Same one, attacking mid from Montenegro I believe

We are also close to signing Henri Lansbury from Arsenal on a perm as well as Ibsivic (probably spent wrong) from Hoffenheim? Still no sign of defenders though

George John is a CB. Rumours about a loan move for Boyata from City or Wilson from Liverpool too, plus the interest in Onohua.

Most excited by the Ibisevic link though - looked a quality player before his injury - depends how he comes back from it.

The cash-plus-Yossi for Modric rumours have never made sense to me. Chelsea need to increase their midfield numbers, as you want at least 6 - preferably 7 or more - senior CMs to play a season of 4-3-3 (Josh, for all his talents, is still only 18 and still developing). Not to mention that Yossi's creative talents are the sort of thing we need more of in the squad, not less.

Owen Hargreaves is on the verge of signing for West Brom.

Charlton Athletic have rejected a bid from Newcastle United for goalkeeper Rob Elliot and have reported the Magpies to the Premier League. Charlton chief executive Stephen Kavanagh claims Newcastle's offer of £100,000 was rejected on Wednesday. However, the Addicks say Newcastle broke their promise when manager Alan Pardew made their bid public.

Arsenal have completed the signing of teenage Costa Rican forward Joel Campbell from Deportivo Saprissa. The 19-year-old has signed a "long-term contract" to move from his homeland for an undisclosed fee.
