  1. I still see that "The Michael Vick Experience" commercial and it makes me laugh at the end when he says "That's not in the playbook. But it should be." He sounds like 50 Cent. Michael Vick should parlay this $100 million contract into a recording career with G Unit. Nevermind...I'm just taking it to heart that a guy that will be out of the league in 5 years due to injuries is now making more than Peyton Manning.
  2. $37 million in bonus money I heard. Kind of ironic the week these negotiations went down, Matt Schaub will be the Falcons starting QB, but nevermind that. From what I heard on the radio it will be between $100-$107 million for ten years with $37 million being in bonuses. It would be the highest signing bonus ever for a QB eclipsing the record currently held by Peyton Manning this offseason.
  3. This has happened to me several times just this year. I picked up Shellshock: Nam 67 and a used copy of True Crime: Streets Of LA. I got about 3/4 of the way through each than I got ESPN College Hoops 2k5 and Halo 2 and have not played either since. I eventually end up beating them like a year later and it takes twice as long because I totally have forgotten how to play the game and the rust makes for massive amounts of dying and restarting.
  4. Oh old Bruce how we have missed thee? After "The Kid" and "The Whole Ten Yards" we thought we had lost another one. And I like it already because I went through the entire trailer without recognizing Mickey Rourke. Always a plus.
  5. I still can't believe that Alley-oop pass came from Jabari Smith. The fucking Knicks though they are going to be the death of me...three straight possessions they run plays for Allan Houston, who can barely move let alone lift to shoot. Three airballs (one hit the backboard only but technically is an airball because it didn't restart the shotclock). I hate this team, they do nothing but cause me grief. The sad thing though is at 13-13, they are still in first place. Just sad I say. Just sad.
  6. During their challenge though, O'Neal can't play so even though he will get paid he won't play. That's the point I was trying to convey. I should have been more detailed.
  7. There is no guarantee that the NBA will even let him back because the arbitrator said so. That being said though it looks more than likely that O'Neal is going to be back for Christmas day and I can only wait for the ABC montage of the fight over and over again before the game. Oh yeah and by the way Shaq and Kobe play against each other on Dec. 25th.
  8. The Atlantic Division represents all those 5-9 teams trying to get the last playoff spot. The winner of the division represents the winner of the NFC West, a division winner with a record under .500 (you know Seattle is gonna choke.) The Knicks currently lead the division at 13-12 and would get the 3rd seed. Just sad I say. VOTE JAMAL CRAWFORD TO THE ALL STAR GAME!!!
  9. Yes, Matt Schaub will start in Vick's place this Sunday. Maybe the passing game will be better. Nevermind that, I voted for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers even though the shit the bed against the Saints (a death sentence if you will) I think they can beat Carolina at home and going into Arizona for the final week of the season to get the spot. I know so much crap has to happen for the Bucs to get in but with the NFC the way it is this year, that crap is not out of the question.
  10. Oh you better believe Shaq will play Christmas Day, and he's gonna try to get like a quadruple double and score 50 just to show up Kobe. It's gonna be ridiculous, the Heat are gonna put up 120 points. LA watch out. Tonight, Allen Iverson goes for 50 points in his third straight game and why shouldn't he? This is not the Pacers of old and noone else on Iverson's team can score. Better yet why can't Iverson score 50 a game for the rest of the season...ooops injured. And somebody please pull the plug on the Atlantic Division, these teams are dead.
  11. Scrooged...because Bill Murray is the man. And that's all I have to say about that.
  12. Dude, the Silver Snakes never won.
  13. DePodesta, I retort all the previous trash I have talked about you in the past week. Getting out of this deal has got you out of my dog house. You should have re-signed Beltre though because Jose Valentin is not even half the player that a bad Adrian was. Hopefully Jeff Kent can put up 30 and 120 this year.
  14. Yeah, both teams were 2-11 so they both were tied for the worst record but if I had to pick a team that was worse this season, I'd pick the 49ers. Ken Dorsey is abysmal. They'll get the #1 pick now and take a QB easily.
  15. Roethlisberger playing the way he has is a bigger story than the Patriots losing to the Dolphins. Peyton Manning's assault on Marino's TD record is a bigger story than that. Shit Terrell Owens getting hurt is a bigger story than that. The Patriots shit the bed once. Philly's main reason for winning has been put on the shelf. I don't think this taints the Patriots season at all, it hurts their chances of getting home field throughout but it doesn't taint their season. I think with this game though the Dolphins just played themselves out of the #1 pick in the draft.
  16. So much for Cabrera and Renteria playing Trading Places...and from an ESPN.com article I read, Beane says that Zito is staying put. Their entire rotation next year will make $6.75 combined. Just hope that the unproven talent they brought in picks this year to go from unproven to proven or Beane is going to get lambasted.
  17. Oh I will finally get to gloat today! Patriots fans, here you this. The Colts beat the Ravens and their defense played well. You uppity bastards lost to the Dolphins and your defense played horrible. And Brady thanks for the 4 picks MVP. Or that is what they'd want you to think on WEEI, the local sports radio station. This just furthers my explanation on how Brady is mediocre at best and if people can hit him he's garbage. 29-28, I know the Colts are 11-3 and that one of those losses is to the Patriots (damn you Edge and Vanderjagt) but the New England fans around here are never going to hear the end of it. I'm AMPED!
  18. Watch for Kyle Orton to sneak into the bottom of the first round, from what I've read he's starting to have the whole "Kyle Boller potential" moniker put on him where he goes from a 3rd rounder to a first rounder in a matter of weeks. I know its early but I think Leinart will be at the helm for San Fran next year, and watch for Tim Rattay to land some place like Cleveland, ala Jeff Garcia.

Barry Pepper played a good Dale Earnhardt and I thought it was a good move on ESPN's part not to end the movie with the crash. If it was a not-sports channel making the movie 20 years from now, the crash that killed Dale would be protrayed as a flaming inferno that flew into the stands and killed tons of people because that's Hollywood. But like I said before, Tilt looks to have promise. Having Michael Madsen in it gives it some sense of credibility compared to the "big" stars that ESPN has used in the rest of their movies and series to this date. Tom Berenger "Junction Boys", Brian Dennehy "A Season on the Brink", Tom Sizemore "Hustle", Omar Gooding "Playmakers", Barry Pepper "3". And one last note if nobody has the patience to watch ESPN all day to catch 3 and feels like wasting $20, you can buy it in most stores now, ESPN released it on DVD, weird seeing how it's only been out like 2 weeks.
  20. So Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis are nobodies? Am I getting this correct?
  21. I'm sure by now a good deal of people have seen the end of the Vikings/Lions game. Say Goodbye to that center, he's gone. What a crappy way to keep the Vikes from choking away another game. They were robbed of a choke by a choke. As for the Colts, last night's game proved one thing to me, if Edgerrin can't get carries up the middle Peyton can't throw up the middle. Every pass up the middle was batted down outside the TD to Harrison. It was a good game and I give credit to Baltimore's D but man does Kyle Boller stink.

It was better than "Hustle" at least, but hey I've seen movies on Cinemax at two in the morning with people that I've never heard of before or since that were better than "Hustle" so that doesn't say much. They did a good job overall trying to mix racing with the rest of his life story, but he sure says that he wants to race alot. And they couldn't get someone better to play Dale Jr. I laughed everytime that guy talked, I'm looking forward to "Tilt" that looks decent.
  23. Fuck this shit, I'm trying to give my opinion as well as arguments for both sides of this little scuffle and that happens is people overanalyze stupid little portions of my entire schpiel. I never said that hockey and soccer had the same fucking rules but they play the same way. And I'd rather see a tightly contested basketball game then one that is ridiculously high scoring, I just said that a game like that could happen. READ what I write, don't just see one phrase and take it and go fucking nuts on it. I know soccer is 90 minute matches but the point I was trying to make was that 88 minutes of those 90 are boring. Sorry if you don't get my "American" writing. Get a fucking grip.
  24. Did anybody by any chance catch the card for Johnson vs Tarver. I watched it and the fight was lackluster but well fought. What I want to talk about is the debut of Andre Ward, a gold medalist in Athens. He debuted against Christopher Molina, a guy who made his pro debut at 32 and was coming into the fight with a record of 2-0 with one knockout. From the way this guy fought though, the two guys he beat, especially the one guy he knocked out, should have to retire. He landed 4 of 40 punches in two rounds and that was being generous. I think they started counting clenches as punches for him. The last knockdown he got up kind of pissed off and was like "Come on!!" then he grabbed his forehead and just kinda slumped over. It was sad, this guy was a scrub to say the least. Anyways, I just wanted to say that Andre Ward beat a bum to start his career but he beat him bad like he should have.
  25. The Raptors seem happy to have Vince gone as they put a big boy beatdown on the Nets last night. Before the game they were talking to Raptors players and to paraphrase the sentiment of how they felt about Carter it was "I'm glad he's gone, I wish him all the best but he still stinks." Both teams really didn't help themselves with this trade though, as Mourning will not report to the Raptors and both the Williams have been banged up as of late and may not play significant minutes for a week or two. Just hope Toronto uses those picks well and one of those guys puts a pair of chinnuts on Carter on a dunk one time then tells him that he's a scrub.
