Some of these lists have been really cringeworthy, not mentioning any names...

Not to be an elitist prick, but christ do I agree.

1. Motorhead

2. Dead Boys

3. Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers

4. The Controllers

5. Iggy and the Stooges

6. No Alternative

7. Black Sabbath

8. Reagan Youth

9. Chuck Berry

10. The Mentors

I like this list. There might be some omissions, but I don't think any of those bands should be knocked off of my list, as I'd say these are a good representation of what my top ten would be. I'd say the top three are easily my top three of all-time, Motorhead being a sort of new love. I've always enjoyed them quite a bit, but it's recent that I've really began to think that they are the ultimate rock and roll band. I'd say my list exemplifies what I feel about rock and roll, and how I like it to be performed. I almost feel bad putting Chuck Berry so low, but it's no slight on him, he should be on everybody's list really.

This might also mark the first list that I have omitted Nomeansno. It's strange because I had been in love with the band for a few years, but my interest in them has since waned, and I can't really explain why.

1. Savatage

2. Iron Maiden

3. Judas Priest

4. Black Sabbath

5. Dio

6. Blind Guardian

7. Gamma Ray

8. Iced Earth

9. Angel Dust

10. Chris Caffery

Top three are solid, but the others could be in any order. Especially the last two I could have easily replaced with any of Annihilator, Blaze, Saxon, Nightwish, Axxis, Testament or Pink Cream 69.
