People seem to think the sun shines out of Steve Carell's arse and how some how this film is hilarious, haha this guy is 40 and hasn't had sex, haha he came before he even got it in, haha he collects action man.

I mean whats funny about it? theres nothing original there, its predictable and there aren't any good jokes. I thought it was shite but then I see everyone proclaiming it hilarious and I hate it even more.

Yeah, I admit that if you don't like Jim Carrey's style of comedy, you won't like a lot of the comedy films he is in, as they are often a vehicle for his brand of comedy, but I at least find it a lot less "hit you over the head obvious" than Vaughn's...and Carrey can also act outside of comedy films, which helps.

It is a personal preference to the style of comedy though, naturally.

To be fair, Vaughn rocked the balls in Swingers. And lest we forget that Vaughn was in The Cell and stuff like the Jurassic Park sequel already? That had to be a bit of a different turn for him.
