was top with 8 games to go and didn’t win a single game in the last 8, finished 6th.
  5. What I don’t get is that this basically sounds like the new structure they are introducing for the champions league just with more games (and I assume more ‘big’ match ups)? The big teams pushing for it are lock every year for the UCL, so I assume they’re just not happy with their share of UCL money?
  6. I googled it and there is about 20 minutes difference on the time stamp of the two top stories of ‘KD won’t be traded’ and ‘KD traded’.
  7. I’ve never known a player be so shy of a 50/50 than ASM. Anthony Gordon has looked really sharp since coming up. Done more in 5 minutes than ASM did in 70.
  8. Expecting that to get VAR’ed off That’ll do!
  9. Newcastle recruitment team might be scrambling to get a loan in after Bruno just got sent off.
  10. Don’t Chelsea own half of contracted Premier League players? They can find someone.
  11. Well they aren’t trying to get less from them.
  12. Had to turn the Wrexham game off after their equaliser because my daughter wanted to watch Baby Shark. Looks like I missed a good finish.
  13. 3 draws and six losses, bottom of the table. It’s not overly surprising.
  14. Haven’t they only missed something like 4 seasons total from the top flight?
  15. I don’t think it came off his knee. Silly really the rule is different for an own goal.
  16. I’d expect the rule to be if a handball leads to a goal scoring action then the goal doesn’t stand. It wouldn’t stand if it came off Armstrong‘s knee following the handball, for example. This is getting a bit testy now.
  17. Why is the commentator so confused why that was ruled out? It hits his hand and that leads to the goal, whoever it ultimately comes off.
  18. I know he hasn’t played much but Isak has showed little bits of magic every time I’ve watched him this season (which I’m pretty sure is all his games). Could be a really special player for us. Well bugger. Disappointed in Armstrong for not doing the Shearer arm up like.
  19. Jesus Christ, some of the shooting in this game. Surprised they’ve taken Mara off, looked like the only one that might make something happen for Southampton. We’ve gotten very sloppy with the ball in this half and I worry about our ability to break down a dug in Southampton in the return leg if Southampton score here.
