  1. To be fair Norris was there on merit and Piastri was sat in 11th when it all kicked off. They definitely benefited at the end but they didn’t look as rough as the first two races.
  2. Well that felt inevitable on that restart, everyone was bound to be super aggressive.
  3. Oh okay, that’s interesting.
  4. Well that was a fun 10 laps, might go back to bed.
  5. Kudos to George’s response though. Imagine the complaining if that happened to Max or Lewis.
  6. Well George Russell got utterly boned by that red flag. Feels reasonable under the circumstances that they should reset the order to the order at the time the safety car was called for.
  7. You need some better penalty takers.
  8. It’s a UEFA rule. Nations may choose a ‘closed period’ where football can be shown on TV. In England it’s 2:45 to 5:15 on Saturday, which is set by the FA. Scotland are the only other nation currently operating a closed period (with excepted dates). So basically the FA can opt not to have a closed period or the Football League can choose to schedule fixtures at alternative times. Although with the latter the Football League would need buy in from its member clubs, which if they had and given the rule exists to protect lower league attendance, then they’d probably just lobby the FA to scrap it anyway. Alternatively DAZN don’t broadcast the matches in England.
  9. So £100m over after accounting for the pandemic? That’s an awful lot.
  10. More or less this. Mancini was complaining about it this week in his pressers. I think of the 3 Italian clubs in the UCL quarters there’s a total of 7 Italian players? Which must prove a problem for a nation that historically has a very home based national squad. If they aren’t playing at home and aren’t excelling abroad, it leaves a hole.
  11. Perhaps they can after that Grealish miss. Woof.
  12. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team pass the ball backwards as much as England in this game.
  13. Bit wound up at the Italians booing the national anthem but then it was a shit show anyway, so maybe they knew something!
  14. At a loss as to why they’ve called a safety car for that.
  15. At least that’s a bit more interesting than him winning from 1st and lapping 80/90% of the field.
  16. And having said that Max has an engine problem in Q2 with no lap time registered and only 6/7 minutes left on the clock. Yeah, he’s out. ‘Nando for pole!
  17. For the season to be a foregone conclusion during qualifying of race 2 would be impressive if it wasn’t so depressing.
  18. I think that line about instinctive stretching, little to no control, etc. could be argued in this instance. Think Neville brushes by that too quickly. Of all the VAR fuck ups we’ve seen, this one doesn’t overly bother me. I’d allow it but I can understand how the referees have come to that conclusion.
  19. Im not sure we will. I think that’s probably been disallowed because the refs thought the Forest player was an ‘instinctive stretch’ for the ball and thus it’s technically a deflection. Which would make Longstaff offside. I don’t agree with the decision but I can why someone would reach it.
  20. LeClerc will have a 10-place grid penalty because he’s already exceeded his ECU allocation. Likely to have at least one more this season as well as can’t see the current unit lasting the season. Thats very rough for him.
  21. I’ve actually won a British national championship in baseball and let me tell you right now … this is pretty much bang on.
  22. Awesome to see Team GB at the WBC, even with the record loss. This is a huge, huge deal for British baseball. The income from the tournament alone is about 5/6 times the normal annual income for the BBF. Obviously none of the players are playing in our leagues over here, which is probably for the best, but you love to see it anyway!
