So we got a mix of my "best" and "most likely" draws. England (N) and Slovenia (Y) .... Algeria is just kind of there and unknown. Working on the level of Egypt, we should be able to handle them. Can't really be to upset with this one. But ... Germany in the knockout ? shite

I like Mexico's chances too. The should be able to get out of that group. Honduras is in what I feel will be the most volatile group. Probably won't make it out, but if anyone has a down day Honduras is talented enough to sneak the points.

Group of Death = G = sorry North Korea, have a nice vacation. Wow. On the other hand, does Italy even have to show up before the knockout ? Jeebus.

Won't be on the same levels of hype as when they got Brazil and Australia in their group last time around (they have a running football rivalry with Australia and there are loads of Brazilians living in Japan and vice versa after the war). However the Japanese love European football. Spain or especially England would have given more hype but as Holland did so well in their group, and because of their "total football" history the Japanese media will present them as a footballing goliath. It's a tricky group but I think the media will probably suggest that Japan are capable of four points, enough to squeak them through if Netherlands win all three of their games.

I'm surprised to see people picking Ghana above Australia. I could see Serbia doing it, but Ghana have never beaten us and, aside from their midfield, don't really have what it takes to beat us now, either.

I'd say Germany first, Serbia/Australia to fight it out for second, and Ghana to look admirable in finishing fourth.

I think Chile should be able to take on Honduras and the Swiss, but I'm pretty sure we'll be destroyed by Spain as their midfield will tear us apart, especially if we play the usual 3-4-3 Bielsa usually uses. And if we get past the group stages we'll have to play Brazil most likely, and that hasn't gone too well for quite a while. I think we've conceded something like 20 in 5 games or something crazy like that, scoring only a couple against them.

I'm secretly hoping for Spain to screw up the group stage due to overconfidence, though.
