I'm not getting 'precious' about anything. I wasn't a fan of the guy or anything, but it's laughable that people find it 'cool' to make jokes over somebodies death. And it's laughable that had some type of random new guy made the joke, he'd of been banned from here and crucified.

Don't worry about it. It is an alternative to everyone posting "omg I can't believe dis i just listened to father and son rip", which is always welcome.

But you shouldn't take any offense. Stephen Gately was pretty much my girlfriend's first love () yet she doesn't mind my dreadful, tasteless jokes. Well she doesn't complain about them at least. She doesn't laugh either though. >_>

I used to call him Stephen Gayley back when he was alive. In fact, when my sister told me he died, she called him Stephen Gayley too. I thought that was just the common name for him?

To this day I'm convinced that when he was in Boyzone the first time he was billed at Stephen Gatley, only adding the e when he came out to really push the point home. I apply a similar theory to Gareth Gay-tes and Gayaeme Le Saux...

Second most successful post-Boyzone career? Did you not see Keet Duffy on Corrie? Or the one who looks like Keet but isn't on The Games? Gatelys only above the old fella in terms of fame.
