  1. Well fired up my Man Utd game, and finished my fourth season. Kinda disappointing, finishing 3rd in the Premiership behind Chelsea and Arsenal, and being knocked out of the CL in the quarters by Chelsea on away goals. The FA Cup thankfully made sure I didnt finish the season trophyless. My main problem now is with youngsters. I spent the last 3 seasons buying nothing but youngsters, and a lot of them are ready to break into the first team. I seem to like filling my reserve team with promising midfielders, and now I have 4 established first teamers for 2 central positions, and 3 or 4 youngsters looking to get in there. If I can finally get my hands on the Champions League, I think I might start another game as Cork City. League of Ireland is pretty tough, and disorientating with its schedule.
  2. If you just go into prefernces and uncheck the Full Screen option, it will play windowed.
  3. Yeah Stokes is class. His technical skills arent the greatest, but his finishing, dribbling and pace are so high, he just cant stop scoring. Gibson turned into a midfield god for me, dominating midfields like germany and the Czech Republic at the age of 19. His potential is fairly random though, so hes very hit or miss in getting really good. Lucky for me he seemed to have a high potential.
  4. I started a game as Ireland manager a while back, cus even I could do a better job the Staunton. And I did, qualifying for Euro 2008, even getting to the quarter finals. I had bled in a lot of youngsters, Stokes scoring goals left right and centre, and got rid of all the crap in the squad. Went ahead and qualified for the next world cup with ease. Then the Ajax job became available, so I took that and waved the Ireland job goodbye. Was kinda pleased when the re hired Mick McCarthy as manager, since i thought he wouldnt do half as well as I did. Bastard only went and beat Argentina 3 - 1 in the final, with MY carefully nurtured players. I hate Mick McCarthy!
  5. Eternal Flame by the Bangles. Ever since I was a kid, and I just cant figure out why.
  6. Still, there are some impressive times on there, with games that you cant exploit that much from. Kotor and Deus Ex in just over 3 hours each is a respectabe achievement. Morrowind in 7mins, and Fallout in 9 are also impressive. They might not be how we would play it, but fun to watch anyway
  7. Half Life Blue Shift was the quickest I ever beat a game. 1 sitting was all it took. I was disappointed. http://speeddemosarchive.com/ There are some seriously impressive times on that site. Seriously impressive!

    Great

Richard Cheese. Everybody needs some Richard Cheese on their ipod. Also, if you're into Oasis and the like, The Stone Roses would be a good bet.
  9. The Lion King and The Emperors New Groove. Emperors New Groove is all kinds of awesome.

    Well...

I was just about to suggest Deadwood. I love it. Can anybody find a show with more swearing in it? Yeah, Deadwood gets my vote, but you would need to catch up on previous series' of it to have any idea whats what. Also, does anybody remember Ian MacShane in Lovejoy? Now THAT was a touch of class.
  11. Ronan Keating did an atrocious version of Fairytale Of New York by the Pogues, bastard nearly ruined the original for me too. I'd also like to nominate Scissor Sisters' version of Comfortably Numb. Just horrible. A controversial mention goes to Metallica's attempt at Whiskey in the Jar. Not only was it a bad version, but the video just proved the either didnt know, or didnt care, what the song meant. grrr
  12. Hungarian Rhapsody by Liszt is a nice chirpy piece, you might remember it from Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Daffy and Donald were playing it on the pianos on stage when we see Jessica Rabbit first Also, Ride of the Valkerye by Wagner is a good piece. My personal favourite is Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. If you like the more melancholy ones that is.
  13. The Monkey Island games are without doubt the funniest games in existance. I laughed through all 4 of them, non stop. I remember after beating the banjo duel in the third, just sitting for hours listening to the guys solo I agree, Escape, the most recent, is probably the weakest overall, but there are still some awesome jokes in it. the whole "theres something fishy on Melee Island" bit jumps to mind, as well as "That pig shaped bush frightens and confuses me" (I just finished it again yesterday ) I remember a few years back, when the Bounty Pack was out, with the first three together came out I was so happy to get them all again, then I lost it, and now Im a sad sad man :'( And I never could get ScummVM to work
  14. Trinity's death was probably the most satisfying part of the last 2 movies, and at the same time, annoying. I mean, I was overjoyed she died, cus I couldnt stand her after the first one, and annoying cus it just went on and on. As for movies that give me chills, the ending of Shawshank is always a good one. And who doesnt get chills at the end of The Usual Suspects?
  15. I actually managed to get Murcia promoted to the Primera Liga. On the last day of the 3 seasons I challenged myself to. Now the arduous task of staying there.
  16. Well they were semi pro, and after a few years getting money in through European competitions, they turned fully pro. So I guess if it can happen to a club when your in charge, it must be able to happen to any team not fully pro on the database.
  17. I remember when I first bought this game, ot completely took over nearly 2 weeks of my life. Unfortunately, I started off by completing the Dark Brotherhood quests, the best in the game, and now, everything else just doesnt seem as fun as those missions.
  18. I decided to take control of my local team a while back, good old Cork City in the League of Ireland. Just getting them to a position to turn fully pro was a pain. But after 4 years, I moved to Real Murcia, in the Spanish second division, and set myself the task of getting promoted within 3 years. Man that was a big mistake.
  19. Its the first one the Fighters Guild in Balmora gives you. Would be a nice easy introduction, were I not so shockingly bad. But, thanks to me finding nice goodies in some Dwemer ruins, I am the Super Nord
  20. You think thats bad? I tried about 4 times on the very first rat killing quest. It was all fine until those 2 bastards ganged up on me. Died every time. Eventually too the pussy way out, killed one, ran out of the place, healed, went back and killed that last one. That will teach those rats to mess with Magnus Hellgbjorn super Nord!
  21. Its just an extremely open ended RPG. And what more needs to said about it other then Patrick Stewart and Sean Bean. I mean, come on!
  22. Well, finally I will be putting my Alienware to good use. 3 grand, I even took out a student loan, and all I do is play fecking FM2006 :S This will be a game worthy of my computer. Not to mention it will just be all kinds of awesome.
  23. Right, with 2 weeks left until the release of my most anticipated game since Zelda 64 back in the day, I was wondering if anyone else is also just dieing with anticipation? The game just looks sweet on so many levels. The graphics are sublime, the new AI system promises to be good. Theres so much freedom, it's mind boggling. And, Patrick Stewart! So, anyone else excited?
  24. Mr. Bungle definitely kept getting better with every album. California was all kinds of awesome. The Mars Volta just keep getting better and better, and they were class to begin with.
