A load of fucking bullshit, it's really not about music anymore is it? Cool isn't dressing up like some scene retard, whether it be punk/disco/chav/emo/indie/urban, and yet that list is full of a load of those wankers. Bleh, I dunno, I was going to ignore it all since I read it when NME was released (fear not, I don't buy it, I read it for free at work and get a good chortle),

I don't hate on NME, I hate on the art-fags they insist on continually insist on printing and acting like a bit of glitter, make up and some 'stylish' dress sense make you a quality musician.

By name, I know exactly fifteen of those. So NME would think I was uncool... which I think makes me cool.

Edit: They chose Beth Ditto because she's Non-Conformist? Is that what they call it nowadays? I call it Fat and Gay and living next door to Cloudy.

Edit 2: Reading up on the Horrors.. they don't even have an album? And their live show is six songs long. How can you be cool with only six songs?

This shit sucks. None of those people are cool. I'm going to make my own cool list, with Lemmy and hookers.

She's fat, gay AND fights for gay rights! zOMG! Oh and of course, she had a 'horrid childhood', but hers was different because she 'was' white trash. And now she wears lots of make up and dresses way too small for her! With stripes or polkadots!

Thom Yorke only said a couple of weeks ago that he'd start cancelling shows because he hates the amount of damage on the environment a tour bus creates. Real fucking rock and roll... I love how cool is defined by how many exclusive interviews NME have/will get from people higher in the list. The cunt from the Arctic Monkeys is all the way down to 35 probably because he wouldn't play ball and make NME his exception in how he does little to no interviews.

Not to mention the concept of cool died years ago anyway to most people... All except for your pasty faced, scraggy haired, scarf wearing indie kids who read NME. Fat lesbians are anti-establishment, and you know how good it is to stick it to the man.

NME did indeed have credibility, on-and-off until the late 90s, when it went drastically downhill. Prior to that, though, it was pretty much the music and youth culture magazine for the most part. Now it's been far eclipsed by The Word, Plan B, Dazed & Confused on the culture front, and just about every other entertainment magazine out there. It's a shame.
