There is the defining between best and favourite, though. Some of my most favourite goals aren't necessarily the best goals, but just stick with me more.

My top three would be Gascoigne vs Scotland http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SedNrDAGEN4

Bergkamp vs Leicester http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvzhsoKA7fk...ted&search=

Bergkamp vs Argentina

Closely followed by http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRryuQ3NdcE by Le Tissier. He almost passes it into the net from 30 yards, exquisite.

Fuck it, look at this for more Le Tissier beutiful-ness http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-b01xfi1yI...ted&search= I doubt anyone has scored more beautiful goals than Le Tissier, honestly.

Oh, and I was a sucker for Yeboah's goal against Liverpool http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-b01xfi1yI...ted&search= and against Wimbledon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luOFc4oHBeg

Yeah, that wasn't the best wording. Let's go with favourites because it'll probably throw up more variety than best.

David Ginola's for Spurs against Barnsley in the FA Cup has always been one of my favourites. Gascoigne's versus Scotland from Euro '96 and Darren Anderton's against Columbia in the World Cup I've always listed in my top five/ten, too.

The second Le Tissier goal in Liam's link is really something else. The one with the Street Fighter advertising boards, that would definitely be near the top if not at the top of my list. What a player.

The one against Newcastle? Yeah, that's a beauty. I love how he still had loads to do yet calmly as fuck rolled it past the keeper.

Oh god I miss Le Tiss :(

There's no fucking way Ronaldinho's goal is the best ever, van Basten's bicycle kick was far better than that. My personal favourite might well be Mendieta's volley from a corner, or Seedorf's insane 45 yard scorcher. Here's a collection of the best, with lots of Maradona.

Bergkamp vs. Argentina FTW. Its already been youtubed in this thread.

The LeTissier vs. Newcastle one is a thing of beauty though. Its the second one one the highlights real Liam linked. The long ball, chest down flick with the underside of the foot to control and bring into his stride, flick over the defender, huge chip over the second and the calm finish into the corner on the volley. That is a fucking beautiful goal I could never tire of.

Then there's always Jagielka vs. Leeds back in 2002..... Imgine his Middlesbrough one from earlier this season, but from further out, a tighter angle, and in the last minute, equalising the match against a Premiership club who are very big rivals. And on the half-volley.

I was standing outside a TV shop on a day out in town watching the end of that match. The woman threatened to turn it off but we convinced her to leave it on, just in time to see Bergkamp score the goal.

We went mental in the streets.
