Arrgh! I can't decided what team to manage. I want to do something with a small team in lower leagues or in a small country. That's what I was doing at Boh's and arrgghhhh (Bangs head against wall). Why can't I find a team!?

Shit my saved game isn't reloading at all and I've had to lose my Stevenage game, had just booked our place ijn the fourth round of the FA cup an LDV southern semi and was top of the league by 15 points too :'(

Same thing has happened to me with my Bohemians game. It was the first game I'd really gotten into and we were chasing the title and now I'm back to where I was not being able to get into any new game I start. It's a bugger.

Just happened to me again after restarting a game. Autosave means I can go back to the day I took charge of my first job :ohwell: wish I klnew what the fuck caused it to not save properly

I always make 2 or 3 copies of my saved games, as I've had problems in the past with them.

I finished about 11th with Fulham in my first season, and Portugal won the World Cup with Boa Morte the Player of the World Cup...

....I hate the Bosman ruling, it makes me sign so many naff attacking midfielders >_>

First off, just in case one of our games has eaten into your love life in some way, Happy Valentine's. If you're a girl, it's from me, and if you are a boy, it's from my mother. There you go, everyone on the forums has now had a kind of card this year.

More importantly, this is an announcement that we are currently in final preparations of a data update for the PC & Mac versions of FM2006, which will also combine with a mini-patch fixing issues that have been brought up on the forums that were deemed important to get sorted. Most of these are tiny things that will effect hardly anyone, but are unfair for those that are affected.

As always, I doubt this list will please everyone but we've done what we can, and all we can. We're testing it at the moment, and it will be out in the next couple of weeks.

+ Fixed crash in some situations where certain squad selections rules combined with extreme player availability issues caused the match to crash.

+ Fixed occasional problems with club finances that could cause a crash.

+ Fixed a situation in tactics outside a match where it could loose your tactical changes (if you picked a preset tactic and then browse off the screen).

+ Fixed problem in network games where sometimes a client going into a match would mean you get stuck and can't go anywhere.

+ Restricted interest levels from fairly high profile players concerning joining smaller clubs

+ Restricted foreign signings for Welsh/N Irish/Rep Irish league teams

+ Last round of group matches in Olympics should now be played at the same time.

+ Mid-season break for Czech Repulic should now start in 3rd week of January.

+ Hong Kong cup competitions: fixed game counting Chinese players as real foreigners.

+ If a club wins both the Rio de Janeiro Opening and Closing championships, this club now becomes the Rio de Janeiro State

Champion regardless of which team got more points in total.

+ One team is now relegated from Chinese First National Division in 2006 season.

+ Slovakia: FA Cup winner should now get into UEFA Cup in 05/06 season.

+ Brazilian teams can sign as many foreigners as they want.

+ Sudamericano Sub-20: Fixed problem where games where being played at the stadium of one of the countries in the

randomly chosen instead of stadiums within host nation.

+ Sudamericano Sub-20: added correct 2005 host (Columbia), added 2007 host (Paraguay), added 2009 host (Peru).

+ Fix for whereby a team that wins a cup competition and is meant to play in continental competition wasn't because they

+ Ensured Australian NSL clubs don't get youth players in excess of maximum squad limit.

+ Spain: fixed problem where non-eu player is getting picked for a match by AI despite not being registered and not having

a squad number.

+ Fixed bug where Greek teams like AEK and Panathinaikos where playing all their champions league group matches in 2nd

season at home.

+ The minimum of one Malaysian national U21 player meant for Super League but was applied to FA Cup has now been removed

I was going to post about a similar match I just had, where I drew 0-0 with WBA. I had 20 shots, 12 on target, and Kuschak got man of the match. Mother fucker.

Oh, and check out a player called Vayacheslav Hleb (sp?). He is from Belarus, and is now my forward with Collins John. Class strike partnership.

In the space of a month, Volz has said he hates Boa Morte, and McBride has said he hates Malbranque (both Boa Morte and Malbranque are unhappy at the club, doing the usual "I could do better" thing). I'm gonna leave it for the time being, and see what I can do with it.

It annoys me how many Goalkeepers suddenly put in MotM performances against my teams. No matter how shit they've been leading up to the game, 9 times out of 10 they'll get an 8 or more against me.

I just finished my first season at the helm of Italian Serie A club Fiorentina. We finished 3rd, exceeding all expectations including mine. I have a very good young squad which I hope will be able to compete in Serie A and Europe for years to come, especially as I add more talented players around them.

Does anyone have this problem?

I've been training players to play in new positions, and when they get to accomplished I train them in another one, but only positions which already have circles on their "Positions" screen. Problem is, when I start training them to a second (or third) new position, they "forget" the one before and it falls back from accomplished to competant and I have to train them there again.

Doesn't happen with all players, but does happen with roughly half a dozen.

Probably has something to do with the players 'adaptability' rating. Either that or you can only really re-train players for one position. I kinda remember that from earlier games.

It might have something to do with age, or how often the player actually plays in that position. I've had players increase their capabilities just by playing them in a position.

If a player spends so long working on a new position, then he's bound to become less good at an old one which he doesn't work on.

Oh and marksbros, you couldn't retrain players to positions on older games could you?

You could, but it would take at least a year for them to get the position.

Has anyone downloaded the patch, with the updated transfers etc? I've managed to download it, but I get an error when trying to update, any help?

I've registered at SI Games to ask there, but you have to wait until you're accepted.

EDIT: Got it sorted. If anyone else has a problem were it says the process is being used by another program, or something similar, restart your comp. It worked for me

It's another of my gripes about the game being too easy.

It pisses me off when I'm top of say, the championship, and a club comes in who are already relegated from the premiership, and signs one of my players on a bosman because the player wants to "play in a higher league". West Ham did it with Genea from Wolves.

I keep getting this Error message when it says " FM2006 is running out of memory" then straight after with no time to save "FM 2006 has run out of memory and will now quit" Any Suggestions ?

Just finished my second season at Spurs winning the Premiership, league cup and the Champions league. Premiership I won quite comfortably, only lost twice the whole season in it so I had time to rest my players for the CL final but Milan were really good and I won 4-2 after extra time but it was a brilliant game and could have went either way.

I've spend quite a lot but that's only cos Chelsea seem to be willing to pay whatever I ask for when they want any of my players so I have tonnes of transfer money available.
