I usually throw a DVD on the 360 behind me. If its a game I can play comfortably in windowed mode, like FM, then Ill usually browse the web too. Theres no weirder feeling though, then killing 4 guys in Bullet Time in Max Payne 2 while the Spongebob closing theme is blarinig out behind you.

Well, tits, I have managed to balls up my Man Utd team after my first season. A great treble to start off, and then I messed up the entire balance of the team by getting rid of Carrick and bringing in Moutinho. Who would have thought Carrick was holding that midfield together? Still, as long as I dont get fired, things should be good for the coming years, with Veloso, Moutinho and Zarate all signed with nowhere to go but up.

Yes, but the end sucks shit quite frankly. It's fucking horrid as far as "cliff hangers" go. The stuff with Altair actually becomes very enjoyable once you reach the last assassination, which is unfortunate because there's not much left. But what happens at the end is idiotic. I understand the premise of spanning multiple games with the story, but what they do is inexcusable. Try that with a movie series and you'd see the thing damn near sink from all of the bile thrown at them. Giving a proper conclusion wouldn't have hurt, at least one with more closure than provided. Instead you get an ending that literally says.... "Yeah, wait a few years until we give you the sequel to know what happens."

Does anyone else find themselves loading up on players for a certain position all the time? No matter what, I just constantly seem to buy CM/AM's. At the moment, in my Man Utd game I have Hargreaves, Fletcher, Anderson and Aguero all in the first team, and 7 or 8 up and coming Cm's in my reserves. No matter what game I play, I always buy CM's first. Anyone else do similar with other positions?

That was a crap fucking ending, absolutely dire. Just leaving themselves open for a sequel I guess, but still, absolutely shocking!

Just lost my second Champions League final in 2 years as Man Utd, first to Inter, this time to Real Madrid. The first one wasnt so bad, it was a tight game and they won on penalties. But against Madrid, I was crippled by injuries, with Nani, Anderson, Hargreaves, Rooney, my newest star striker vaughn, bought from Everton, Van Der Sar, Ferdinand and Neville all out injured. Luckily, I had a decent lead in the premiership, so even though there was a dip in form, and a bit of a tense finish, just managed to keep first place. Still, I want that champions league trophy.

Has anyone else had a problem with adding pictures etc to the game? Every time I try, when I start up the game, all I get is a white screen.

A friend of mine says if you look in the credits, one of the people in the restaurant has the same last name as Phil, and since the whole killing someone in front of their family thing was a no no, one of Phil's relatives was gonna kill Tony in front of his family. There was also, supposedly, some significance in the Meadow trying 3 times to park her car, getting it on the third time, and the 2 previous attempts at Tony's life failing. I personally think thats stretching it a bit, and think he survived, but thats some "proof" someone I know gave to show he died.

I think all the match engine problems stem from one simple fact: It has been supervised by Ray Houghton. It never really had a chance from there, did it. On a serious note, I am finding my first season as Man Utd fairly easy actually. My main problem is trying to keep everyone happy, since I have Scholes, Hargreaves, Carrick and Fletcher all fit, trying to get into 2 CM positions, and Gibson is coming on in leaps and bounds according to Quieroz and needs some first team football. And also, Vidic and Evra are unhappy cus I told AC Milan and Barcelona to fuck off with their bids. Still, can imagine it will be harder when I start my serious game as Cork City. Eircom League sucks, but damnit, I'm gonna bring us to Europe!

Yeah I saw him go to Arsenal in most games I started in the demo. Chelsea still had a hardon for Adriano though. I noticed that its not really much faster for me than 07. Saving and loading yeah, but I always found that quick at the start, its when youre 10+ years in, the save files are huge and take ages. Either way, with a decent amount of leagues running, it doesnt seem to be that much faster.

Whoever came up with the idea to be able to turn transfer funds off for the first transfer window is a genius. Finally, I can play without Chelsea landing Adriano and Cambiasso, as they always seem to do.

I dont suppose we will be able to continue or save games from the demo when the full game comes out, will we? Started as Utd, and got a good run going. Managed to beat Chelsea 2-0 at Old Trafford, then managed a 2-1 victory at the Emirates, with 2 goals in the last 5 mins. I have noticed though, that no matter what I say in the media, a lot of players seem to be "Worried about the lack of managerial discipline". Cant imagine why, I usually try to stay very diplomatic with the press. Oh, and Kevin Doyle is a waste of money.

I just cant seem to win La Liga with my Real Madrid team. We are in 2017, and the only people still knocking about my Real team are Cassillas and Ramos. I have quality all over, and have been consistently poaching the top young talent for 5 years, and introducing them to my first team. Still cant claw back Atletico who have won La Liga 3 times in the last 4 years. And this season isnt starting out too well either. My assistant set up a pre season tour, which was promptly cancelled a week before we were due to start, so I had to make do with friendlies against 2 of my feeder clubs, and my B and C teams. I did however bring Atletico's latest striking wonderkid to the Bernebeu, hopefully he will help me turn things around on Atletico.

Maybe its a driver problem. Try and update your drivers, or if you have recently, maybe there is a problem with them. Alternatively, it could be a hardware problem. Check if its still plugged into your motherboard properly. You could also invest in a fan to put on it, like a Zalman, to make sure it stays cool.

After one of my most productive transfer periods, having secured the services of Aaron Lennon and Michael Owen, as well as poaching no less then 20 of the most promising youngsters on the planet, decimation Barcelona's youth ranks in the process, my computer crashed. Not only did I lose all my transfers, but all data from my last save game, on the 1st January My enthusiasm was almost completely lost, as usually happens when something like this happens, for a few months, probably till the next FM, however i stumbled accross an old Real Madrid save game. I started as manager of my local team, Cork City, in the Eircom league, and worked my way up to FC den Bosch in the dutch 2nd division, getting them promoted, then to Murcia in La Liga BBVA, getting them promoted, and moving on to Real Madrid. This game was a whole year in the making, starting last September at the start of College, and I hadnt played since May cus my comp here cant really handle it cus almost every nation is on and the save game is huge. I am currently coming to the end of the 2016 transfer window, with players like Cassillas, Diarra, Robinho, Boularouhz and De Jong all still kicking about the first team. The board and the fans are unhappy with me since I have been angling for the Utd job all summer, but they seem intent on keeping Keane there. I also havent bought enough star players for the boards liking, since I usually like to poach youngsters and nurture them from the youth ranks, I just find it more fun. Should be interesting, wonder if I will be sacked before too long or if I will get a chance to turn the board and fan opinions around.

Well, I would wait until a true next gen PES is released until we judge which is better. Sure FIFA 08 might be better then PES 06, but that was pretty much 5 lite shipped to the 360. The next PES will be the real litmus test for the series, and will show whether they have managed to rise to FIFA's challenge.

I was a semi finalist and went out on penalties. Last year, I was a finalist, and the year before, semis again. If the whole system is based on European comps only, then it seriously isnt worth taking note of. If Barcelona can win 6 straight La Liga titles and still slip out of the top 5, then I guess its just not really worth taking too much notice of.

I hate the European Club rankings system. I finish with a domestic double, the league and FA Cup, and drop 2 places. Chelsea, on the other hand, finish outside the top 4 in the Premiership, but win the Champions League, and they move up from 5th to first. That sucks. no justice.

Rafael Sobis can be converted pretty easily from FC to AR. Hes very fast too, which is always good. Also, sometimes Fabian Brandy from the Utd reserves turns out pretty well, and he can be used there too. I usually use him as a backup AR in my Utd game, hes like lightning, 20 acceleration and 20 pace, and if you stick him on a wingers training schedule pretty quickly, you can improve his crossing etc.

Well, that does sound like it for the machine. Just get on to Microsoft, they are very good for that. Im pretty sure the will repair/replace for free, even if its out of warranty, since its a pretty common problem, and would appear to be a design fault.

I wouldnt worry, similar thing happened with mine. It froze with Madden 06, then 4 red lights came, and then it worked again grand and has been going ever since. Only get worried if you see 3 red lights. Personally, I would think more red lights means more severe problem, but meh. Your system should be working grand. But if its anything like mine, Madden will always be a bit iffy.

Did you leave the game in when you restarted? I had a few problems like that with Madden 06 myself. Would freeze sometimes and if I left it in, wouldnt restart properly.

Yeah, if you have the red lights, just get on to Microsoft. They are actually pretty good with that, and either repair it or replace it outright, since its a pretty notorious problem.

I have a question about the GBA/DS versions of the series. Are they only going to be releasing up to VII on them, like just the ones that never got to Europe, or will they remake all of them? Personally I would love to see VII on the DS since I missed out on it for the PS.
