  1. You mean Mauro didn't just butt in with some obnoxious, "witty" series of shouts and yelps anyways? Spinning Heel Kick ftw. Let's go Saffiedine! Question Mark Kick! Saffiedine is my new favorite SF WW.
  2. DRC is going to look AWESOME against those #3's.
  3. The salary floor doesn't go into effect until 2013, and Johnson is a one year wonder who in no way, shape or form deserves to be the highest paid defensive end in the game (even if that's only until Osi signs his deal).
  4. Carolina? Saying they overpaid for Johnson is a HUGE understatement, and re-signing a 28 year old DeAngelo to the deal they did when they have Jonathan Stewart ready to go seems like a waste of money.
  5. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8210ca92/article/eagles-deal-kolb-to-cardinals-for-cb-rodgerscromartie-a-pick?module=HP11_cp Anybody hear anybody else confirm this?
  6. Adrian Wilson went to the Pro Bowl last year. Adrian Wilson was absolutely, unequivocally, undisputedly garbage last year. The Pro Bowl is just a popularity contest, it doesn't hold much water.
  7. Wow...talk about a rip off. The Eagles must be screaming in joy after this one. I don't have a problem with it. DRC is overrated; he's basically all potential at this point (same as Kolb), and was a poor fit for AZ's defense that wasn't long for this team anyways. A 2nd rounder to account for the disparity in positional value is fine. The contract extension is too much, too soon though. They should have waited until mid-season to evaluate his worth at the very least, though I can respect going all in for "your guy" (and Kolb has been Whis's "guy" since well before last season even ended).
  8. Schefter's reporting that Haynesworth's going to New England for a 2013 5th rounder. Now watch him turn into a Hall of Famer. Fuck off, Belichick. >_>
  9. Crazy like a fucking fox! Can always just run two leagues.
  10. And Tito Ortiz crashed his Rolls Royce Phantom. Thankfully, he's fine and the main event is still on, but I'm telling you, there's one pissed off voodoo master out there somewhere.
  11. Pretty sure I remember reading that it was to be a Spike show from the get-go, but yeah, whatever.
  12. What shaman did Dana piss off for this nonsense? Constantinos Philippou's out of his match with Rafael Natal and will be facing Rivera now, and Paul Bradley's being brought in to face Natal.
  13. Starring Ryan Gosling, Bryan Cranston, Ron Perlman, Christina Hendricks and Albert Brooks, and directed by the Dane behind Bronson and the Pusher movies. Tell me that doesn't make your penis move, even a little.
  14. Cruz/Faber only drew about 350k buys, iirc. Putting Cruz/Johnson on free TV kills a bunch of birds with one stone - gets Cruz in front of close to a million eyeballs, puts their most underexposed division in front of close to a million eyeballs, and shows that the UFC is willing to put title matches on free cards just in time for them to shop themselves to either a lucrative extension with Spike, or a lucrative deal elsewhere, like MPH said. And what are the chances that Cruz/Johnson will be a boring fight? Pretty damn slim.
  15. And Urijah Faber'll be taking on Brian Bowles at 139. Pretty quick turnaround for two guys who just went a full 5 rounds with very little stalling or lack of action. I dunno, UFC 139 is 5 months away. It's odd, UFC has seemingly had 3 events in what seems like a month, and now their next 6 are quite spread out. Yeah, but UFC Live 6 is only 3 away from Cruz's last fight. That's mostly who I was referring to

  17. That's a fine main event for what's pretty much a glorified UFN. Sucks for the UK audience that they'll only be getting a glorified UFN, but it is what it is. Last I heard, plans for any type of show in the UK this year had fallen apart, so at least you're getting something.
  18. The show seems to be on a mission to show not just Walt's descent into becoming an evil bastard, but the drag effect that it has on those around him. Wouldn't make much sense for Jesse to not go through with it.. or wouldn't have had as much of a dramatic effect, at least. That being said, I loved the opening of the episode, and how it made Gail's story all the more tragic. For a cook, he seems like an all-around good guy and, unlike Walt, innocent.
  19. He didn't and isn't leaving Strikeforce under less than pleasant circumstances, though. He's too hurt to make the date which Showtime is apparently unwilling to budge from, so the winner of the reserves bout is taking his place. Given how surprisingly civil Dana's quotes were about the situation, I'm assuming this was ultimately a Showtime decision and not a ZUFFA one. But then, that doesn't make sense since Overeem is one of Strikeforce's top 3/4 draws, so who the fuck knows?
  20. .. Because of Franklin? >_> If anything, Tito/Evans 2 makes it a hotter ticker alone than Davis/Evans.
  21. The reason it takes so long is because of the quantity of fighters in the MW4 database. After the first few days of beginning a new game, it shouldn't take as long to go from day to day.
  22. What's the spoiler policy in the thread? Watching the premiere right now.
