  1. If the Mets and Orioles were to combine rosters it'd look like this: C - Matt Wieters 1B - Ike Davis 2B - Brian Roberts SS - J.J. Hardy 3B - David Wright LF - Angel Pagan CF - Adam Jones RF - Nick Markakis DH - Vladdy Guerrero SP - Jonathan Niese SP - Jeremy Guthrie SP - R.A Dickey SP - Dillon Gee SP - Zach Britton CL - Kevin Gregg They'd be about .500. Can't believe that's the best pitching staff they could put together. Yikes. I also can't believe I wasted five minutes of my life doing this.
  2. If a more fair way of doing things isn't decided I wouldn't be completely opposed to teaming up with someone to run a team. It'd be tough, but I could manage. Just would want to know how the draft would work...are both guys able to make a selection? Just one of them?
  3. When the Pistons fall out of the playoff race after 5 games I could see myself rooting for the Clippers, they're going to be fun if nothing else. Not sure if they can make a run in the playoffs against some good Western teams, but Paul made a series out of things last season and he has more talent with him now than he did last year.
  4. It is funny the way Dana is spinning it, but I would much rather have a solid group of 10 heavyweights with mutliple different potential matchups than the same four or five guys in each promotion taking turns fighting each other.
  5. I'm fine with whatever gets decided. I'd love to be in the league for sure, but if I don't make the cut it's understandable.
  6. If there's room I am in. madeofclay@gmail.com
  7. Big 12 got hosed by the BCS in my opinion. I'm not going to sit here and say the Big 12 was as good as the SEC this year, but I think it was closer than anyone in the media will ever allow you to think. Outside of LSU and Alabama the SEC wasn't all that great. The Big 12 was extremely deep this season. I personally thought OK State should have been in the title game, but to add insult to injury for the Big 12 they choose to put Va Tech in the Sugar Bowl over Kansas State or Baylor? As a Michigan fan I'll even say those teams should've gotten in over Michigan.
  8. I am finally getting around to watching Fiji and I gotta say it really isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Some of the twists are kinda lame, but the cast is sneaky strong. There are not a ton of huge personalities, though Rocky's fantastic, but there are some really solid game players and strategists. I'm one episode into the merge so it's early to judge, but I don't know that it'd even be in my bottom three as of right now, definetly not one of the best either, but underrated in my opinion. However I will say...
  9. The B-League team of 4 put up a combined total of 460.66 points.
  10. Just so everyone remembers it is week 10 so we are doing the head-to-head battle this week between you guys and the B-League. The B-League's top 4 teams that will be competing are: Mystikz, Mysterio, Disturbed and Universal.
  11. Isn't it LSU and Alabama that were the major teams that made the NCAA change rules going forward and how many scholarships could be offered? They were oversigning guys and than having to cut guys at the last minute and make them scramble for a new team or bringing guys in reshirting them a year and cutting them the next year, etc.
  12. Especially considering they offer like twice as many scholarships as anyone else, you'd think one of the guys they get would be a good kicker.
  13. Somethng tells me there may be a rematch for the National Title. If both teams run the table and than Stanford and OK St. lose and they both still could, you'll see that rematch. Yuck.
  14. I can see why Cochran did what he did, and for that fact, I am glad that he did it. He sort of stood up for himself in a way, and if nothing else he got rid of Keith who has been one of the harshest towards him. However I don't know if it was his best game move. We'll have to see how it plays out. I do think there is a chance of a Upolu implosion which Cochran could use to his advantage is he plays it right. Ozzy is just not a very good strategist/game player. Great at challenges, decent at the social, awful at strategy. And I have to add, a horrendous actor. His thing at the Redemption Island challenge was brutal, Coach called it out, but it was painfully obvious he was lying. I think this season could get interesting. If Jim stays in the game long enough to do something I think he can still make something happen and drive a wedge in Upolu because he seems like a legitimately strong game player. So far this has been a really strong season, I am having a hard time finding someone that I am really pulling for as a player though. I will say right now I really like Sophie in the game. Like someone earlier mentioned I am looking forward to next week cause I cannot imagine the strategic reasoning for Albert shaking the game up right now. I would think it makes sense to eliminate at least a player or two from Savaii before even considering that.
  15. Haven't been a ton of movies that have made me cry... Million Dollar Baby is definitely the first one that comes to my mind though.
  16. This season continues to be really good. The dynamic between Albert and Coach on this last episode was especially good with both vying to have their backup plan in the six. Albert says it was for the challenges, but you know it's because he knows Coach has Edna in his back pocket and he thought he could do the same with Makayla. Rather disappointed in Makayla for the way she was talked up before the season, really didn't do much of anything. Though I am glad someone is going to RI who can give Christina a run for her money. Ozzy was all over the board in this episode. Admitting to everyone he had the idol when he was plannng on splitting from them, really? I have enjoyed this season far more than last season's RI so far, and I am more pleased with the decision to bring Coach and Ozzy back than I thought I would be.
  17. Kirk Cousins looked like a completely differerent QB tonight than he has in any other game this season. He was awful in that ND game.
  18. it doesn't have to fully cross the line. If it goes over by even a centimeter its considered in the endzone and a touchdown Hmmmm...It literally looked like it was on the line, very hard to see if it ever crossed over at all. I wouldn't have wanted to be the guy to make that call in that stadium though.
  19. Michigan State is good, but they're also lucky. I don't think they could hang with the majority of the top 10 teams in the country. On a side note....Texas Tech could be paving the way for an all SEC title game.
  20. Wow. What an ending. I'm a Michigan fan, so not crazy about MSU, but that was a great game. I wanted Wisconsin to win because I wanted a Big 10 team to be in title hunt. I'm unclear of that ruling though...Does the ball have to be on the goal line or does it have to cross over the goal line and be in the actual end zone? Cause the ball seemed to be clearly on the line, but it didn't look like it ever full crossed over.
  21. MSU has a very average offense, but their defense and special teams are very good, be interesting to see if it is enough to hold on in the second half. It's not easy to put up points in bunches on the Spartan D.
  22. I am having shit for luck so far this season. And now I am trying to decide between Curtis Painter and Blaine Gabbert for a starting QB this week with Rivers on bye.
  23. Tigers gutted one out today with Verlander throwing over 130 pitches and Delmon Young hitting a couple of big flies. I'm still holding out a little bit of hope that Max and Fister can contain the Texas bats for a couple more games and the Tigers can pull off a miracle, but if it doesn't happen, this team has nothing to hang their heads about at all.
  24. I'm not sure I've ever been so nervous/excited for a sports game in my life. I think the Yankees are the favorite tonight but Fister is better than people know. Its gonna be a long night for me. Go Tigers.
  25. Wahooooooo. I contribute a lot of my success to the fact that most people missed the draft which is a deadly mistake in an auction league. Don't worry, I'm not nearly as good at fantasy football as I am baseball.
