  1. David Sullivan in being a smug, smarmy cunt shocker. Still, we are shite. Always hate going to West Ham.
  2. Brann and The Sand Snakes aside, when exactly? Tyrion, Varys, Melisandre and Davos have been killing it this season and that last scene with Jon was pretty great. The rest has been fairly par for the course as far as GoT goes - I can't honestly say I find it any different to other seasons.
  3. Sounds about right. He just got the Inter job on my Coventry save. Speaking of Coventry... Burton managed to draw their last 5 games to gift me the League One title. Coming up on half way through the Championship season and we're sitting in 9th, 4 points outside the playoffs. Not bad, as we were predicted 23rd and given no money to spend at all. We're woefully short up front though, dominating so many games but missing a huge amount of chances. Hoping to finish in the top half this season and get a decent goalscorer in for a push at promotion next year.
  4. The camera focused heavily on potion bottles in both the bath scene and the scene in the last episode. It might not only be the necklace that keeps her appearance up.
  5. Either that or Levy's played a blinder to get more compensation money for his inevitable summer exit
  6. Game of Thrones and Walking Dead make me sad that more people don't just "watch" TV. Everything seems to be analysed to within an inch of it's life and it really sucks the enjoyment out of it. I've seen people asking how Jorah could possibly have found the ring in all that grass, or where the dogs went or how the Sand Snakes got to Tristayn. Am I the only one who honestly doesn't care? I mean, not only can all of those things be explained with a little thought, but none of them really have much bearing on the overall quality of the show.
  7. You're not wrong with being optimistic and I personally think Liverpool will go through. But I always find the "I've seen us pull off comebacks before" argument always strikes me as odd. It's one United fans make a lot as well (or used to, when we were actually capable of a comeback). Surely you've seen your team NOT manage to come back just as often, if not more?
  8. Not sure that's entirely true in all cases regarding different tactics home and away. I've used the same one most of the season for both home and away games. Away games are definitely tougher, but it still seems possible to have a modicum of success by just finding a decent system and playing people in suitable roles. Agree with your other points though. I was totally bossing it in the league for a period. 10 unbeaten, 8 wins. Home to mid table Rochdale in the FA Cup and got turned over 3-1. Followed that up with defeat to League 2 Luton in the JPT. After that, 3 back to back league wins as if nothing had happened. Having said that. I won 4 Prem Titles, 2 FA Cups, 1 Champions League and 1 Europa League in 4 seasons with Everton on FM2015. I didn't change a single thing with my tactic from my very first game, so the increase in difficulty this time around is appreciated.
  9. I thought Anfield was just like Old Trafford for atmosphere. Nice and loud before kick off and when the home side scores. Like a library at all other times? Defenitely seems that way on TV most of the time.
  10. Is it me or is FM16 significantly harder than last year's version? I've actually started to get into a game now, but I've had to continually tweak my "go to" 433. Early on I was getting absolutely destroyed by crosses, so I set my defensive line higher, in an attempt to not give their full backs/wingers time on the ball. Now I regularly get done over the top. I know that seems obvious but I swear the differences weren't as prounounced last year. Anyhoo, just going into February in my first season and I'm second in League One with Coventry, 1 point behind Burton. Had to send Adam Armstrong back to Newcastle due to him being utter shite in the false 9 role. Thankfully, Marcus Tudgay and Jacob Murphy are banging them in. We've easily scored the most goals in the league, but do give up a fair few (half) chances over the top. I'm hoping that's more down to quality of players than the system though. Promotion would be great. I normally start in the Prem or Championship, don't think I've taken a team up from the third tier since like CM97/98. Will make for an interesting challenge.
  11. Lack of drug cheats was clearly Liverpool's problem last night
  12. I can only guess that between Reddit Circlejerks and EWB hating everything, I was on some sort of 'internet annoyance' kick and decided to round it off on the grandest stage of 'em all.
  13. My computer at work isn't working and I can't do anythjng until its fixed... Whilst waiting I made the mistake of reading the comments on BBC Sport on the Leicester article. I am now dumber.
  14. Just reading the SiGames forums ahead of starting my FM16 game tonight, and seen some posts relating to a bug affecting stadium capacity of lower league clubs when they are promoted. Seems pretty game breaking. Anyone here had any problems in the lower leagues? I was going to start a Conference North game but not sure it's worth it now
  15. Apologies for the double post, but having gotten suitably bored by my above Barcelona switch, I think I'm going to finally make the jump to FM16 since I can get it fairly cheap. Links to decent picture packs anyone?
  16. Not surprised about Evans. Always felt that the evidence that was made public didn't add up to the charges. Will be interesting if he is ultimately acquitted. The whole thing has destroyed his career.
  17. And I've just won 2-0 at the Bernabau... I have a feeling Barcelona is going to be a bit too easy. Though, just checked my board confidence and it's "very insecure" due to the wage bill. Might not be long for this job!
  18. Speaking of teams that are bad... Crystal Palace. Jesus, we have strolled through this game.
  19. Finally got my Barcelona (previously Everton) season going. Can't sign anyone as we're a mere £1.3m over wage budget. Woefully short on centre backs, as Mascherano and Mathieu have gone, and midfielders now that Iniesta has retired. Had to promote a few youngsters and I'm playing Munir out of position at left back while Alba is injured. 2 wins from 2 though... 5-2 against Atletico in the Super Cup first leg and 7-0 at home to Granada in the league. Having Neymar, Suarez and Messi makes it a tad easy though... I suppose I should try and get Messi and Suarez's 400k+ wages off the wage bill. But short term success is more important for me. I'm not staying longer than 3 seasons anyway!
  20. Reid throws himself on the floor amd gets a pen. Huth gets hugged trying to jump and gets nothing. Sounds about right - refs in general are clueless about what to penalise on set pieces.
