Well so much for this one...

Fox Cancels Drive

Drive has been impounded.

Multiple sources confirm that Fox has axed the Tim Minear creation after less than three weeks on the air. I'll go out on a limb and say the show's crappy ratings were to blame. House encores will take over its Monday/8 pm timeslot.

There is one piece of good news: I'm hearing the final two unaired Drive eps may get burned off on consecutive Fridays in May

wtf that is fucking lame as hell. I was really getting into the characters. Maybe they will release everything on dvd or try to get picked up by another station

how can you cancel a show after 4 episodes? stupid

Well, unfortunately, there's just no more room on the schedule. We've just got to accept the fact that Fox has to make room for terrific shows, like "Dark Angel", "Titus", "Undeclared", "Action", "That '80s Show", "Wonder Falls", "Fastlane", "Andy Richter Controls the Universe", "Skin", "Girls Club", "Cracking Up", "The Pitts", "Firefly", "Get Real", "Freaky Links", "Wanda at Large", "Costello", "The Lone Gunmen", "A Minute with Stan Hooper", "Normal, Ohio", "Pasadena", "Harsh Realm", "Keen Eddie", "The Street", "American Embassy", "Cedric the Entertainer", "The Tick", "Louie", and "Greg the Bunny"

C'mon, you knew it was coming.

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahaha.

Tim Minear surely can't claim to be at all surprised by this?

And that 'there's not enough room on the schedule' thing is complete and utter bullshit. Why commission the fucking show if you're not going to give it a chance?

lol, Fox.
