It is with a mixture of sadness, regret and mild nausea that Metal Hammer brings you the quite unfortunate news that internet rumours are suggesting Limp Bizkit have reformed.

Wes Borland will not be part of this reunion and will allegedly be replaced by former Cold and Evanescence man Terry Balsamo. Try not to get too excited now.

I don't think they had split, they were just kinda doing a Guns N' Roses with "Chinese Democracy", except with "Unquestionable Truth II".

Oh yeah, I'm under no illusion that LB are really any good, but if you're of a certain age, the Chocolate Starfish album brings back memories and everyone knows the words, and it's awesome to chuck on at a party (or after the shop closes if you're weird like me and the guys at Gamestation). It's like Oasis, I'm fairly sure my opinion on them is well-documented around here, but if Wonderwall or the one or two others I know the words to (not the fucking Look Back in Anger bullshit horribleness) come on at a club or something, and I'm very, very, very drunk, I may mime >_>

After seeing this yesterday, it made me play Starfish again today, and it further cemented my absolute for "The One". If they had released that back in the day, I don't think they'd have as much of a negative image in the mainstream they do now.

Limp Bizkit would have more of a positive image if Fred Durst weren't a complete cock. Simple as.

And personally, I'm skeptical about this reunion. On Limp Bizkit's Myspace, Fred Durst has been spouting shit that they will reform since the sessions for The Unquestionable Truth Part 2 fell apart, and we're talking way back in 2006 here. There have been blog entries saying: "Stay tuned as we've got some exciting news shortly" or "Fred is shooting a film, but he's laying down lyrics at night despite the stressful nature of being a director, honest!" If they did reform and if they did a show in the UK, I would definitely go to it, but this is just the same old lies from the looks of it.
