it sounds a "nice" song,

but it's not a bloody footy anthem!

Who do you think you are kidding Jurgen Klinsmann? <<< Genius!

This seems to happen at every tournament, the FA manages to pick the wrong song to have as its 'official' song. Like at France 98 when instead of having Three Lions 98 they choose that piece of shit by Emma Bunton and someone else

It's an alright song I guess. But it's certainly not a football song. Football songs are chants god damn it. Dizze Rascal to record the official Euro 2008 song...COME ON!!!

I REALLY hope that was sarcasm...

talkSPORT's England song is getting released in the next week or two and is much more chant-worthy. Two years ago they did the "Come on England" to the tune of Come on Eileen which was the right idea. We need chantable songs, something we can sing at the games or down the pub, not some "musically nice" piece of artistry.

NO...actually it wasn't. YOU KNOW IT'D BE AWESOME!!!! He might produce something that you can get pissed and sing along too...or you know...write another shit football song?

Actually, in reality what you want to do is give two blokes down a pub with no musical experience a piano, and ell them to write a football song. You'd strike GOLD!

Its crap. We need obvious lyrics like "We're gonna win. And we will kick your ass in the process". While neithers true it really gets both the fans and the players motivated. Vindaloo and 3 Lions are classic examples.

Thank god for the re-release of Three Lions.

England men, England women, England boys, England girls

Tears of pride will stain your faces when we conquer the world

England is the motherland of football

And the World Cup will once again be hers

Football will be our only weapon

Skill and power will be our only shield

We fought them on the beaches

Now we'll play them on the field

And once again the world will surely yield

England, England, England, England, England, England, England England, England, England, England, England, England, England

From the Tyne to the White Cliffs and the Cornish Sea

Every rolling moor and every shining city

Every town and village shouting ever so proudly

For an English victory

Our boys have got balls, all we need's a pitch

Scratching away at the 40 year itch

Pull on the England shirt, be proud of every stitch

'Cos this year's pickings will be rich

England, England, England, England, England, England, England England, England, England, England, England, England, England

England, England, England, England

Engerland

England, England, England, England, England, England, England England, England, England, England, England, England, England England

That song (England) is great! Also, I didn't know that British Whale is "performed, recorded and produced entirely by Justin Hawkins"...damn that's cool. I love him even more now. Fix the teeth though.

More importantly, how fucking good is "America"? That might just possibly be my favourite song of all time right their...it is just like a Stan Bush song...only strangely even awesomer (If that's a real word).
