  1. Absolutely stunned by what's happening in the NE-Bal game right now. 24-0 Baltimore and the first isn't even over yet. Wow.
  2. NFL Wildcard Predictions! Green Bay @ Arizona The Packers are the most overrated team in the NFC playoffs (and in the playoffs entirely, depending on how you feel about the Jets). The Packers have a mere two victories over winning teams this season, both at Lambeau. Here is the list of Packer victories: Chicago St. Louis Detroit @ Cleveland Dallas (quality win #1) 49ers (decent victory) @ Detroit Baltimore (quality win #2) @Chicago Seattle @ Arizona (doesn't count for much considering Arizona didn't play their starters) The Cardinals are perhaps better than they were last year. They are a very hit or miss team, with a lot more misses than one would expect from a defending NFC champion who defended its division crown, and in fact, despite showing that Green Bay has very little quality wins, Arizona only really has one, although it is one that Green Bay would dream to have and failed at twice (Arizona beat Minnesota in Arizona). But Arizona has been here before, they have a playoff tested guy in Kurt Warner opposed to Aaron Rodgers, talented yet in his first playoff game ever. I see a shootout, but Arizona's the better team, even with Boldin hurt. Arizona 34, Green Bay 25 Philadelphia @ Dallas I feel that whoever wins this game will probably represent the NFC in the Superbowl. Dallas's defense has shown up and been vicious. Dallas wrecked Philly last week in what is basically a mirror match for this week. Both teams are explosive, if Romo-Austin gets hot, Dallas will probably win, if McNabb-Jackson gets hot, same for Philly. Dallas has more ways to win, a very good running attack and a better defense. Philadelphia has a much better coaching staff, in fact I feel Wade Phillips is one of the worst coaches in football. The Eagles haven't lost in the first round of the playoffs since McNabb and Andy Reid have been there. Heck, Philly won a road playoff game in the first round last season. Dallas has beaten Philly twice this season. I think this game is a basic coinflip, but I do think Andy Reid will make the correct adjustments based off of last week's thumping. Philadelphia 22, Dallas 17 New York Jets @ Cincinnati Depending on how you feel about the Jets, they're either one of the most dangerous teams in the playoffs, or the least deserving. Either way it's a lucky draw, the Bengals have stunk for a while, and even during their winning streak weren't anything to write home about. The Jets had an absolutely terrible mid-season, and their only showing of strength recently was their victory over Indianapolis (which they need more credit for, they were down only 15-14 when Manning and company went out). The Bengals haven't rallied over the Chris Henry situation at all, I think it has been a major factor for this team losing life. The Bengals win this game with Carson Palmer returning to Pro Bowl form and avoiding Revis. The Jets have the best rush defense in the league, and should be able to stop Cedric Benson. The only other way the Bengals win is Mark Sanchez throws 3-4 interceptions and the Bengals have a lot of short fields. Lucky draw for the Jets to have to play the Bengals. NYJ 17, Bengals 10 Baltimore @ New England The Ravens running game is scary, and the defensive, while no longer the best in the NFL, is still tough. Joe Flacco has improved and had a good season. The Ravens are similar to last season's Eagles, a few bad losses, and a record that doesn't show who they really are. The Patriots are the Patriots. 8-0 at home has to command respect, and Tom Brady is one of the greatest playoff quarterbacks in NFL history. It hasn't been the nicest looking season for New England, and losing Wes Welker was huge, but I'll take the home team in this situation. This is Tom Brady's first playoff game since losing to the Giants in the Superbowl. I don't see him going away lightly. Patriots 23, Ravens 16
  3. Tom Brady has had the overall better year though. Brady: 28TD, 12INT, 4,212 yards, his team is 10-5 and Division Champions. Roethlisberger: 23TD, 12 INT, 4,108 yards, his team is 8-7, and might make the playoffs.
  4. I read this, forgot what thread I was in, and thought that years of wondering why the fuck Bullets is more politcally incorrect than Redskins had been put behind us. You have ruined my day. To answer those years of wondering though, I somewhat recall there was a shooting near Washington (it may have even been the sniper thing, I don't remember), so the Bullets changed to the Wizards.
  5. Portland won't beat LA. LA's only threat, ironically, is Houston. The Rockets are a strange team that have the tools to bother Bryant (Artest, Battier) and if Bynum isn't 100%, Yao will have an excellent series. In the East, I don't think LeBron James is going to be stopped.
  6. I've bought tons of games off of E-Bay and never had a problem. Ironically, my only online problem was on Amazon, and I just said fuck it to the $14 game.
  7. Yes, this is very lame. Admittedly, since I heard my PS2 Slim has so many problems with Max drives and codebreakers and stuff, I never can get any edit packs. And I could never figured out the logic editor well enough to make people, so that was discouraging as well. I wish they'd just release Fire Pro HD in the States. Sigh.
  8. Happy to hear that it's doing well in the box office. Perhaps then we defnitely will get a sequel.
  9. I love the Friday the 13th series, the Halloween series, the Nightmare Before Elm Street series. There's no doubt that generally, as far as the term "good movies" are concerned, most of the entries in these three films aren't. This movie, compared to the Friday the 13th series, is solid. It's an excellent reimaging of Parts 1, 2, and 3. Ranking the movies (with Freddy vs. Jason) I see it like this. 1. Jason Lives (Part 6) 2. Part 2 3. Part 3 4. Freddy vs. Jason (I'm actually surprised at the the hatred toward this one) 5. Part 1 6. Friday the 13th 2009 7. Final Chapter 8. Jason Takes Manhattan (Part 8) 9. New Blood (Part 7) 10. Jason Goes to Hell (Part 9) 11. Jason X (surprised at the amount of love this one has gotten in this thread) 12. A New Beginning (Part 5) I do think this can be the Batman Begins to the Dark Knight. It was a solid setup movie, and now that the premise has been set and the background is all there, they could spin the sequel whichever way they feel like it would work. I wouldn't even be surprised if they could make some Tommy Jarvis stuff work. I think the potential is there for a very good sequel. It's good to see Jason taken so seriously again.
  10. I think the hidden key in all of this is that Miami gets Jamario Moon, who could be a very solid 6th man off the bench behind Beasley.
  11. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time The part where you go to Kakariko Village and it's just engulfed with flames. I mean, just the realization of it all was great. Super Smash Brothers Melee Adventure Mode. I beat Bowser in quite the easy fight, then, wha? Giga Bowser??? I mean, he was easy to beat as well, but just for a few seconds I was like damn...
  12. I was quite surprised that wasn't reviewed, as said before, the Cards woulda had the ball at the 28 yard line. And really, that was doable. I personally believe Larry Fitz can catch anything. Crazy NFL season.
  13. In terms of when it happened and the the score swing of when it happened (possible 14-10 to being down 7-17), I can't recall a Super Bowl play being such a big momentum changed ever.
  14. This is such a bad pick and I know it. Cardinals.
  15. Goal for February: Pick as many games as possible. Already pissed I missed Nadal-Federer.
  16. Its Double-O Seven, not Zero-Zero-Seven, so that wouldn't make a bit of sense..... Well I mean I know it's said double 0, but it's still the numbers zero, zero and seven. I was just trying to find an easy Z.
  17. F should be some kind of Final Fantasy. I would guess VII because it's supposedly iconic. For Z you could put 007 Goldeneye. (Zero-Zero-Seven), and for P Perfect Dark.
  18. Eagles Steelers Uh...EDIT, the game hasn't begun yet, no idea why I initially picked the Ravens. Must have been a brain freeze.
  19. Look, I don't know anything about soccer at all, but do any of these games ever have a combined 3 goals or what?
  20. Ugh. Sometimes I hate being a Knicks fan.
  21. While it's cool to have 14 wins, I did pick like every game I could possible. I do think that monthly $2,500 is very winnable. I mean, not this month, but like in Feb.
  22. That's Kurt Warner you're describing, not McNabb. The second line is refering to Kurt Warner. I said I hope a NFC team wins the title. Because I like McNabb. And the second line is about Warner, and I like Warner.
  23. I do hope one of the NFC teams win the title. I always liked McNabb and I would be happy to see him finally win it. And I'll always mark for the veteran who's been there before, career went down, and now he's back, just like I rooted for Favre last season.
