Anyone that says English is the easiest language to learn has obviously grown up in an English-speaking nation.

English is one of the most impossibly complicated and fucked up languages ever :P Learning it as a second language would be ten times worse than us learning, say, French or German - the latter of which especially is a piece of piss.

Take Matzat for example. He's been trying to learn it for like, five years plus now... :P

It just so happens that we used to be better at sailing and killing people (and both at once) than the other countries. So there are lot more English-speaking countries in the world ¬_¬

French is a hell of a mouthful compared to English, but it's far more logical. English has fuck all logic in it anywhere :P

Matzat is dyslexic which contributes to why he types badly, really.

Finally got this game today and I'm loving it so far. A couple of graphics problems though, I've installed kit and logo packs, none of the logos seem to be working and neither is Arsenal's home kit. Anyone had these problems? Anyone able to tell me what packs they downloaded and how they installed them to get them working?

Left Kayserispor after 3 and a bit years in charge. Finished 4th, 1st and 4th, and was 5th the next season after 7 games. I left because I'd already been dumped out of the Cup (that I won last year), and the Uefa Cup in the first round to Hamburg. Didn't fancy going through another 30 straight games in the league season where I get angry at my players for letting in goals.

I had a good time in Europe though. First year was in the Intertoto, beat some shite side in the 2nd round but knocked out by Bremen in the final. Next year I beat some shite in the Uefa Cup qual, but couldn't maker it past Lazio into the 1st round, lost 2-0 away and drew 1-1 at home (although they did equalise in the last minute). The next year I'd won the league, so went into Champs League 3rd round quals, lost 3-0 away and drew 1-1 at home to Valencia. Had Leverkusen in the first round of the Uefa, lost 2-0 in the away leg, but won 4-1(!) in the home league, so got into the groups. Lost 1-0, 1-0 and 1-0 to Lazio(a), PSV(h) and Man City(a), but beat Hannover 1-0(a), so that was the end of my European adventure.

Jobs haven't been flooding to me since departing, and the planned move to America wasn't on, so have taken the job at Samsunspor just four games after leaving Kayserispor. They have a 34 yr old striker called Aykut Serkan who has scored 20+ league in the three seasons, so he's the only weapon I have. In their first season they came 2nd in the second division, then 7th in the top league, then 11th. They're now 17th (1 win from 11) and in the relegation zone. £1.4m in debt, with a chairman loan of £15m... no funds to spend, and an aging squad. Hopefully I can avoid relegation.... and beat Kayserispor over there in March.

Couple of questions. First, does anyone have the config file to correct the Germany etc national teams? Secondly, on the preferences, where it says extra files, if I want board takeovers to I need to tick that box? And if i don't want Harchester Utd to I have to untick them?

It's almost as if we're trying to get promoted >_>

Charlton were taken over in January by some rich English bloke, allowing them to spend £9m on new players during the transfer window (compared to my £900k) so chances are they'll end up winning the thing. Yeovil didn't help either by injuring four of my first team in my last match as well, the dirty bastards.

Several of my players are complaining about public expectation being too high. We're top of the league, what do you expect?

Maybe it's a sign that they want to play at shitter clubs? :shifty:

I've also noticed that when I started, Geoff Dunford was "willing to listen to offers". But now that we're sitting top of the league by ten points and we've paid off 1/4 of our debt, he's "happy to stay". Yeah. I bet you are.

I'm up with 7 games to spare, still got to secure the title but I've got a four point lead over Charlton now.

I managed to piss off half my squad by saying I'll need to bring in some new faces for next season, but ho-hum.

Just beat Santos 3-0 away in the first leg of the Sao Paulo State Finals. 90 minutes away from another State Championship.

Sure it's not the biggest title in the way, but I try to win whatever I'm in, I just want to rack up as many possible titles as I can :)

Following on from my previous post...

I've been in charge for 13 league games, and things have not gone well. Just can't get anybody on goalscoring form. I've got Tamas Priskin coming on a free at the end of the season, but it might be too late by then. My record so far is:

P13 W1 D5 L7 F12 A18.

And the league table looks like this:

samsunrel.jpg

Not too pretty. 10 games to go, 12 points off safety. Kayserispor have been about 15 unbeaten so are making a decent challenge. They've bought in some shit players though. I have a couple of my old boys coming in the summer on frees. And bought one in January for 70k. I made a few sales in January too, about 300k on 3/4 players. Hasn't helped the situation much though, despite the chairman pumping in 500k, I've still lost money since joining the club. All the clubs seem to beat each other, and I can't beat any of them, so I'm just getting further and further into the mire :(.

I've decided I'll need at least 6 wins from the final ten games. They include Kayersipor away, Galatasaray away and Besiktas away. Not to mention I'm 8 without a win. Gayness.

I started a Fulham game, and struggled to a 15th place in my first season.

I then managed to do 1 better the next season, and get 14th.

With a huge loan debt, they are giving me no money, so I'm fucked if I'm going to do anything of note for a while.

Though those two places got me enough recognition to get the England job >_>

Talk about a frustrating season. I don't know how many times I pounded this keyboard. >_>

My Villa side finish 3rd last season, then we turn into draw specialists and draw 16 games next season. :@

I have a dying hatred for Man Utd, so I felt good when I beat them 3-1 away, final game of the season putting them into the Uefa Cup rather than the Champions League. Oh, and did I mention that Man City took their place? :D

An interesting career, I was at Tamworth - I got relegated. Oops. I wasn't doing too good in my second season, but decent, somehow.. Auxerre offered me the job, I took it - middle of the season - saved them from relegation and got offered the England job. So I quit Auxerre and focused on the national side. A-ha. I won the Confederations Cup, then failed to get far in the World Cup, being knocked out by France early on, so I quit, I figured someone else deserved a chance. After floating around jobless, the newly promoted Newcastle manager left to greener pastures, I took on the task of keeping them up. The first half the season was dreadful, up until November I think I'd won two matches, and drawn too many. We couldn't score to save our lives, it was ridiculous. As December came, things looked up, we got a couple of wins and January appeared, and I brought in a 3m rated forward for zilch, and despite him not setting Tyneside on fire, the squad is, we're doing really well, and I've dragged us up to 11th, which is amazing - as before 17th/18th was our home. Taylor is immense, and Given is still inhumanly good. Van Damme is in on loan, and is doing great parterning Taylor. Maloney was signed before I got there, and he's finally showing me why, scoring at will from the wing. I signed Bougherra early on, for cheap, and he's been great - unfortunately an injury seems to have dropped his stats, huge shame. Also, Francisco Merida is way too good to be at my club right now, he'll grow into the type of player I'd love to build my team around along with Taylor.

Has anyone else heard about the "Your son" myth? I've read about it and seen screenshots over at sigames but never really believed it until about 15 minutes ago. Basically "your son" comes up through the youth ranks and is along with the new youth batch you take in each year. My name in the game is Johan Hanston, German. This kid comes in called Steve Hanston, German. STEVE? >_>

His favourite personnel is me. >_>
