Now THERE's a surprise I wasn't expecting.

Queen, Bowie, Iggy Pop and Elton John as DLC?

Pantera, White Stripes and Nirvana?

I need a new credit card ¬_¬

Awesome.

I have to say that I know it's their signature album and all but Sgt. Pepper's over A Hard Day's Night is a little dodgy because I think they got all the Sgt. Pepper's songs that will actually be fun to play on Rock Band in the actual game itself (except perhaps A Day in the Life). But then, I just want "You Can't Do that," dammit

Apparently those albums aren't the only ones who are going to feature on their online service, they're just using it to work out how much interest could be generated from their most popular albums before digging into the more obscure.

Which makes sense, as Harmonix have said that they have access to ALL Beatles material.

It's also great to know that there's no Beatles tax that was rumoured to be happening a while ago, where songs would be bumped up for being from the Beatles.

And apparently, the reason why songs are included that are already in the game is because these will be much more accurate representations of the songs, and not just tweaked for Rock Band. And if you count the amount of points between songs and albums, you get 4 songs free if you buy Abbey Road as one... which would technically give you these 'origonal versions' of songs for free.
