  1. There's a Half-Life 2 expansion pack in the works called Aftermath. There's nothing on HL3 at the moment.
  2. They interviewed a guy from Jamster on the chart show. He says Sweety The Chick is going to have a single too and the Frog will be back. Oh. My. Fucking. God.
  3. Ah bollocks, it's 100% official now, the Official Chart Show just played Coldplay at 2. Annoying thing is it'll probably be there for a few weeks at least!
  4. I'm not Coldplay's biggest fan and that Akon song annoys the crap out of me, but either of them or the current number 1 (Oasis) would be better than the fucking Crazy Frog.
  5. http://www.amazon.co.uk Check out the Hot 100 PC and Video Games at Amazon UK, some of those prices are insane!! You could probably make a tidy profit doing trade-ins on some of these. 6. Just go for the biggest one for your OS. I presume you're on windows? Then the 5.16Mb one looks a good shot.
  7. Adding something to the topic: I thought Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 was one of the best games I've ever played. It was like Theme Park, but everything was so much better, mainly due to the varied landscapes and totally different themes that you could attach to your rides and different areas of the park. The two add-on packs were great too, giving you many more scenarios and different themes etc. Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 just kind of seemed like a bit of a cash-in to be honest - not a lot had been changed, certainly not enough to warrant a separate game. What annoyed me is that they insisted that different 'cars' on rides constituted a different type of ride! ie. on the boat ride, having canoes would be a different ride to having swans, when it's just the cars that actually change. Haven't got any of the add-on packs for this one, so I don't know if they improve the game any. Have played the demo for RCT3, and although it was nice to actually ride on your coasters and other rides, it didn't really do it for me. I thought it was just all a bit fiddly trying to build paths and the like due to the full 3D. Plus you can't build underground, which severly limits your imagination. The fireworks seems like a good idea though, liked the day/night cycles and liked the fact you could attach MP3's to your rides/fireworks as music. But when you have problems trying to build things, it hampers the game somewhat.
  8. I presume it's the RCT Win2000/XP patch you wanted? I've e-mailed it to the address in your profile.
  9. Here's a good site for remakes: http://www.remakes.org/ Look under Mad TV and there's a couple. Not sure if they're any good, although I think I've played TV Gigant before and it was ok.
  10. http://www.soldat.prv.pl/ Not a bad little game actually.
  11. There's a good fansite here, I'm sure there's probably more: http://www.count-takeshi.tk/ But the basic premise of the show is that 100 people begin each episode and then they go through a series of games that eventually whittle them down to the last remaining few (usually not more than 10, even that's quite high). They then do the Final Showdown where they try to eliminate the Emerald Guard and Count Takeshi and by doing so, can storm Takeshi's Castle and win the show. It's a brilliant show, and seeing someone get smacked in the face with a ball travelling 100mph never gets boring. I could go into more detail, but I'd only end up explaining it poorly, I think there's a good explanation on the above site. EDIT: Just to add - in the Final Showdown, the contestants all get into things resembling dodgem cars and either have lasers to hit the sensors on the enemy dodgems (like laser tag) or a water cannon, where every dodgem has a paper ring on the front - if the ring is pierced, you're eliminated.
  12. Yeah, play.com is the cheapest I can see on the net at £17.99, but I saw it in some places for slightly cheaper in the post-Xmas sales. They'll probably be finished by now though, so you'd just be as well getting it from there. It really is a great film trilogy, some interesting extras on the DVDs too, like how they did the hoverboard sequences. The only disappointing thing about the set is that the only commentary is on the first film, and even that is just the audio from a Q&A press conference that Robert Zemekis and Bob Gale (writers) did that in no way synchs up with the movie. But for the equivalent of £6 per film, it's still great value. EDIT: typo
  13. Is there a source on this? I can't find it on any gaming sites, so I'm a bit sceptical until I do. EDIT: Just beat me to the punch there.
  14. As far as I'm aware, the music itself may be royalty free, but whoever performed it would own that particular performance of the music, if you see what I mean.
  15. Yeah, it'll probably be premium content, they'd be stupid to not make it premium. Project Gotham 2 had that, but it was still relatively cheap at £2.99, so if Halo 2's is the same price for extra maps then it should be worth it. There's also an unlockable multiplayer map called 'Foundation' I think, if you look up any cheat site it'll tell you how to do it (it's actually not a cheat, though). And on the special edition, there's a bonus disk with a lengthy 'making of' documentary, which really gives insight into the making of the game. In short - they fucked up the design early on (by their own admission) - they were too ambitious - and that's why it's taken so long to make. Hopefully they've learned by their mistakes and it won't take 3 years to get Halo 3 out. Oh, it also shows most of the voice actors, except Master Chief. All we see is a blonde moustache looking like it belongs to a middle-aged hunting fanatic.
