The more I look at them the more I actually really like the jersey as a throwback redesign. The helmet and pants need to change though. Maybe a modernized classic GIANTS on the side of a solid blue helmet and the aforementioned blue pants.

I honestly appreciate that they're trying to do something unique and feel like more teams should be attempting it. I also think they'd look much better with blue pants as the khaki really sticks out like a sore thumb.

I don't doubt this at all. But clearly the Lakers aren't trying to wait and see after firing a guy that took them to WCF, won them an IST, and brought them back to the playoffs.

This reminds me of when LeBron was about to leave the Heat and told them to draft Shabazz Napier. They drafted him and LeBron left behind a burning wreckage. Now the Lakers fire the coaching staff to try to coax him into staying and he's likely influencing them to get unproven JJ Redick at coach before also packing his bags. Gotta appreciate the consistency.

Absolutely. But if they don't someone will certainly sign him undrafted to lure LeBron. I could certainly see a team like the Warriors making a play in that capacity if they have the cap space.
