The best part was when fans ran onto the pitch half way through the first leg to tell their players to sort themselves out and play better. Wouldn't have minded doing that a few times myself last season after Sunderland came out for the second half and played so badly.

For anyone who cares, River Plate have been relegated (from a league that use an average over 3 seasons point system to stop the big teams from going down too), so this year we've seen River Plate, Deportivo, Monaco, Sampdoria and.. er.. West Ham.. all go down. :o

It doesn't deserve to be on that list. Other teams cited are too noble to be compared to those stingy "ciclisti".

The second half of games, or the second half of your season generally? :P

Games. Injury crisis's in the second half of the season can't be helped, but throwing away leads after half time can be.

Although a deeper squad would probably mean that 8 injuries wouldn't be such a big deal, but we seem to operate with a paper thin squad for the most part.

Could be worse, you could have a squad like Pompeys last season and basically have a bench of 4/5 people haha.

Always bullshit when you can't fill the bench. They had a reserve and youth team, put them on the bench, unless you've bizarrely put the kids on pay as you play deals. Worst comes to worst tell the fella in the wig to bring his boots.

Banana thrown at Roberto Carlos.

Disgusting but sadly unsuprising. I don't see this getting resolved by 2018 at all.

Thats why I thought the World Cup bids were a farce mainly due to the sheer amount of racism in Russian Football its unbelievable.

Also that A-League bloopers is just amazing haha

The president of leading Turkish football club Fenerbahce is one of about 30 people who have been arrested in an investigation into match-fixing, Turkey's state media have said.

Aziz Yildirim was held on Sunday, along with his vice-president, the vice-president of Trabzonspor and an official from Eskisehirspor.

Several footballers were also arrested, including at least two Turkish internationals.

Police are searching Fenerbahce's HQ.

The state-run Anatolia news agency named some of those arrested along with Mr Yildirim, including Fenerbahce Vice-President Sekip Mosturoglu, the technical director of Eskisehirspor, Umit Karan, and Vice-President of Trabzonspor, Nevzat Sakar.

Two of the footballers it named were Genclerbirligi striker Serkan Calik and Ankaragucu goalkeeper Serdar Kulbilge.

The agency said that raids had taken place simultaneously in 12 cities.

Istanbul-based Fenerbahce are the reigning Turkish league champions.

The NTV television station said police were investigating alleged match-fixing in last season's league competition.

Associated Press quoted the Dogan news agency as saying the final league game of the season - a 4-3 victory by Fenerbahce over Sivasspor - was one of the matches under investigation.

A number of arrests into match-fixing were made last year but these are by far the highest-profile arrests, the Agence France-Presse news agency reports.

No comment on the news has as yet been made on Fenerbahce's website.

Lol women's refereeing. Blatant isn't the word.

On a separate topic its nice to see Steve Mclaren helping out his former player and countryman Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink by letting him train for his coaching badges at Forest.
