fineintent
Crouch is ok, I wouldn't say he's one of the best strikers about, he is in a nice vein of form though. I could name at least 10 better strikers in England alone.
Summers
The fact he's scored 10 goals in his last 9 England matches proves he's one of the best about at the monent. I could name better forwards to, but that doesn't mean Crouch is showing everyone what he can do at club and country.
fineintent
I'd say that proves he's in good form, not that he's one of the best about - the likes of Defoe and Anelka are probably better, but not in as good form if that makes sense. He's good, but not that good. The fact that 5 of those goals came against Jamaica and Andorra might explain a few things though.
Farmer Reil
I still say you could put a plank of wood tied to a barrell up front and fire crosses at it all day, it'd score eventually. That's all Crouch does. Stand in the area waiting for a cross. He very, very, VERY rarely makes his own goals, and even more rarely makes goals for other people. He's just a target that wingers can aim at. Edit: At International level. I haven't seen a lot of Liverpool. Summers
He's still playing well. Defoe's probably better. I'd rather have Croudh in my team than Anelka though.
fineintent
It's quite sad with Anelka - technically he's flawless, he's just a lazy/moody cunt. He could have been world class.

Summers
It's crazy when you consider just how good he CAN be, but rarely is.
fineintent
If anyone can sort out a moody foreigner it's Big Sam though, so he could suprise a few people. I wish Aaron Lennon would start ahead of Downing against Macedonia, but I don't see it happening.
NobBe Nobbs
More like why not have all the fringe Spanish players become Andorrans.

I wish Aaron Lennon would start ahead of Downing against Macedonia, but I don't see it happening. Aaron Lennon plays on the right and Downing plays on the left. Why would he start ahead of him in the wrong posistion? I want to see Lampard dropped from the next game, he has been shite. Lennon to start on the right and Gerrard can take Lampards place. And give Darren Bent a chance.
fineintent
Lennon can, and has done for Spurs and Leeds, play on either flank.
MDK
He can? Well give him a try. He is a natural left footer or ambidextrous?
fineintent
He's fairly both footed, obviously right is his favoured foot, he definately should be looked at before Joe Cole returns - Downing hasn't really offered too much so far and Richardson barely plays for Man Utd. fineintent
The only problem with Darren Bent is that he doesn't really offer anything unique, although he's a very good player. He will more than likely be the forgotten man of international football - particularly when Rooney returns and if Walcott develops or if Michael Owen ever plays again. therockbox
I was surprised to see Defoe start today, he was pretty average against Greece and seeing as this was always going to be nothing more than a training match I thought Johnson/Bent would get a proper (not just 10 minutes at the end) chance. fineintent
I wouldn't say Defoe was average against Greece - he linked up with Crouch well (which is important as without Rooney, Crouch is the focus of the attack) and layed on Lampard's goal. His movement is always good, it's just a matter of other people finding him really.
