I was the only one who voted for Craig Ferguson? Really?

Alan Carr is okay, but he gets annoying really easily.

Steve Martin is a legend. Absolutely fantastic comedian. How did he only manage one vote?

Not a huge fan of Stewart Francis. Tim Vine does the one-liner routine much better.

Russell Howard has risen up quite quickly. When Channel 4 did their "100 Greatest Stand-Ups" in 2006 he wasn't even on it, but the revised list in 2010 say him at #35. I really like him too.

Daniel Kitson is great.

I was the only one to vote for Jerry Sadowitz, I'm not surprised. He is fantastic though. Going to be a shame when Frankie Boyle comes in higher on the list, Sadowitz is everything Boyle is with the added feature of magic tricks.

Jo Brand annoys the hell out of me.

Lee Mack is hilarious. People like to forget how good he was before just because he became a permanent feature on BBC.

Not sure about that really....plus, they do it kinda differently. Tim Vine is a lot cleaner than Francis, but when Francis hits with one of his better lines, the guy is hilarious.

Daniel Kitson is wonderful. Who else voted for him? Guy is a pure genius.

Lee Mack is at his best on the Boosh radio show, but his stand-up also has it's moments.

I don't mind Jo Brand, but her stand-up is old hat. When she's not being filth for sake of being filth, she's quite amusing.

I was watching an old Russell Brand set the other day, he was waaaay funnier way back when he was fat and had long hair.

Stewart Francis is a genius. I adore him.

I missed all of this somehow. Still, it's probably best I didn't vote in here as my favourite comedian right now is Frank Skinner. His weekly show/podcast on Absolute Radio is REALLY funny - well at least the bits of him being funny are. The other folk on it should just act more straight and stop trying to muscle in on the comedy act. I think I like him because he just talks about stuff from the 70s when he was growing up, and mixes cheesy jokes in with cleverer stuff. Not outlandish or weird, just oldschool and funny. He's grown into his act nicely.

Frank Skinner is awesome...fuck...should have put him in over Sarah Millican to be honest...who honestly is nowhere near my favourite comedians, she just got in on the principle of being a (the only (pretty much)) woman who I find funny.

And I was the other person who voted for Daniel Kitson.

The more and more I see of Russell Howard, the less and less I rate him. Tom Stade is great. And he gets his shit, but I'm a McIntyre fan, his stuff on his program the other week about daytime adverts was top notch. He's not pushing boundaries, but fuck it, he's funny, and that's all I want.

Will also back Jo Brand. She's very hit and miss, but much like Millican, her delivery is always top notch.

You know, I like Ron White. His schtick seems genuine and I laugh a lot at the stories he does. The strongest of these fucking "Blue Collar" comics listed.

That said, I hope Paul F. Tompkins makes the list, as I find him one of the strongest comics currently running.

He was born in Frankfurt apparently. Have changed it to American/German though, seeing as he's spent most of his life in the US.

I'll get the Top 30 up next week as I'm away over the weekend; I'm going to try to get one set of five up every day, so the list should be finished next Saturday.
