  1. Little Shop of Horrors This is the original, not the remake. Pretty good movie, very funny. I really liked Jack Nicholson's cameo. 7.5/10 Pulp Fiction Saw it for the first time today, and it was awesome. Loved the story. It was really interesting, exciting, and just plain awesome. 9.5/10 Edit: The Shawshank Redemption A great movie. The best "jail movie" I've ever seen. Superb acting, and lots of drama. 9/10
  2. Just watched Nosferatu (1922) A classic horror movie from the silent era. Great acting, and I loved the audio score. Really helped make the movie creepy. And I must say great makeup too. This would rank among my top 10 favorite horror movies. 9/10 Recently watched Pirtaes of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl A great movie, one of the best movies of 2003. Johnny Depp was at his best, and the supporting cast did very good as well. A great mix of comedy and action. I used to prefer Dead Man's Chest, but after rewatching this, I consider them equal. 8.5/10 Note: My movie ratings used to be like 5.6, 7.8, 9.4, 4.4, etc.. But for now on, I'll only use ratings like 7, 8, 6.5, 9, 4.5, etc.. I also went back at past movie I've reviewed and slightly changed the ratings to what I agree with. Kill Bill volume 1: 9.5/10 Scarface: 9.5/10 Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back: 9.5/10 Clerks. :9/10 Clockwork Orange: 9/10 Sin City: 9/10 Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope: 9/10 National Lampoon's Animal House: 9/10 Nosferatu: 9/10 The Warriors: 8.5/10 Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi: 8.5/10 Kill Bill volume 2: 8.5/10 Clerks 2: 8.5/10 Chasing Amy: 8.5/10 Fearless: 8.5/10 Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl: 8.5/10 Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest: 8.5/10 What's Eating Gilbert Grape: 8/10 V For Vendetta: 8/10 Ali: 8/10 The Cabinet of Dr.Caligari: 8/10 Dogma: 8.0/10 Ong-Bak: 8/10 Super Size Me: 7.5/10 Freddy vs Jason: 7.5/10 The Libertine: 7.5/10 Black Mask: 7/10 The Exorcist 3: 7/10 Star Wars Episode 1: Phantom Menace: 6/10 Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday: 5.5/10 The Ring: 5.5/10 Troy: 5.0/10 Phantom of 10,000 Leagues: 5/10 Freddy's Dead: The Final Night Nigmtare: 4.5/10 The Hills Have Eyes (remake): 3/10 The Benchwarmers: 2.5/10 Edit: Doctor Blood's Coffin A horror movie from the 50-60's. Not very good at all. Bad acting, and quite boring in several scenes. 4/10 Phantom of the Opera (1925) I heard that the 1925 PotO is the best version, and it probably is. I also saw the 2004 version, but hated it. This movie has great acting, and audio is excellent. Story is very interesting. And the movie itself has very good quality for a 80+ year old movie. 8/10
  3. A good song to dance to? Sexy Back by Justin Timberlake. Personally, I don't like him a lot, but whenever I hear the song, I start dancing. It's to the point where I can't control myself.
  4. Sorry typo, I meant 50cents, or $0.50. I can't find the cents symbol on my keyboard. Edit The Cabinet of Dr.Caligari This 1920 silent horror movie can be found for $1 at Wal-Mart along with Dr.Blood's Coffin. This is one of the best horror movies I've ever seen in my life. Very spooky, great acting, and an interesting story. it's too bad that it's only 67minutes long. 8.0/10 Freddy vs Jason As a fan of both Friday The 13th and Nightmare On Elm Street, I really like this movie. Out of the 18 Freddy/Jason movies, I rank this as the 10th best. I also felt this movie really redeemed the series' as Friday The 13th parts 7,8,9 and 10 were far from good. Nightmare On Elm Street parts 5 and 6 were just as bad. However this movie really does lack in the horror aspect. it's more action based. And it is odd watching a movie where Jason is the "good guy". 7.6/10
  5. Just remembered Kevin from Kevin Spencer. Didn't mind the show that much, but I loved that character. His father was cool too. And the imaginary bird-guy.
  6. That song that played in the last scene of The Devil's Rejects. Awesome song, and only ever heard in again in Forrest Gump. And any Madonna or Cyndi Lauper song from the 80's is good. Or maybe Tiffany's "I think were alone now".
  7. Kill Bill volume 2 Not as good as vol.1 but still a great top notch movie. I'd rank it in my top 30 favorite movies. Great acting, and really a fasinating story. That movie had less action and focused more on story which was alright with me. The score was great, just not as good as the one in volume 2. the last kill/fight scene really lacked, and was too anticlimatic. 8.5/10 Phantom of 10,000 Leagues A cheesy B horror movie from the 50's. Bought it at Wal-Mart for $50. I got what I paid for. Kinda boring at times and stiff acting. Somewhat enjoyable though. 5.4/10
  8. Billy Talent ll. Very good album, I just prefer their first album.
  9. The Simpsons: Bart Simpson, Homer Simpson, Mr.Burns Futurama: Fry, Bender Kramer from Seinfeld Archie Bonker from All in the Family Red Foreman from That 70's Show Gohan from Dragon Ball Z
  10. Sin City Stunning to look at. Visual aspects get 10/10. Story is great as well. Never read the graphics novels before, so I wasn't familiar with the story or what to expect. To my surprise the movie was 3 smaller stories. That was pretty cool. Acting was top notch as well, Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, and person who played Merv were my favorites. Can't wait for the sequel. 8.8/10 V for Vendetta One of the best movies of 2006. Great, interesting story telling. It was somewhat long (approx: 2hours 15minutes) and never had any boring moments, so it gets props there. 8.3/10 The Benchwarmers I hated this movie so much when I saw the trailers non stop on television. But I saw it anyway. I shouldn't have. I never laughed or gave a chuckle once during the film. For a comedy movie, that is truly awful. The "humour" itself wasn't that creative or well thought up, just stupid. The story was the only highpoint, and that was mediocre. 2.5/10
  11. What's Eating Gilbert Grape I'm a big Johnny Depp fan, and this is one of his best movies. A great mix of comedy and drama. I also give a thumbs up to Leonaro Decaprio for his great acting. 8.0/10
  12. I already mentioned Kill Bill and Hero, I personally consider them foreign. I'm also gonna add Fearless, it's one of favorite martial arts movies, and one of Jet Li's best. And also the Bruce Lee films Chinses Connection, Enter the Dragon, and Return of the Dragon. My favorite anime movie is Ninja Scroll, and is one of my favorite movies of all time. I'll also add Street Fighter: Alpha, its a lot better than Street Fighter 2: Animated Movie.
  13. Huh, so Kill Bill is foreign then? Because a lot of shooting took place in Asia, and a lot of Asians were hired to work on the movie.
  14. What makes a film foreign? Can you consider Kill Bill or Lord of the Rings foreign because they were shot in Japan and New Zealand? And technically because I'm Canadian, I can consider any American move foreign. I can say Clerks is my favorite foreign film. But if I dont count either my favorite foreign films are probably Ninja Scroll and Hero.
  15. Any song by Ja Rule is crap. Chamillionaire "Ridin Dirty" sucks. Any song by Pussy cat Dolls. Any song by Panic at the Disco. Any song by Falloutboy. Any song by Hedly. Any song by Simple Plan. Any song by Good Charolate. "Wake me up when September Ends" by GreenDay. Beyonce's new song "Devavu" and her recently released single. Paris Hiltion's "Stars are blind". "Unfeaithful" by Rhieana(cant spell her name). Neyo sucks. Every song by 50 Cent is garbage. I love No Doubt, but I dont like Gwen Stwfani as much solo. "Hollaback Girl" and "Rick Girl" I dont like. I love GNR, but I hate every song by Velvet Revolver.
  16. It was a pretty good list overall. Just very random. Hell I never heard of the song "everlong". I do really like Rhapsody and Hurt, so I'm happy.
  17. Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (aka Nightmare on Elm Street 6) An odd movie. Story was kinda lackluster. The movie was stupid, and had many laughable moments. By this time in the series, Freddy was anything but scary. However I did like the special effects. Pretty good for early 1990's. This was the worst of the 6 Nightmare movies I have seen. (Have not seen New Nightmare yet) 4.7/10
  18. movies I saw in last couple days. National Lampoon's Animal House A great movie. One of the best comedies I've ever seen. However I did slightly prefer the NL's Vacations movies more. 9.0/10 Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Nightmare Better than part 7 and Jason X. But still not that good. This was definitly the strangest of the Friday movies. I'd rank it about on par with part 8. 5.5/10
  19. Thanks for all the suggestions. Now that I finished Carrie yeterday, I plan to read Pet Sematary in a day or two. I'll also read The Stand. Then I'll slowly start looking at libraries and used book stores.
  20. I only own season 1 on DVD, and its great. I may buy season 2 in the future. I personally love the first 11 seasons, and I feel it goes downhill around season 12. My favorite episode from season 10-17 is "Behind the Laughter", the season 11 finale. I cant pick a favorite all time episode. But one of them is the Stonecutters episode.
  21. Also, ignore Gerald's Game and Dreamcatcher. There's distinctly good Stephen King, and distinctly bad. Those two books are decisively the latter. Also, pick up Misery. Probably the most genuinely scary novel Stephen King's ever written.
  22. Thanks for all the suggestions. I got an idea of what Stephen King books I should read. In the future I'll look into finding Dark Tower series and IT. And I found Hostel to be a poor movie. Like Hills Have Eyes, it was a complete gorefest. There was nothing scary. The first 45 minutes of the movie were boring as shit. The story itself was lame and generic. ...Cabin Fever was laughable bad. It was just stupid. The characters were the worst. And sorry for going off topic.
  23. -Dream Catcher: 0 -Needful Things: 1 -Gerald's Game: 1 -Hearts In Atlantis: 0 -The Dark Half: 1 -From a Buick 8: 0 -The Stand: 4 -Pet Sematary: 2 -Firestarter: 0 -Cujo: 2 -Dark Tower series: 2 -Cell: 1 Looks like I'll read The Stand next. That should take me a while, it's like 1000 pages and I'm not a fast reader. But I'm up for it. Also do you realy need to read Dark Tower series in proper order? And Rated-R Superstar, Cabin Fever and Hostel were bad horror movies, and I doubt Hostel 2 will be much better.
  24. How many books are in the Dark Tower series? And is it simply "Dark Tower" "Dark Tower ll" "Dark Tower lll" etc.. or do they have different titles?
