therockbox
By far and away the most mental thing to happen this year.

DavidMarrio
This is the closest I'll get to seeing a new Mike Bassett so I'm made up personally.

Liam
At least I feel he'll be more likely to pick players on form than his own favourites.
FLiam
He'll be so far out of his depths at international tournaments. He's had no European football experience has he?

The Lusophone
Allardyce took Bolton into the UEFA Cup in 2005-6, getting into the last-32, beating Zenit along the way. He resigned with Bolton in 5th place at the end of April the next season to join Newcastle.
Colly
McLaren and Hodgson made the UEFA Cup final... On the plus side Sunderland are fucked.
DavidMarrio
Sunderland are like when you've eaten something dodgy and your stomach is upset. You go the toilet and you leave a bit of a mess...you manage to flush most of it away apart from one stubborn bit that no matter how much you flush just stays there as a reminder. Sunderland is that bit of shit you just can't get rid off no matter how hard you try.

A lot of people said this about Hodgson too though and that didn't work out. Not the best appointment, but I'm happy for Sam. He's a good manager and deserves a shot, but I don't think this will make England any better.
Hobo
I feel like Big Sam is the England manager for a post-Brexit world.
Szumi
Big Sam is now officially your manager, folks. Say what you will about him, but I bet he makes sure you never finish in the bottom three of your qualifying group!
DavidMarrio
We don't have any problems with qualifying. We can beat San Marino and Andorra It's when we get to actually tournaments we shit the bed.
Bobfoc
The FA should just hope England qualify for the 2018 World Cup, only to boycott it over the issues of alleged bribery, drugs, human right violations or whatever else pops up in the meantime. Then we can all claim for years to come that England absolutely positively wouldn't have messed things up when it mattered. Rinse and repeat for every major tournament and English football will be perfect in our own minds.
